    Curry puff
    Winnie L.

Came here for a quick caffeine break and snacks before school pick up. The Thai tea was nicely chilled, bold and super flavorful. Not too sweet and definitely NOT watered down like you may find in other places. The curry puffs were so tasty and flavorful. It was very nostalgic in some way, as was the decor of this cute restaurant. The egg rolls were perfectly fried, crispy and flakey with each bite. Though I would have preferred some protein inside. Not sure if there was another option, as I didn't order. Service was quick and efficient. Place was clean Will definitely be back to try their other noodle dishes and more when I have more time and back in the area again

I almost missed lunch and didn't have a lot of time so I ordered from the curry in a hurry lunch menu. You pay at the counter and they bring it to the table. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was great it hit the spot.

Came in and was told to go only. There were 2 guest sitting inside but I guess they were ending/switching shifts. Time was close to 3p I ordered to go of the coconut soup and dumplings, I asked for water while we wait but she said they sell bottle. I said no and didn't add a tip. The lady that took our order, took a pitcher of water and poured water for the 2 guests that were already seated. They have a lot of signs that say if they want to refuse service they can. Coconut soup tastes more watery/soupy not like creamy like most Thai places I get the coconut soup at. The price is reasonable and would have been so great if the soup was more creamy. It was my first and probably it will be my last time here. I did want to try another dish but who knows if I'll make it back this way. I took the girls out to lost world close by and wanted to stop by here to eat.

Cute interior decor. Service was quick, my wife and I were the only ones to dine inside. The lady was so friendly. Skirt steak was like BBQ. Sweet and had a side of chili sauce. The curry was very creamy and had an even amount of chicken and vegetables. The crab fried rice had lots of crab and paired well with the curry. I would come back. Too bad they close at 7PM and no weekends. Be aware of the 18% service charge.

Turned up here with a few of my work colleagues. For lunch hour it's pay at the front desk as soon as you come in. Didn't have to wait for the food too long. For my dish - Gra Prow Kai Dow **Spicy - without egg - minced chicken could have been a little tastier but all in all was ok - clean plates all round - so it's a good pass for this establishment . Would definitely come back.

This was a fantastic dining experience. I was expecting a run of the mill Thai restaurant and Tin Thai was so much more. I ordered an iced tea and a spicy beef. The tea was sweet and savory. The beef was fantastic! The heat was the perfect level where it doesn't cover up the great flavor! The beef was juicy and tender too. The veggies were all crisp and fresh. Great food, great service!

    Payment history

I have been going here for about 3 years and the food is always consistently good, however the service leaves much to be desired. They use to automatically charge an 18% "service charge" which they dropped about a year ago. The lady who is always at the front taking orders (who I assume is the owner) would always make it point to say "we don't charge the tip anymore" and made sure I saw the buttons to add an additional tip if I wanted. Today she told me the same thing, I selected no tip, tapped my card to pay and it said "transaction canceled" on the screen. She then pulled up the order again and told me you can select the tip here. Once again, I put no tip and the transaction was canceled and she said the same thing. 3rd time it finally processed and she said I could leave a tip on the table. Incredibly pushy and annoying. This is a great way to lose customers, I certainly will not be returning after this experience. The idea of expecting a tip from someone that walks in and has to order at a counter without being served or even seeing their food first is crazy to me.

    Shrimp pad Thai
    Rudrasis C.

In my opinion, one of the best Thai places in Livermore. Read on for more details. I have ordered shrimp pad Thai and it was really yummy. First of all, the quantity is huge. The noodles itself drenched with Thai sauce and taste good by itself. I got around 4 large shrimps, well cooked and flavorful. Additionally, there were egg bits, tofu and green onions. There were crushed peanuts on the side like a traditional pad Thai. Overall, a very tasty dish. The place is very crowded and the service was fast. The ambiance gives the vibe of a roadside Thai food truck. I will definitely visit again and looking forward to try other dishes.

    Yellow Chicken Curry

Genuinely good quality Thai! Portions were appropriate, felt it was easy to eat in one sitting but didn't leave anyone at the table still hungry. The woman at the counter is also REALLY sweet- it was a super slow night so she served our food directly to table and went out of her way to help our table. Restaurant was nicely decorated, loved the plants (and snapped a photo of a sign we all got a kick out of). Felt it was the smallest bit more expensive than I'm used to (I'm used to curry coming with rice, but this time it was an add-on), but in my opinion was worth it for the quality. We'll be back! :)

    Crispy Tofu ($8)
    Uday M.

Came here for a quick lunch and the service was indeed expedient. The crispy tofu ($8) was closer to firm than crispy and could have used more of the sauce, although the flavor that was present was nice. The pumpkin curry ($15 seasonal special) was passable but nothing more. Perhaps a small nitpick, but it would be nice to have the curry served in a bowl instead of a plate, making it easier to get spoonfuls of the broth combined with the vegetables. They do offer to make any of their curries vegetarian, so perhaps a return trip to taste one of their menu staples might yield better results.

Pad kee mo (drunken chicken noodle ) was amazing and spicy with extra tofu Very quick service and good service

    Chicken drunken noodles (15 bucks)

Best Thai food I have had in the Bay Area by far. I have had many thai places and this one is by far my most favorite!!! I am always a big fan on their chicken drunken noodles and Panang Beef Curry with rice. They have so much flavor in them!!! However this time I only got the chicken drunken noodles and the total came out to 16 bucks with tax (togo). I did come around 3pm to pick up the food and it took about 15 mins after I called to be ready. They did have a sign that said togo only untill 4pm. I think after lunch time, they are only open for togo orders and open up for a bit after for dinner time. I also wish they were open on the weekends and open later than 7pm. I would definetley come for dinner time on the weekends. I will say this place is pretty small and is not a super huge resturant. They do have outdoor seating if preffered. The place is located in a small plaza next to a gas station and is close to the freeway exit. Overall, I highly recommend this place. The Staff is super nice and I can always count on them to have great food!

Every bite delivers a comforting warmth, the kind that reminds you why dumplings are such a timeless, beloved dish. Whether dipped lightly into sauce or enjoyed on their own, they stand confidently as a highlight of the menu. What truly elevates these dumplings is the attention to detail. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the patience behind their preparation. They aren't rushed or mass-produced; they feel handmade, thoughtful, and authentic. The texture contrast between the soft wrapper and the flavorful filling creates a satisfying bite that keeps you reaching for "just one more." I love the veggies combination with the light green curry sauce, but the battered for the calamari was not good. The Thai tea without ice was wayyyyyyy too sweet for me. The Star Anise fried rice with duck was good. Glad that I ordered this since I seldom find fried rice with duck meat at other Thai restaurants. The seafood claypot was tasty. I wish the portion can be a little bigger though. Overall, it was a good dining experience. I will come back to try other dishes on their menu when I am in the neighborhood next time.

Customer service was friendly and attentive, and the menu options were pretty good and extensive. Now for the food, we ordered the fresh rolls as an appetizer along with the special prawn dish, spicy eggplant with tofu, and basil fried rice. The fresh rolls were tasty and had a good amount of veggies, I especially enjoyed the peanut dipping sauce as it paired well with the appetizer. The special prawn dish was okay, I felt it was a bit bland, and didn't have a good variety of vegetables. It tasted alright with rice but I was hoping for more flavor. The spicy eggplant was quite disappointing and didn't have any spice at all. It was nothing to rave about and I did not enjoy eating it. The basil fried rice was possibly one of the better dishes, but overall our meal was very underwhelming. While customer service was pleasant and satisfactory, I will say portions of each dish was good and we had leftovers. However, the meal was not very good, and I was hoping for more flavor. I was surprised that we were not asked about spice level when ordering our food, as that may have helped a bit with the overall flavor or quality of the food. I generally enjoy eating Thai food and this dining experience was not the best unfortunately. I was hoping the entrees would be more tasty. Sadly, I am not sure if Lemongrass Thai is worth visiting.
