I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5

When I was served my to go order, the woman behind the counter asked me if I wanted lemon pepper. I was surprised and asked what she meant by that and she pulled out a spice shaker. I said to myself, this must be a thing here, let me try it. She sprinkled lemon pepper over everything. When I got home and tasted the food, I immediately regretted my decision to satisfy my fried fish jones at Anchor fish.

The chairs and bench seats are super comfy so if you're like our group, you're going to want to stay for a while. We kept moving around to talk with others in our group because it was like being in someone's house. The bartender and server were excellent. Nicole, our bartender, made a coffee martini that was better than what my friend expected. She realized that other bars served it wrong! I ordered Don Julio 1942 and they had it. My husband loved his pinot noir and another friend loved her fresh strawberry and mint drink so much that she ordered another! The head on my friend's beer was proper and that was nice. Everyone loved the drinks. Our server, Timiya was stealth. She took orders and even took pics for us with such quietness that the energy at our table was unbroken. Having been to the North Lauderdale location before, we wanted to see how the Davie spot compared and it delivered. My sister had no idea what to expect, but she absolutely loved it. The fried shrimp came out crispy, flavorful, and not greasy, and the sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter were such a pleasant surprise. We also tried the crawfish, shrimp, and sausage in the Mr. & Mrs. Crab special sauce packed with flavor and consistent with what I've experienced at their other locations. Portions are generous, the vibe is relaxed, and my sister is already talking about her next seafood boil. There was one small hiccup we ordered extra corn and didn't receive it with the initial meal -- but the team was very apologetic, I wasn't charged, and it all worked out. Never recognize me in curls cut too my shoulders blondie. I had the Fresh Flounder stuff with Crab and vegetables.the rice was good too. I like the spice on the rice. Al Asked me if I wanted to sit at the Bar. No not in this weird world .I once pulled into Cheesecake factory in Sawgrass . I was talking to a Toddler. Despite all the positive word of mouth I was not impressed with Tin Fish. Fish sandwich was nothing special. Clam strips were ok, but not what you would expect at a fresh seafood place and the sauce was horrible. The biggest disappointment was the cocktail sauce. I asked for an extra one for my clams, as I do at every restaurant, and was charged extra for it. Looked on the menu later after the fact and it was listed on the menu, though I didn't know beforehand b/c when you order your not looking at the menu to see if a side of sauce with your clams cost extra. Usually your not thinking your getting charged extra for extra cocktail sauce. Besides that I asked for the sauce when the clams came to the table, before I tried the sauce. The sauce taste was horrible. It was the worst cocktail sauce I've ever had. I'm not sure what they do different here, but it was not like the sauce you get anywhere else and that's not for the better. If I had tasted it before asking for another I wouldn't have even asked in the first place. It wasn't that much extra, but I feel that's a really classless move charging for an extra tiny little thing of cocktail sauce, especially when it ain't good and don't taste like cocktail sauce normally does. read more

And the sauces OMG homemade tartar sauce hot sauce and more. You will not be disappointed bring the whole family. You're going to get five star quality food at a down-to-earth Homestyle restaurant. Hats off to the chef. oh in the clam chowder and lobster bisque I promise you you will not find a more creamy and delicious soup anywhere believe me I've shopped around at different restaurants. The potatoes in the soup are soft but not mushy the claim has an excellent fresh taste in the thickness is just right. The best part is that since they shop local getting fish from South Florida filleting it right in the restaurant cooking it and serving it to you comma you never get a fishy smell or taste. I can't express how EXCITED I am about Tin Fish!!! We saw it as hot and new here on Yelp nearby and as a fish obsessed girl we were quick to try. They just had grand opening last week so very new. Okay the food! First of all, it meets all my best requirements: quick, cheap, casual and YUM!!!! they have a ton of fish options. The hush puppies were the yummiest fried pieces of bread I've ever eaten. Served with honey butter and wow just wow. My husband had the kaboom shrimp and said it was 100000x better than Bonefish's. Then i decided to go with their famous fish sandwich plate and it did not disappoint! bread was super soft, their tartar sauce is perfection and the fish was perfectly lightly fried and sooooo soft, flakey and perfect! love that they have crinkle fries - very hard to find around here! I was way too full for dessert but it looked good. The staff is soooo friendly!!! the manager said we could special order any fish we ever want, or crab anything just give him a few days notice. Unfortunately this time around was not a good experience. The whole fish made to order took 1.5 hrs to receive after ordering. The simple smoked fish dip took an hour to be served on a slow Monday night. Arrived at 6:45 pm. Departed almost 3 hours later. The owner / Chef was not on premises and all the staff had was excuses about tickets in the kitchen. They thought comping a drink and a dessert would satisfy us. We were the last to leave and had. No appetite anymore for any dessert. The manager tried to fix the problem with a gift certificate. However the damage was done. It was not worth waiting 1.5 hrs for a baked fish with no sides for $50. I could have went home and cooked it and brought it back. Nothing to rave about at all. Not returning. I was driving by and on my way into Doris, I stopped to get a Togo menu. The host Kirsten told me we were on a wait so I put my name on the list and finished up at Doris. My wife had left her pills at home, so I left her at the table and ran home real fast to get her those. While I was gone, our server, Cassandra, sat with her and spoke to her about all the specials that you all had tonight as well as kept her company while I was gone, she made us feel like family. When I got back she explained it again so that I could hear them... And bam!!! She sold us on our 2.5 lb Red snapper with the Asian sauce!! It was delicious. My wife and I ordered the hush puppies, corn bread, kaboom shrimp to start our meal off. Hush puppies and corn bread were both very good. If you like the dynamite shrimp from bonefish grill you will love the kaboom shrimp from Tin Fish.. For my entree I had the white fish and shrimp platter Amazing!!!!! Tin Fish in Sunrise has decent seafood, but the service doesn't quite match up. The fish is fresh, the portions are fair, and the flavors are solid--no complaints on the food. The service, though, felt a little off. The waitress wasn't all that welcoming and didn't seem to know the menu well, which made ordering more of a hassle than it should've been. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it definitely took away from the experience. If you're in the area and just want good seafood, it's worth a stop. I have always liked Tin Fish. It's casual, pricey and so worth it. The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. My friend and I split the day's special--Yellow Tail Snapper DEEP FRIED. We ate like vultures, even the skin. Our server, Marcy, opened the fish on each side for us. She gave us a taste of soup to try. My friend loved the soup and I had their delicious Caesar salad. We definitely ate enough and really enjoyed it. read more

This charming spot is perfect for a date night or a gathering with friends. The service is always on point, and the food arrives hot and promptly after ordering. My personal favorite is the ceviche, served with toasted pita bread--it's absolutely delicious. Pair it with a cocktail (or two), and you can't go wrong. A great place to unwind and enjoy an after work adventure! read more

This was my first time eating here and the food was delicious.. The service was so good our waitress Zayra was so friendly. Joseph the founder and chef called us back to the restaurant because we weren't sure where we were going to eat he told us to come back he was going to spoil us and he did the Sloppy Fish was amazing......we will be returning soon read more

Terrible service. Waited 15 minutes after being seated with no server and had to approach hostess for drinks. An hour and half later, we still did not have entrees and had to leave for a concert. The amazing thing is the server didn't care and no management staff could be found. We left hungry and entirely dissatisfied. I will NEVER go back. read more

The quality of the food and service is determined on if the Joe the owner is there. Case in point: Went in for dinner and there was a beautiful flounder on the ice bar. I asked if I could order it for dinner. The reply was that flounder was the lunch special. I said no big deal I'll just have it sautéed in butter, I'll pay market price for it. read more

This place is out of this world! Unbelievable food. So fresh. The ceviche is delicious. My wife had a Bloody Mary and I had the most delicious mule made with fresh ginger. Service is outstanding. I would give then 10 stars if I could. Will definitely be back. Ohhh btw, fish croquettes are deeeelicious!!! read more

The fried foods are great. The oysters were not great and way overpriced. Overall the prices were a bit high. The one thing that really stands out is the lobster roll. Worth a trip for that. But the service needs work. Otherwise it would have been 4 stars. read more

I politely asked if the seasoning could simply be left off due to an allergy, and my request was refused. Rather than accommodating a simple dietary restriction, I was told that the dish wouldn't taste the way the chef intended. While I understand wanting to preserve the intended flavor, customer health and safety should come first--especially when dealing with allergies. I find it concerning that no effort was made to accommodate a reasonable request or even ask about the severity of the allergy. In today's restaurant industry, flexibility and customer care are important. Unfortunately, I found the service to be very unaccommodating, and given the high prices, I expected much better. I will not be returning.

If you're driving a larger truck, be aware that parking is available but pretty tight. Once inside, we were warmly greeted by the host, who was incredibly friendly and escorted us to our table. Our waitress was just as wonderful--attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. There was music playing everyone there was enjoying themselves. Since it was Tuesday, we both ordered the all-you-can-eat fried catfish special for $21.99. They start you off with hush puppies and coleslaw, and when your meal arrives, you get your choice of a side. We both chose the fries. The portions were generous, with plenty of crispy fried catfish on the plate. The fish itself had great flavor, was perfectly crispy, and wasn't over-breaded. The hush puppies were delicious, and the French fries were cooked just right. My husband, who considers himself a bit of a coleslaw connoisseur, really enjoyed the coleslaw. I wasn't as impressed with it, but that's just my personal preference. My biggest disappointment was the tartar sauce. For a restaurant that's been around as long as Catfish Dewey's, I expected a homemade tartar sauce. Instead, it came in a pre-packaged container and tasted overwhelmingly of onion. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. If I were rating everything individually, I'd give the catfish a 7/10, the hush puppies an 8/10, the fries an 8/10, the coleslaw a 5/10, and the tartar sauce a 0/10. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, especially the friendly service and the crispy catfish. While it wasn't the best fried catfish we've had, it was still a good meal. As I always say, don't let my opinion make your decision. Everyone's taste is different, so go try it for yourself and form your own opinion. You might love it!

The sauce for salmon was very good. Salmon wasn't dry and tasted good. Risotto is mixed with white truffle cream and quinoa. I never had risotto with quinoa before so this was the first. It tasted good but I'm not used to it. I definitely feel a little bit healthy while eating this meal. Conchas brasa were very good. I didn't know there was an option to put cheese until I saw other reviews. Not sure if that's still an option though. Server Aria told us if we did a review, we get a complimentary flan. Flan is good. Flan is small piece of dessert on big plate. Music is a bit loud so it can be hard to hear the servers. The servers were not too bad but not the greatest. Besides the service, food is very good. Definitely recommend the food. Will come again!

Parking is at a premium here as there's a Family Dollar store and a Sedano's supermarket in the same strip. They specialize in seafood boils. On the window outside they were advertising chargrilled oysters for a $1 each. Dine in only. Woohoo. My husband and I each ordered a dozen oysters and one side of potatoes. The chargrilled oysters were great. Dowsed in garlic butter, and served hot, they actually tasted chargrilled. They came with lemon wedges and a few slices of bread to sop up the oyster flavored butter. The side of potatoes were three small red bliss potatoes that had been steamed. They were plain -- no seasoning --but that was okay as I also dipped them in the leftover garlicky butter. Two things I didn't particularly care for were 1. that they served plastic ware to eat the oysters. And 2. They automatically include a gratuity on the bill (but they said so up front). To sum up: Bottom line -- liked the oysters (especially for $1 each) but didn't like having to use the plastic forks.
