I grabbed the steak house with bacon, can't remember what the wife got, and the kids burgers is huge! My wife ordered the chocolate cake shake before the meal came out, her and the kids devoured it, best shake she's had in a while! Gonna try the green beans and rosemary infused bacon next time.

We sat outside on the patio, which was nice because it was hot, but still enjoyable since they had the spritzers on. You MUST try the candied bacon, it's so delicious. My friend tried it for the first time and she was in absolute heaven. Cant remember which burger we got but it was delicious. They are more unique. If you want just a plain burger, this is not the place to go. The fries were also super delicious, but you will need to order it as a side. I recommend sharing and trying out a bit of everything. And don't forget to have a shake! They look small but there is always an addition that makes them even bigger. The outdoor patio has a nice view of the little pond as well. If you got an appetite and craving a burger and a shake, check out Sid's!

We had a…read moreshorter drive to Lewiston the 3rd day so we decided to check out downtown Boise and have lunch before we left. Using Yelp, we found Matlack's Public House Beergarten and liked the look of their sandwiches. We arrived 15min before they opened and wandered around a bit before heading back. The hostess/waitress took us in and thanked us for coming back (she must have watched us try to get in earlier). We got to pick our table in the dining area. The interior is smaller but very clean and classy. The only thing I didn't like were the chairs as they were benches and stools with no back support. I ordered the Santa Maria Tri-tip sandwich and an iced tea. My son also got the same sandwich. Their sandwiches all come with Fritos unless you're looking to spend more for a salad, mac & cheese or chili. This was the best sandwich I've had in years! The baguette had a little crunch on the outside but soft on the inside. The tri-tip was hickory and apple smoked and was tender and delicious. The chimichurri was a perfect accompaniment, as were the roasted poblano peppers. I also enjoyed the Fritos as the side. We also received top-notch service from the waitress. You could tell this place puts a lot of love and effort into their food and service. Thanks Matlack's for a great meal before our next leg of our journey!

We were staying across the street and decided to check this place out - checked out their menu…read moreonline and saw Mac n Cheese and I LOVE a good mac & cheese so went in hoping that they didn't have egg in their macaroni. Good news, THEY DIDN'T! Pub-type atmosphere, lots of beer on tap. I can't remember which I ordered, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the Mac n Cheese without the breadcrumbs and the hubs ordered it and added bacon. It was creamy and yummy. I ended out taking some of my back to the room. It reheated well, so made for an excellent midnight(ish) snack! The place wasn't too busy when we were there, the bartender was also our waiter. He was polite and helpful. The table/chairs were clean and people looked like locals (which is always comforting when you randomly pick a spot). There's indoor and outdoor seating. I didn't see a lot of parking. I hear it's a busy place on Friday and Saturday evenings. We were pleased with our restaurant choice that afternoon. Thank you for reading my review!

She managed this big group without delay and with a positive attitude. Any appetizers here are epic and worth every penny. I recommend the steak chip nachos and jumbo wings. Ranch is homemade and delicious. Entrees like the fish n chips were delicious. The drunkin dip was hearty and full of massive flavor. The craft beer here is fantastic. The number 1 flight is enormous with 10 glasses of samples. Yum! We loved it here, and Shelby did a great job caring for us. Great job 10 Barrel!

I visited 10 Barrel Brewing recently with my fiancé, and while there were some high points…read moreregarding the flavors and service, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. To start, I tried the Pickletini. As a fan of pickle-forward drinks, I found it "not bad"--a solid choice if you enjoy that briny profile. My fiancé opted for the All Ways Down Double IPA flight. At 9% ABV, it was a heavy hitter, but he really enjoyed the intense hop aroma and flavor provided by the Cryo Hops. For my main, I ordered the TNT Sando (Tri-Tip with bacon jam and garlic aioli) on Gaston's grilled focaccia. I requested it without pickles, and it was excellent. I paired it with the Black Bean and Veggie soup, which was a standout--perfectly delicious with a nice "zing" to it. Unfortunately, the meal hit a significant snag with my fiancé's Fish & Chips. The beer and cornmeal tempura batter was extremely thick (nearly 3/4 of an inch in some spots) and the fish was overcooked. Additionally, the blue cheese dressing on his side salad was very runny and tasted off. It was disappointing enough that we had to send it back. We replaced it with The Spicy Italian pizza. This was a total 180--it arrived looking beautiful, and the combination of the meats, pepperoncinis, and hot honey was absolutely delicious. Our server, Casey P., was generally good and attentive, though we did have to wait to start our meal because we weren't initially provided with napkins or silverware. A minor note on the atmosphere: the table we were seated at had "gay" carved into the wood, which felt a bit out of place for the professional vibe of the rest of the establishment. Overall, the TNT Sando, the pizza, and the beers are worth coming back for, but the kitchen consistency on the fried items definitely needs some work.

I hope her life is full of happiness and rainbows. We visited her on a Sunday after attending a magic show. (The magic table at the Morrison center. Great show. Magical Michael and the Ginger Witch were top class.) The show was magic. Literally. But the experience at double tap was magical. I've never been so pleased with food and stories at the same time. (Other than Cheetahs in Atlanta.) If you're in Boise and you don't go to Double Tap, you need to seek mental help. It's everything you want it to be and more. (Even tho I watched England lose to France here in 2022.) Long story long, check Emmy's schedule and get your butt to Double Tap! Also the fries are legit AF. And they singe the edges of the burger buns. Everywhere should do that.

There was nobody in there when we arrived, the staff made sure our group was well taken care of - adjusting the TVs and making sure our drinks were never empty. The food was amazing - they ran out of fries, so we had to wait while the CUT some more up ... so good! If you're in Boise and want to go to a great sports bar off the beaten path - I cannot recommend this place any more highly. Thanks for a great time!
