My appointment at The Hills Nails felt incredibly rushed from start to finish... it couldn't have been more than 10 minutes. The technician barely acknowledged or spoke to me, there was little to no cuticle care, and my nails weren't shaped with much attention to detail. The polish was applied over my cuticles (as shown in the photos), and within just a few days it started peeling. What bothered me most was that when I politely mentioned my concerns to the owner, I was told, "Well, you got a basic manicure." To me, a basic manicure shouldn't mean rushed or sloppy. Basic doesn't mean there shouldn't be care, precision, or pride in the work. To make matters worse, after paying around $40 for the service, I was asked, "No tip?" in front of other customers. That was embarrassing and left an even worse impression. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a manicure to be done with care and professionalism, regardless of the service level. I arrive promptly on time and 5 out of 5 times my service started 20 minutes late at the earliest, last two times they were thirty minutes late. I have brought this up with the scheduler last time prior to my appointment and they were again 30 minutes late. The only reason why I did not leave is because I was with my young daughter who was very excited about her manicure. But I will not be coming back and do not recommend this nail salon to those who value their time. There are other great places in the area who do a better job with their scheduling.
