So for the last couple weeks now I've been testing my newly installed Ting Internet. All I can say is wow. Great work. From the first email about my install as a pre-order customer I've had the same person call me on the phone and email me. They were honest and accurate up front, through install, and on follow up to make sure things went great. Jose A. has been my POC for everything Ting to date. On my outdoor install they did a great job taking care of my lawn and even sticking around with me to test my irrigation to make sure nothing was damaged. On the inside install Leroy did an great job and was super professional. The supervisor even stopped by just to make sure things were going the way they should. I felt as if I actually mattered and wasn't a number like i'd be with comcast or century link. My speeds are just a 1GB up and Down all the time and I've not had a single glitch yet. This is how ISP's should operate. Super Happy.

I was encouraged to make an appointment by a friend and I was glad I did. Although the location was not super busy on a Sunday, there was a constant flow of people. The reservation process was easy to complete online. Once in store, I was helped within a couple of minutes. My original issue of adjusting things within my plan was easily done. I had a very hard time hearing the associate I was working with since all associates work from the same counter, so you are very close to other customers and their conversations with the small counter. Basically what I found is that associates in the store can help out with the bare minimum and going into the store is reserved mostly for returning equipment. While I was able to get a few adjustments to my plan as aforementioned, anything the associate could not do or didn't know how to do was pushed back onto me calling Xfinity customer service - which is anything but. The store itself has a nice display of their products and the store is well organized and clean. The company itself is what is frustrating.

We have been customers with Xfinity / Comcast for 2 years, mainly because there were limited…read moreoptions available in our area and we liked the idea of combining our mobile and internet services for convenience. Unfortunately, what we hoped would make life easier has turned into an ongoing nightmare. We specifically chose the highest and fastest internet package available because I work remotely from home full-time for a law firm, and we also have multiple gamers in the house with anywhere from 10-15 devices connected regularly. Despite paying for premium service, our internet has been terrible. Using more than one device at a time slows everything down. I've experienced lag during Zoom meetings with my manager while working, and my husband and son are constantly being kicked out of games because of connection issues. At times, the speed honestly feels like 1984 dial-up internet. Over the last several months, they have sent out 3 technicians trying to fix the issue. They swapped and "upgraded" the modem, and even dug up and replaced the lines from our house to the box on our fence, yet the problems still continue. What made things even worse was one of the technician visits. The technician knew we had a dog but negligently left our gate unlocked after accessing the yard. Our AKC registered champion English Bulldog got out and was attacked by a German Shepherd. Both dogs were injured and required emergency weekend vet visits. Since the attack, my bulldog has not been the same and clearly seems traumatized by the experience. The supervising technician said the employee underneath him was new and an independent contractor, but locking a gate behind you is common sense, especially when you know there is a dog in the home. That could have just as easily been a child getting out. To their credit, they did personally come apologize, but that does not undo the trauma caused to our dog. Most recently, we relocated and transferred our services. Somehow they completely messed up our account and split it into two separate accounts. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with customer service just trying to get them merged back together. During that process, they also downgraded me from Platinum member status to Gold status for no reason whatsoever. Because of that downgrade, I lost my Peacock subscription that was included with Platinum membership benefits. They submitted a "ticket" to supposedly fix it, but after everything else we've dealt with, I have very little confidence it will actually be corrected. After years of issues, it honestly feels like we've been punished for staying loyal customers. Now that we live in an area with more provider options, we will absolutely be switching both our internet and mobile services elsewhere. Between the poor internet quality, constant unresolved issues, account problems, and the negligence involving our dog, this has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I have ever dealt with.

StreamWise Solutions - outdoor TV antenna

    StreamWise Solutions

    (40 reviews)

Five stars for StreamWise Solutions, and special recognition for Juan…read more I originally contacted StreamWise to install an outdoor OTA antenna for our home. I've been using OTA television for about 13 years and currently have five TVs, each with its own indoor antenna. That setup worked, but I wanted to finally move to a properly installed outdoor antenna that could serve the entire house. StreamWise absolutely delivered on that. The reception from the new outdoor antenna is outstanding. Channels that could be inconsistent with the indoor antennas are now coming in extremely well, and having one properly installed antenna serving the house is a much cleaner and better solution. But surprisingly, the OTA installation may not even be the most valuable thing StreamWise did for me. Our house already had RJ45/Ethernet connections installed in multiple rooms, but they were useless because the wiring and central panel was not complete / bad. I wanted to take advantage of those connections for years because I prefer hardwired internet for stationary devices rather than having everything competing over Wi-Fi. Juanito took the time to look at the existing wiring, understand what had been done in the house, troubleshoot the panel, and get the Ethernet connections functioning. And he explained the setup so I actually understand how to manage it going forward. That is the real game changer for me. We're a family of four with a lot of connected devices, multiple TVs, streaming, security cameras, and everything else on three floors! Until now, most of that depended heavily on Wi-Fi. With the existing Ethernet infrastructure finally working, I can hardwire TVs and other high-use stationary devices (work laptop) throughout the house and reserve Wi-Fi for the devices that actually need it. That should allow me to get much more out of the internet connection I already have rather than simply paying for increasingly higher bandwidth. It also gives me the flexibility to consider lower-cost internet plans and other ISPs because the home network itself is no longer the bottleneck. That is what impressed me most about Juanito. He didn't simply show up, install the antenna I requested and leave. He recognized another problem that was important to me, took the time to work through it, fixed it, and then helped me understand the solution. That kind of service is worth calling out. So if you're considering StreamWise for an OTA antenna, I can absolutely recommend them. The antenna installation and reception have been excellent. But in my case, getting the wired network throughout my house working properly may end up being even more valuable over the long term. This is not inexpensive work especially all the things I needed help with like my RJ45 fix so I spent the money to do it right. I expect my ROI to take a few years, if not in one year if I can get the right ISP and affordable plan soon. In short, excellent work by StreamWise and especially Juanito. This was one of those service calls where I ended up getting considerably more value than I expected. Highly recommended. p.s. once I get the new internet, start seeing the savings plan to look at other options as needed. A mesh system to increase any bandwidth dead spots, I find and possibly the Tablo concept. Most likely will give Streamwise that business. I need them to stick around.

For about the past 10 years I have been buying 2 internet connections to my home - rise and viasat. The issue i had with both was reliability, so I basically had one to back up the other. I think about a year and half ago Rise did some major upgrades on their tower. Since then the reliability has been extremely good, and I generally get the bandwidth I pay for and sometimes a bit more. I work from home and i monitor my usage closely. As Rise continued to provide reliable service I found the viasat bill more and more difficult to stomach - their reliability was still low - and I rarely got what i paid for. So Rise's increased performance has allowed me to have Viasat disconnected and a second Rise line added to my home for backup purposes and I'm saving money. I'm not protected against their tower going down - but it has been a long time since that happened, and yes, I am knocking on wood. Additionally, I have a difficult install . The Installer has been great, gets things done, and doesn't mind thinking outside the box. So a pleasant update for Rise - They have made great strides, I sure hope they keep it up.

He didn't realize it until the next day, when the transaction was processed. They kept the money, despite our bill being something like $50 and always paid on time. This constitutes civil theft. We spent countless hours trying to get it back by calling them and getting a continuous denial and run-around. Finally we gave up because the retainer for a lawyer was the same as the amount lost - $10K. I tried to report it to the BBB - but they refused to post my review, probably because Rise Broadband denied taking the money. So now I don't trust BBB at all either. I called BBB about this and they did not reply.

When I arrived, they had no such cable or capability, and instead began Googling on their personal phone to figure out what to do. They could not help me. Out of frustration, I went to the Apple Store at Park Meadows Mall. To my surprise, they were able to transfer all my data in just 25 minutes. Problem solved!
