Geremy was right on time, I think even a few minutes early. Super nice and professional. It was a flatbed tow truck and we were able to drive it right onto the bed. We were able to pay via tap / card and he put in all the necessary information so we could send the receipt to our insurance and get reimbursed. He took it to the car repair center, and gave us updates once the car was dropped off. Once it was on the truck, we didn't have to deal with it at all.

Did my lift here years ago, also this event happened years ago. (review is very late, but started…read morethinking as I saw ads for them on Facebook regularly, people need to be aware of their practice) apparently they didn't tighten the steering knuckle lower 2 bolts on my Tacoma, clearly before I left I saw a thread sticking out on the lower control arm bolts, didn't say anything as I'd thought they'd honor their work, and thought they possibly even messed up the threads on that bolt that was loose which is why it didn't go all the way in, (as a mechanic I'm not going to touch something I'm afraid will break which would turn to my fault, liability is pretty important in the automotive service industry) they reassured me before I left that everything was perfect even though the skid plate wasn't installed as well until I said something, then within less than 6000 miles down the road and within less than a 6 month period, lower control arm came loose and went straight to the floor, took it back to them with a tow truck and they charged me for the labor to replace a lifetime warranty part from rough country as well as a CV axle that got damage due to collateral damage from the bolt coming loose. Clearly they didn't tighten the bolt with their response as "we loctite everything" well loctite only goes a long way when the bolt is torqued with a torqued wrench. A real shop would've comp everything and own up to their mistake and repair it for free due to technician negligence. But that didn't happen, rather just down another couple hundred dollars, around $800-1,000 to fix their mistake. But I mean the lifetime part was free which was great, one company at least honored something. Never coming back here again, neither will ever be involved with this shop ever again. Still have my receipt and can easily warranty stuff yourself on rough country website. Wasn't going to argue with these guys in person as they're pretty intimidated and aggressive when you put them on the spot. So it's easier to result in online reviews and let people know their practice as they're also firm with whatever they say with no room for talk or solution unless I'm guessing legal action is taken or a harsh review is made. They honestly just hungry for money, made the victim an even bigger one.

We built our business based on trust and avoid anything that will break that trust." This is false advertising. My husband went there for a simple service regarding his tires. He agreed to their premium price. Without going into detail, there was a serious safety issue with my husband's car. My husband informed them about the problem; however the representative was reluctant to investigate the problem. The representative stood by his "experienced service staff." So my husband went to a reputable tire company to investigate the problem. The company discovered and concluded that American Tire Company negligently installed the tires improperly. Moreover, American Tire Company installation standards are generally set for commercial vehicles and NOT according to the specific type of vehicle that requires service. There is a sign in their office disclaiming that they are not responsible for any damages to the owner's rims but they claim to be very careful. Now I understand why they posted that disclaimer in the office. I issued a complaint with BBB. American Tire Company failed to offer any reasonable settlement. The Honolulu location is not trustworthy. I remember when the company was on Colburn St. when the company first started. SHAMEFUL! ! ! Maybe this location suits commercial vehicles only. "Quality repair services" ..."perform accurate and friendly auto repairs and tire services" is false advertisement. "We maintain a culture of respect, honesty, and commitment that extends to our people; both internal and external." These are all false statements in their website. "Caveat emptor! ! !" My advice is ....don't go to the Honolulu shop.

I had shown up early one morning, without an appointment, hoping to get in for the service, as my Ohana were visiting and I wanted to take them around the island. Kainoa got me in immediately and the usual hour and a half time allotted for an alignment went by more quickly than expected and we were on our way. There was a part I needed to replace in the back tire, which the mechanic found during the alignment. After a few weeks of waiting, the part came in and I took my car back to American Tire. They took care of everything promptly and efficiently. Even gave me a ride home (because they weren't too busy and had an extra person on the clock. This service is not usually provided, just fyi. They went out of their way, instead of having me wait for the work to get done plus the realignment, which would take approx 4 hours. Dre was super nice and we talked story on our short drive. Got two tires patched and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The pricing was very fair and felt it was worth bringing in for them to locate and repair. As someone that's also in the Waipahu area, this place is great for getting my tire services done.

AMAZING SERVICE BY RJ. My car died right when I got off the freeway early morning on a Sunday. Called multiple places to get a quote and 1) most businesses were closed or not answering 2) they were going to charge me a crazy amount of money 3) these places had mostly negative reviews. Luckily, I came across Tip Tows LLC and he answered, gave a detailed quote and an estimated time of arrival. RJ kept me updated on his travel to my location. Weekends are usually very busy for towing companies. If they are open during the weekend, they usually charge a higher price. Which makes perfect sense.. However, Tip Tows really tries to be fair on their prices. I appreciate that. RJ is very friendly and made this process WAY less painful. I can tell he takes pride in his job and helping people, and I definitely did not get the feeling he was overcharging me (I've had this experience with other tow companies). If you're paying with card, there is a $10 processing fee. However, he was kind enough to let me know so I don't notice a hidden charge later. I've experienced many businesses that leave this information out. If you're looking for a cheap, uninsured, clueless tow, they are not for you. Tip Tows is very fairly priced, but they offer outstanding customer service, piece of mind, and if they can't help you for whatever reason, they will try to find someone who can. We were almost home, like literally less than 5 minutes from turning off Fort Weaver and onto our main road in our neighborhood and our tire is blown. We drive the car with the flat into our turn anyway to get off main road and immediately call our insurance company to send out emergency roadside assistance. Within 10 minutes of placing the call a flashing Tip Tow truck pulls up behind our car and out comes Keoni, who introduces himself to me immediately, shakes my hand, and asks if I have been waiting long. What a nice guy I tell ya! All the stress of the flat tire, getting off work and getting stuck about 2 blocks from home all disappeared when Keoni arrived. He gave us great and fast service, and was always incredibly nice to us. What really touched me and what I will never forget is when he said, "Oh I'm so glad you weren't waiting long. As soon as I got the call that it was for emergency roadside assistance I hauled butt to your location. I always tell myself that if it were my Mom that was stranded on the side of the road, I would hope that someone gets to her and helps her ASAP". Thank you Keoni for your awesome service!!!! If ever you are in need of a tow or tire change, Keoni the super duper nice mechanic and driver is the guy to call. Brooks saved me in rush hour traffic. My alternator went out, while driving with me two children. My ins told me they called 20 towing companies. NOT one wanted to come to my rescue at traffic hours. Or the co didn't have a flat bed. Which is required for AWD. They said it would be a 5 hour wait. Then they called back with even wire news!! No one would be picking up until the next day. I was in no parking zone. In side street. Going toward piers. I could have gotten someone to drive from across island to get my children. But, I would have had to stay with vehicle , no telling what condition my car would have been in after dark . I was worried about my rims being gone also. Brooks called into to my ins. Said he heard about a lady with kids and wanted to help. Our hero Brooks came to our rescue He had the equipment and was able to accommodate my extra wide tires. He was there in an hour. Amazing miraculous company! Alternator gave out at the airport departure terminal. We felt defeated and out of options. Geico contacted them and initiated the pickup. They estimated an arrival time of 8:22pm and we just decided to hang tight until they arrived. RJ picked us up much earlier than that, actually around 8:00/8:05pm. With a click of his bubblegum we were on our way like magic through all the shortcuts unknown to man to have us dropped off at our destination. It was a fun adventurous and encouraging ride with a hard working and professional individual who was a master at his craft. Saturday night in Waikiki with a street festival blocking most roads, our Land Rover breaks down. On the phone for 45 minutes with our insurance road side assistance who can't find any tow truck companies who can help us because they are all busy, didn't want to drive to Kailua from town, or not equipped to load a 4x4. Started to call companies myself and didn't get answers, finally got to Tip Tows and not only did he answer but he was only 20 minutes away and can help! Took the car to our home in Kailua and was not finished until midnight. He could not have been nicer, provided a price up front and it did not change once we were delivered, text in route to keep us informed, worked quickly to get us going, takes credit cards, and emailed receipt to turn into our insurance. Tip Tow's service is awesome. Our day started great. We went to Sealife park and Hanauma bay. All of the sudden our car engine overheated and gave us a warning sign. So, we had to stop the car at the middle of nowhere. Kids were hungry and cold because it was getting dark. So we had to tow our car to town. Then we called several different company.
