Craving a Central American breakfast/lunch/dinner? go to Gloria's! My two friends, husband and I went to "el rinconsito de sabor" for some home made style breakfast, the last time I was there I waited almost 45 minutes for our food (9 tacos 9 pupusas) and they were NOT busy, went there today the line was too long and I was trying to eat today not next week so we scooted on over to Gloria's, #1 the ladies were VERY nice the menu is very clear(pictures) and the prices are decent. Since no one had created a profile for them on yelp I did, by the time I was done (10 minutes tops) our food was out! Hot fresh and delicious, I've posted pictures, the dishes are HUGE! so if you want some delicious home made Central American food go here!! I will not be returning to "el rinconsito" since this place is MUCH BETTER nicer faster fresher, the pupusas hands down, AMAZING! they stuff those suckers up! Just go ..so GOOD!

Wanted to try something new and the reviews were good. Walked in and the music was very loud. So loud that myself and the women behind the counter were having trouble hearing each other. They do have the menus in English and Spanish which was nice. The women behind the counter was some what helpful. I ordered three steak tacos to go. Waited at the bar for my order. When the women came out she handed me my order without saying a word or even looking at me. The tacos were good. Wasn't completely impressed with the place, but I will give the place another shot.

This is a hole in the wall restaurant with decent authentic food. There are pictures of their menu in the photo section. The preparation of the food is on point. My children really enjoyed the tacos. Their Lomo Saltado has the same flavor but the fries were a bit soggy. Still overall we definitely expect to be back for the authentic tacos and to try more of their menu.

This place was great! All of my favorites from Central America at a decent price. A true hole-in-the-wall. I would go back. Just a few pics, but we ordered way too much food and took some home.

I love the food here! Everything except the noise and the drunks inside and out the restaurant. I'd change the appearance of the place.

Keep in mind that some of the staff there might not speak English, the gentleman at the counter was bilingual which was help since my Spanish is not great. They make everything to order so there might be a bit of a wait for your food but boy was it good! Shout out to the yelper who mentioned the hibiscus tea (aka Jamica in Spanish!) really good place you can order online as well. My husband and I can't wait to return. There are a few other thing to keep in mind while here. You order and pay at the counter, if you're dining in they will bring your food to the table and when you leave you can leave your stuff at the table. The staff will come and clear the table as there was a group of 5 that had left while we were there. There are plastic forks and knives in a container on the table as well as a roll of what is best described as paper towels that you can use as napkins. Again this place isn't fancy so I just want to make that clear. Also with the portion size of the tacos they actually put a decent amount of meat in them and the tortillas you could tell were fresh.

I do think that a mix of the steak and other dishes is a good balance but it would've been great to have more greens as an option. But then again, this isn't something that is unique to this restaurant alone or the type of cuisine. I would love to watch a great soccer game or other sports event here to root on a local team. It is the perfect combination of solid food, genuine vibes, and great service.

I looked at their menu, then set out to learn about their various entrees. My husband agreed to give it a try. Before going, we settled on trying "Pabellon Criollo" which is considered the Venezuelan national dish. We were here on a Saturday around 5 p.m. and were surprised to see a few large parties dining in. Also, people came in to get their takeout orders. Not sure as to how the ordering worked when dining in, we made our way to their counter. The owner, Carlos, spotted us and got 2 menus. We confirmed that we wanted to dine in. Carlos is very friendly and welcomes customers with a smile. He also was our server. To drink, I had a lemonade while my husband had a can of Coke. We let Carlos know that we were both having the Pabellon Criollo. This dish consists of black beans with a bit of shredded cheese on top, white rice, carne mechado (which was shredded), 2 arepitas (small arepas) and some platanos maduros. When the food came, it was obvious that the platanos were freshly made. Carlos also brought a bottle of brazza sauce (also called "salsa de amor). He told us we could put it on any item we wanted. It's a mild sauce which is mayonnaise based with cilantro. We enjoyed this dish. Everything was mildly seasoned yet still well flavored. Nothing went to waste! When it was time to pay the check, Carlos rang us up. We both say we would like to return and try their steaks. From start to finish, we had a great experience.

La Pupusa Loca -- Sterling, VA…read more I can't stop raving about La Pupusa Loca in Sterling! From the first bite, I could tell this place is committed to authentic Salvadoran flavor. The revuelta pupusas were packed with cheese, beans, and pork--they didn't skimp on the fillings. Every bite was rich and satisfying I also tried their La Pupusa Familiar (the pizza‑sized pupusa), and wow--eight giant slices, each like two regular pupusas in thickness and flavor. The bean‑and‑cheese rice version was out‑of‑this‑world cheesy, the perfect mix of gooey cheese and savory bean flavor. Huge portions, and every slice was amazing Their queso con loroco pupusa paired with their house-made salsa roja is truly special--the best I've ever tasted. It's bold and flavorful, and the salsa perfectly complements the cheesy loroco stuffing Service here is friendly and efficient--even when they're busy, the staff handles orders quickly and with a smile. A few reviewers mentioned the place can get lively or have a short wait, but that just means it's popular--and for a good reason! If you're craving top-tier Salvadoran food in Virginia, this is it. No frills, but every dish is packed with heart and flavor. I'll definitely be coming back--and you should too!
