Not a thing was damaged, everything was in the right room, and they believe that if they take it apart - they should put it back together. I was walking down the hall when I heard some noise coming from a bedroom - I peeked in and to my surprise, one of them was sitting there assembling our baby crib! Ours was not a small job and we had them from 8am to 8pm. They never slowed down, never got grumpy, and at the end of the day, every bed was assembled and ready for us to collapse into. Recently used these guys for a move and I'm not impressed. Let me state up front two of the guys were really cool, easy going and seemed like great guys...then there was Steve. Showed up two and a half hours late, they did call, but still was really unprofessional. Steve had a bad attitude from the start and just got worse as the move continued. I have a broken glass kitchen table that they reduced my bill by $35.00 dollars wow!!! What a fuckin joke! Multiple scratches on my oak bed set that were not there before! Then to tie it all up in a pretty bow...Steve swiped my card 4x's which he denied but caused a hold on the transaction. I felt as if he was looming over me if I would of been alone and not had a friend with me, I would of been frightened. Would not recommend. read more

Positives: - Steve responded quickly to all of the messages I sent to him on Yelp - Steve and his crew arrived at our house on time - Our furniture and all other items were handled with care Negatives: - Steve is a bit gruff in the manner he talked to my wife as well as to his crew - My neighbor across the street from our house said he could hear Steve swearing at his crew - Could not move our upright piano since they did not have the equipment to move it. He had never asked if we had a piano and I never thought to tell him since I figured a professional moving company would have the equipment to move a piano when they arrived. - When I questioned a charge that we were billed for, instead of explaining the charge to me in a professional manner, Steve basically shamed me in his response to me for asking about the charge. My wife and I recently used Tip Top Movers to move from our previous rental to our new home. Steve and his crew showed up exactly on time, and got to work right away. All three were polite and outgoing. They were able to load up our entire 2 bed apartment, travel to our new location, and unload everything all within the quoted 3 hour timeframe! Still great movers, but not so great at putting beds together. The first night I slept on my bed I heard something fall off and when I looked under the bed it was one of the many legs. (It's a California King). I also realized that very few of the legs were adjusted properly and I will need to have someone take the bed apart and put it back together again. read more

They were also very good about pointing out any existing damage existed on items before they moved it. They are upfront about their fees so there are no surprises once the move is complete. I didn't give him a clear enough picture of the amount of things that we had to move, so we ended up needing them longer than we had originally agreed upon. Memorial Day Weekend, 2012, was our scheduled move. After driving Steve nuts with confirmation emails, he and his associate showed up exactly on time and began a very smooth moving experience for us. They worked well, quickly and cared for our belongings as if they were their own property. Great moving company. Steve, Brandon and Kyle showed up about 5 minutes early. They were polite, friendly and hard working. Apparently I have a lot of stuff and I was moving from a 3 story loft which makes moving more difficult. I needed them to move a refrigerator and washer and dryer up from the garage as they had been stored while I was living here but needed to be put back in their original place. They accommodated my request, and were very careful with my furniture and belongings. If they had a question, they asked and did not assume something should go in a certain spot. Steve and his crew at Tip Top moved my family from Sacramento to the Bay Area. Two trucks, four men and one 16 hour day. There was no damage to anything. The morning before he arrived Steve had his car broken into and personal items stolen. This is enough to ruin anyone's day and could have ruined our move. Tip Top is not just a moving company local to the Sacramento area. They moved us aaaaallll the way down south from Livermore to San Diego. His crew helped do the final packing and in the loading of the truck was able to fit everything into their truck. (which truly is an art!)
