I have had nothing but issues with Ting for over six months. I will have about a week and a half to two weeks where my internet is fine. Then on a random day I'll have a lag spike and it will start showing I'm in Ghana. I live in frickin Colorado. I have to call and wait 45 minutes to an hour for someone if they answer at all. service worked great. Customer service is horrible, everything is weird, no app, account through the web weird, install from beginning to end, weird. No communication from anyone, you just kinda get it when you get it. My fiber was cut from construction at my next door neighbors when they had to dig up their main plumbing line, problem was it just fed my house and then plant ended. Calling for a service call was odd, finally got an appt time a full 7 days later. Sorry I work from home so not gonna fly. Had to go back to Xfinity. I called ting to cancel and I also told him to cancel the service call. Well they still came out on a disconnected account.....the tech said dang I can't fix that!!! I said I don't care I don't even have service, he said oh ok sorry and have a good day. So their fiber is still cut....yea the service is great until you have a problem and then all bets are off. Well Ting finally installed my service after a month delay and many calls and texts. I finally called Greenwood Village as they continued to blame it on the subcontractor that the City had them hire. The service after that working on the routers was excellent. Ting sent many different technicians. Unfortunately their routers are not great for my home, but they certainly gave me a lot of attention and there is the 1Gigabyte clearly in the room where they installed the service. read more

I ordered internet on Aug 6, was given an installation appointment on Aug 25. Two weeks seems excessive, but whatever. The guy comes to install it and says it will be another two weeks before the construction crew can run the line from the street to the house, about 30'. I called on September 4 to get an ETA for the completion of installation and was the rep told me he had no idea. Its now September 12 and I have no clue if the installation will ever be finished, or if I will ever get service. I have never written an online review but we have experienced pretty awful customer service with Ting this morning. Our internet has been down for a couple of hours, which is frustrating as we both work from home. We have tried to call customer support 3 times and have spent over an hour on hold, been provided 3 different phone numbers (never internally transferred). The online chat representative went through 20 minutes of verifying our account, then told us that they couldn't help. This is the first time our service has went down since we got Ting. So for the last couple weeks now I've been testing my newly installed Ting Internet. All I can say is wow. Great work. From the first email about my install as a pre-order customer I've had the same person call me on the phone and email me. They were honest and accurate up front, through install, and on follow up to make sure things went great. Jose A. has been my POC for everything Ting to date. On my outdoor install they did a great job taking care of my lawn and even sticking around with me to test my irrigation to make sure nothing was damaged. On the inside install Leroy did an great job and was super professional. The supervisor even stopped by just to make sure things were going the way they should. I felt as if I actually mattered and wasn't a number like i'd be with comcast or century link. My speeds are just a 1GB up and Down all the time and I've not had a single glitch yet. Didn't work out for me. I have had Ting for over a year at 1gig up/down. Worked great for the first 12 months or so, then the speeds dropped; lots of buffering and keeps dropping video calls. We generally only run one device at a time. Called their customer service, and a tech downloaded new software into my router and said I would be fine. Has not improved. I work from home and can't really sustain a video call anymore. Also, service was great in the first 6 months, but now it is almost impossible to talk to anyone about a problem you might have. Absolutely HORRIBLE (and non-existent) customer service! I had my modem installed over 2 weeks ago on a Saturday. The tech said someone would be out to dig the line on Monday so that I can actually use it. Over 2 weeks later, no one has been out and I've had ZERO communication from Ting! I've been on hold both on the phone and via chat for well over an hour listening to maddening hold music and constant automated chats saying "We're sorry you're waiting...". The phone hold gives you an option to be called back. I made the mistake of doing this once. When someone called me back, there was no one on the other end. After saying "hello" about 10 times, the call dropped. This is absolutely ridiculous. If this is what it's like to deal with them during an outage, I think I will avoid going through with this. Congrats on my first angry Yelp review, Ting. Was actually considering becoming a customer. Was excited to see them in the area, until the install in my neighborhood. No oversight and no care given about the whatever cable laying company they contract with... the errors they make and the havoc the wreak, knocking out existing internet services, with no communicative foreman in sight and no help from the "construction experience" team. It would seem to me that if your team is slowly moving along a neighborhood, cutting permanently into blacktop, digging up and messing with junctions in every yard literally next to existing service lines, there would be some sort of concern over NOT cutting out service; and some protocol if there is an interruption, particularly when multiple neighbors over multiple days are alerting you. Beyond frustrating. No contact, no help, and four days of interrupted service. My provider has come along to patch the work thankfully. read more

I have been on the phone for over an hour with 4 different phone numbers. I checked my Ring cameras when I came home I saw that a Ting employee had trespassed on my property. They marked the road and then walked 20 plus feet into my property. My easement is 4 feet. They did this twice. I have not nor will I utilize Ting. Install- professional Quality- the best, Service - the best, Value-the best Until you have 2 Gig Ting glass fiber internet you don't understand how much of your time and money you were wasting with far more expensive Xfinity 2 gig data service. Why Ting 2 gig is so much faster than Xfinity 2 gig, I don't know. Ting install rep ran 2 gig fiber into my house, plugged it into my existing wifi router., that quick and simple. All my connected devices worked better, faster. Wifi security cameras now able to upload the last second of view before electricity cut ( burglars do this) which shows the burglar up close, approaching camera. Comcast 2 gig upload so slow, often the last few seconds could not get uploaded fast enough, burglary image would be lost if burglar cut the wire, stole the camera. Received 4 truly unlimited data ( no slow down) Ting mobile lines for $10 as part of package. I tried Comcast's mobile, horrible, grief, terminated it. Ting internet and mobile best service ever. I'll never become a ting customer after seeing how they treated our neighborhood. Currently we already have fiber internet in our area (our service with Century Link is great) and ting decided they needed to install there own lines into our neighborhood and charge more than I pay for the same service that already exists. So they tore up yards, sidewalks and streets to do it. I'm not there customer and never will be, but now this is what my driveway looks like because of their install on my street. well they have expanded their hours by quite a bit and even offer weekend appointments I was lucky enough to go online yesterday place my order and receive a call back from someone to schedule an appointment. I was able to snag one for the next day at 4:30 and they should be able to get all the inside work done. The outside work is a little involved since they have to dig they need to call the company to come out and mark any buried utilities then they can schedule the actual installation of the conduit that they place the fiber inside. They are saying 3 weeks right now which is fine with me. Comcast tried the old bait and switch with me and that was the last straw I am looking forward to fast speeds both up and down with no cap. I am doing a lot of work that involves large file transfers. According to the Comcast web site as long as you keep using your email it will stay live even if you drop the service I plan on getting all my accounts moved off of Comcast as soon as I can now so hopefully it will not be an issue for me. read more

This is a great build-out in Centennial. That said, there's one huge caveat. DON'T use their rental routers (Zyxel EMG6726-B10A), especially if you want to use parental controls (for all those parents of teenagers or kids still in college). If the router reports a connection as "secure, no internet", disable the parental controls & things are working properly again for me. An Eero Pro 6 or similar quality router does a far better job of keeping parental control settings simple & working. Ting fiber itself should pleasantly amaze you. Wireless PCIe on our desktop will cruise at 650 Mbps up & download speed (speedtest.net confirms) That's using an ASUS PCE AX-3000 (using WPA3 technology). Our Moto G7 phone is about 105 Mbps download speed. And on the wire, whew! Near 950 Mbps download & about 650 Mbps upload speed. Testing the later piece of data using latest Dell laptop 7420 has upload speed near 950 Mbps as well. Prepare for support hold times near 1/2 hour (unless you are a very early morning owl.) read more

They started tearing up our streets, putting in conduit to house the fiber optics but that was the first week in Feb. They are still here April 10th claiming they missed a spot and would have to drill another 100 feet to place more boxes. It's been a complete nightmare. read more

I had Ting installed a while back. I have no complaints about the performance but the customer service is awful. They told me I could get $89 a month and $100 gift card. I never received the gift card and I'm getting charged $100 a month. I called the sales line to talk to someone for the second time now and I was on hold for 45 minutes. I wouldn't recommend switching unless you're absolutely sure that you are good with the price and then you hopefully don't have issues. read more

I cannot tell you how awful Ting customer service is. Complete garbage. Choose another company. You can never speak to a person and their system is automated and has absolutely no way to interact. Sit on hold for hours and then get told to leave a voicemail. Comcast now offers gigabit internet at a competitive price everywhere ting is. And, as a former comcast customer who thought the comcast customer service was garbage, they are WAY BETTER than ting. My bank changed in October, at which time I updated the auto pay card on my account. Then, I assumed the payments were being processed as I never got a notice that there was anything wrong with the payments. I logged into my account quite a few times and verified that it showed $0 balance due after my normal pay date - which it did. Then on Tuesday, May 4th, out of the blue, I get a 'you have a $600+ balance due on your account. You can imagine that I was surprised. I logged into the account, and it showed no balance due. I checked the card and it was current. Then, I searched through the account and finally found that a balance was due under the 'account settings' area. Not in the billing area. What the heck? I proceeded to call ting and sat on hold for over an hour only to learn their customer service wasn't available after 1pm. Amazing. I sent an email to help@ting.com and asked them how we could sort this out as at the current time I cannot afford to pay the entire overdue sum, as their system had not been charging my card appropriately. No response the next day. Crickets. Then all of a sudden there's a charge coming through my bank account for the full amount. Suddenly my card works fine? Or maybe their system is completely f'd up. I got an email last night saying 'thanks for paying your bill'. Yeah, then I email again and try and call with no response or acknowledgement. I am so incredibly disappointed in this company I cannot describe it in words. Heed the negative reviews and stay away. We have had Ting internet for a few years now. The internet service has been fine during this time. When we first joined, the support was readily available and Ting was easy to contact. We recently had a need to contact Ting. I could not log into my account as my Authenticator app was wiped when I changed phones so I could not log into my account. Tried several times to call the support line only to get hung up on. Finally tried chat and got sent to support who never responded to chat. I now have no way to contact Ting. I guess it's time to move on since the service has gotten really bad. I could not imagine how bad the service would be if I had an outage and no way to contact them. read more

I have been on Ting fiber internet since 4/2022 and it's much better in comparison to Comcast Gigabit service (yes I had Gigabit service with Comcast before switched to Ting). Speed via ethernet cable is 950Mbps down and 960 Mpbs up. Wireless is above 550 Mbps down and 600 Mbps up. No more worry about data cap and negotiate pricing every year. No service issue neither. This is a dishonest company with no respect for their word or their customers. Do not use their services. We called to have Ting Internet installed about a month before we were going to move into a new house. They came by to do a pre-installation check and told us that the full installation would be done on June 25. On June 25 we called and found out that they had forgotten to schedule the installation. The original technician acknowledged his mistake and apologized. This is annoying, but mistakes happen. No big deal. An honest company works to fix their mistakes. Instead, we got transferred to the manager, Ann Howard, who just gave us a big steaming pile of bullshit. She refused to acknowledge that any mistake had been made on their end, although their tech had already admitted it. She kept acting like she was doing us a huge favor for scheduling us on the next available date, which was ten days away. She offered nothing to fix the problem that they themselves had created. I work from home, and rely on internet. I can't take ten days off from work. I can't go work from a coffee shop during the pandemic. I don't know what I'm going to do. They screwed up, they lied about it, they did nothing to fix it, and they left us in a really bad place. One more thing -- I asked to speak to Ann Howard's manager, Michelle Maybe. Ann got her on the phone and instead of helping solve the problem, she told Ann that she was "on vacation" (this was Friday afternoon) and didn't want to deal with it. Thanks a lot, Ting. read more

Perhaps you should check references for a company that is a drilling company. First - that company has left a mess up and down the sidewalks and streets. Next - that company you hired to put in that orange tube has knocked out the Comcast Internet for about 70 of my neighbors in which Xfinity spent over 12 hours working to clean up and fix. The long wait is finally over...had them installed in October and it's night and day versus Comcast. I get 950s down and 960s up hardwired, and I'm in the 500-600s on my WiFi 6 router. No data caps is legit too. I haven't had ANY (knock on wood) Disconnections or modem resets required whereas Comcast required at least 3/week or more. Speed doesn't slow during peak times. When you call Ting, you actually talk to a human being without having to navigate the maze of Prompts or voice recognition too. Only gripe is I have AT&T TV Now and they (and a few other random places) see my IP address as coming from Canada so I can't use it unless i VPN in. Ting is aware and they are working on it. Couldn't be happier with the service and price in the month + I've had it. It's insane to me that anyone would give a 1 star rating... read more

I have super fast Internet, I won't say who so people don't accuse me of being on the payroll (like I'm accusing the positive reviewers above), but given the BS these people have been feeding us for years, who would think their tech support would be any better in a pinch? I'm getting 360 MBPS with my current provider and have only rebooted the modem 4 times in 2 years after dumping DSL which crashed a few times a week. Finally got Ting Fiber in Centennial at the beginning of April 2021. When it's working it's pretty good. The problem is that there have been frequent service issues to the point that we have had to keep our previous provider to ensure that we have internet access for work. If there isn't improvement in the reliability we will be canceling. read more

Outstanding service and outstanding company (no, I don't work for Ting but I have worked in the technical field for over 16 years ). I signed up with Ting when they first announced they were coming to my neighborhood. It took about a year to get the fiber run and get the connection to my home. I often work from home and we stream a lot of HD movies. There has been absolutely no issues!! In the two or three years that I've had Ting, the service has only gone out two or three times (twice during the day and once in the middle of the night). The daytime outages were caused by someone digging where they shouldn't have been and the other was a hardware issue in Ting's data center (hey, it happens. I am well versed with hardware issues). I didn't even know about the nighttime outage until the next morning when I saw an email from Ting alerting me of the outage. In all three cases, Ting credited my next month's bill for $25 (for each outage), without me even calling them or asking or asking for one!!! Mind you, I'm only paying $89 a month!! I just tested my speed and currently, I am at 943.25 mbps upload and 643 mbps download!! I was previously paying Comcast over $100 a month for 150 mbps and I had to call them to negotiate the price every year! I've been paying Ting the same price since I started getting service from them!! I've only had to reboot my router twice since I started with Ting but I tend to believe that was caused more by a series of power outages in my neighborhood than by Ting. Their customer service has always been friendly and they have always been very helpful when I've called to update my account info. Tonight another fiber company's salesman came to my door and tried to get me to switch, saying they could beat Ting's price. In this day, good customer service goes a very long way so to me, it's much more than just the price!
