This place was a little hard to find due to the fact that you can't see it from the street. You have to park and walk to the stores/restaurants that are in the central part of the shopping center. This place looked like it was new when I had tried it. They had a open sign up and no one was inside but the workers (I came at 11ish am during lunch). The photos really helped me decide what to choose. They don't have great descriptions if you like knowing everything that is in the dish- but they do have a basic description in english under the pictures. I got a some tacos and a cheese bean wrap burrito with a coke! I really enjoyed the taco's (that were packaged to go). They tasted fresh and included a lime with fresh cilantro and some diced onions. The burrito cheese bean wrap was kind of soggy after travel so I didn't really enjoy it. The coke was super yummy - I don't know what it is about coke in a glass bottle that really pairs nicely with mexican and el Salvadorian food! The inside of the restaurant was very aesthetically appealing. It looked like they re-did the entire place with three different themed areas. Family dinning, main room dinning and a tiki bar on the other side. I think this place does a fair amount of night life as there were lots of pre-strung lights throughout and a disco ball plus speaker systems. Bizarre experience. Walked in with some friends and wasn't greeted at all so we came to the counter. I think this meant that they thought we wanted to order carry out so we never received menus to look at and instead were trying to read off a broken TV displaying the menu but the options were rotating too fast. While we were trying to figure out what to order the women at the front started ignoring us and when we were ready it took around fifteen minutes for them to come out again. The tortilla chips that we got with our guac to share were straight Tostitos. Expected better. My friend enjoyed her carne asada tacos but as a pescatarian one of the only options was a bean and cheese pupusa which was okay at best. I can only speak for a small part of the extensive menu but the food is wonderful- traditional recipes done well. The tacos are delicious, especially tongue. The pupusas are popular for a reason, and their tamales are fair. There's a lot of parking shared by all the other businesses in the shopping center. Waitresses are very friendly! read more

Craving a Central American breakfast/lunch/dinner? go to Gloria's! My two friends, husband and I went to "el rinconsito de sabor" for some home made style breakfast, the last time I was there I waited almost 45 minutes for our food (9 tacos 9 pupusas) and they were NOT busy, went there today the line was too long and I was trying to eat today not next week so we scooted on over to Gloria's, #1 the ladies were VERY nice the menu is very clear(pictures) and the prices are decent. Since no one had created a profile for them on yelp I did, by the time I was done (10 minutes tops) our food was out! Hot fresh and delicious, I've posted pictures, the dishes are HUGE! so if you want some delicious home made Central American food go here!! Wanted to try something new and the reviews were good. Walked in and the music was very loud. So loud that myself and the women behind the counter were having trouble hearing each other. They do have the menus in English and Spanish which was nice. The women behind the counter was some what helpful. I ordered three steak tacos to go. Waited at the bar for my order. When the women came out she handed me my order without saying a word or even looking at me. The tacos were good. This is a hole in the wall restaurant with decent authentic food. There are pictures of their menu in the photo section. The preparation of the food is on point. My children really enjoyed the tacos. Their Lomo Saltado has the same flavor but the fries were a bit soggy. Still overall we definitely expect to be back for the authentic tacos and to try more of their menu. read more

Delicious & fresh every time!! I always call in my order and it's always ready. Love the service and the food. I have had a couple things and everything is always good. The chicken nachos are so filling it's my guilty pleasure. The tacos are flavorful and so is the Camarones a la crema. When it's in season the mangonadas are also yummy. This place used to be so good, but they changed cooks or something because the food is so bad now. The papusas come burnt to the point of being inedible and I've gotten food poisoning from the food as well. I can't keep giving this places chances to go back to what it used to be. read more

I want to give this place five stars but there were a few things that I didn't like food wise. The environment is very casual maybe even less than that, you don't have to worry about putting on a nice pair of jeans to go eat here. I usually don't go in until late night when they are about to start closing in an hour. It usually is pretty empty but I've only gone on weeknights so I don't know how their weekends are like. The parking is tucked behind the other side of CVS and Laser Nation, it's more of an open rectangle parking lot. I could see someone being able to back out a bit too much and hit the person behind them but I haven't had that problem. The food was great. I love the steak tacos that they serve, it's a very generalized option but you can't wrong with the tacos here. I also do enjoy their carne asada, the flat steak is very tender and it's greatly flavored. The rice is moist but a there is a hint of sweetness (don't think sugar teeth hurting sweet, just a small hint). I also do enjoy their pasteles, it's filled with potatoes, peas, and I think shredded chicken, it's a bit crunchy on the outside. Their papusa is okay but I enjoy them elsewhere. And I don't recommend the tamal con pollo because all you are really eating a very mushy corn floured tamal with one small chunk of chicken breast. Overall, I do keep going back to the place and enjoy myself with great flavorful tacos. So, you should try it too, it doesn't hurt to try. read more

I came in at 9:10they don't close till 10:30 they said the cook had to go home Cuh they had stayed there all day once they said we could order they exclusively said they couldn't make certain dishes when we were 1 hour 30 min before we came in the lady at the front who was at the customer service she was was pale and had black pants said we could not order because they were closing I asked them why they haven't changed the time on the hour she said it's been like that for 3 years it's not my fault your business is out of order and messy those 2 cooks couldn't even cook 2 meals and a drink and there was 4 of you guys that is embarrassing this place is dirty once I stepped in there was stuff all over the floor did not say anything due to the fact that we should not judge a book by it's cover but this store should be closed down immediately if you cannot give service then why are you open never come here again read more

customer service here is so bad. today i witnessed how fucked up hispanics are. im fully hispanic myself so nothing racist here but i was sitting here eating and i witnessed a homeless come in and didnt pay much mind to it he had money, nobody attended him at the table (20min waiting) so he gets up goes to the front and the workers just look at him and keep doing what theyre doing. someone else comes in they attend them quickly. i was heated at this point. i get up and ask the lady why no ones attending him she has the nerves to say "es que creemos que el esta drogado" which in english is "we THINK hes drugged" and goes on to ignore me. just because YOU THINK hes drugged he cant eat? this guy was being nothing but nice, he wasn't being disruptive. i asked him what hed like to eat and he said chips with salsa i told the lady she said they dont have that. so i asked him what food hed like and he goes to say anything im just hungry i will eat anything. i ordered him some carne asada. the worker was clearly mad. Everyone deserves to eat drugged or not. most sweetest man. we sat there until the food got there. only god knows how they treated this poor man after i left. This place is awesome! You can taste the passion in the food. It's clean and the staff is always friendly. I had Papusas. They are amazing.

I just tried to order carry out. The lady who answered did not understand English and hung up on me without any attempt at communication. She did not even bother to explain in Spanish or broken English that she couldn't speak English. I then called a second time and got the same result. I then called their sister restaurant in Herndon (Tipicos Gloria Restaurant). That lady also did not speak much English, but between her limited English and my limited Spanish, I was able to successfully make an order. If only the lady at the Sterling place was as friendly. read more

Great steak chimichanga prepared for take out right before closing time. Still really hot by the time I made it to my hotel, it was perfect, the fried tortilla still flexible but without a trace of oil. Served with rice, avocado, beans, and a small salad. Restaurant may be difficult to locate if driving in Sterling Blvd., it is right behind CVS. read more
