[[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached out to them on yelp projects to get estimate to replace a broken glass on a window. Staff called me and advised that they needed to send someone out to provide a bid. I found it strange as I had sent an image and provided dimensions, and had already received a few proposals thru yelp projects based on the photos.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was just a broken glass. I even provided address and asked her to google the building so she can see. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Anyways, they tried to send someone same day, however as I was not on-site, they could not go as they REQUIRED someone present even though window was in the common area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We scheduled for Monday. She even asked that I don't proceed with the other bids so they can be sure they provide us one on Monday. I agreed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I drove 1.5 hours to the appt to accommodate the tech for the estimate. 30 mins past the appt time and no one has showed up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I called and the receptionist placed me on hold to inquire with supervisor. She advised, they don't replace broken glass, they replace the entire window altogether. They have a minimum of $1000. The building is from the 1920s. We don't need the window replaced. These are the original casings from the 1920s! The building needs to still remain uniform throughout. I just needed the glass fixed. BEWARE !! This company is a SCAM. After signing a contract and paying $610 downpayment for getting windows installed, I also signed a three day cancellation policy which made me think i had three days to cancel. Contractor ( Daniel Khachaturyan ) did a really good job by having me sign that right away without saying that there were some exceptions in the back in SMALL letters. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I decided to cancel on second day and after a week of not hearing from company or contractor , i decided to call the company to get my money back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To my surprise, the agent mentioned that they couldn't reimburse me because "NUMBER 17 IN THE BACK OF THE CONTRACT STATES DOWNPAYMENT IS NON-REIMBURSABLE" The agent gave me two options. I either lose the money or i can use that money for future projects with them. I decided to lose the money as i no longer wish to do any kind of business with this company. I was going to send this directly to the company instead of putting them on blast here. When I read other people expressing similar issues and the company still hasn't changed their sales tactics, I decided here is the better place for it. I had a gentleman come out a bit over a week ago to do an estimate for a new roof estimate where solar panels needed to be removed and put back on too. There is a good size leak into the home and obviously need a new roof. First, the good things about timeless construction. They have a great product! Well made and would look amazing I'm sure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I got on the phone with them, the gentleman I talked to said I had to have both myself and my husband there at the appointment. I told him thats not possible any time soon and I'd have to call back. He said, ok it shouldn't be a problem to just have one of you then so I booked the appt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The gentleman came out, introduced himself and came in and we talked a bit about the roof and what our needs were. He spent time looking it over and came back in. Typical estimate. It took 2 hours total tho! Wheb he ame back in, he spent more time telling me about all the damage and how bad we needed a roof. It was like if i didnt get the repairs done stat, it was going to all come caving in st any moment.. I already know I need a new roof though, guy. I had also asked to get an estimate with and without our detached garage. He said well it comes down to needs vs wants. I guess you dont want my money then? [[HIGHLIGHT]]He kept asking me where my husband was too and why isnt he here like they dont communicate or something with the office. Dude, hes at work. Well call him up. Ummm hes at work? He cant take calls. I mean who cares why he cant be here? For all these people know hes in jail or buried in the yard. Its none of their business at that moment why and where he is. I can handle it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then he starts asking me about how I'm going to pay for it. I said probably a heloc loan. Then he is talking about their financing and asking me what my credit score is. I said I dont know. Like are we past the first date to be asking that? He asked again a bit later so I lied and told him its under 700. Like its any of your business what my score is right now. I haven't even picked you yet. He even asked me to look on my bank app for my score. Im like no thanks. This whole time he kept talking about some special program too that they have where they will use your home like a model home because they are trying to get more business in my area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Anyway, pushy sales tactics and trying to get both myself and my husband here so we hurry up and get excited about all the colors offered. Then sign right then before the roof caves in, doesn't work for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I finally got a quote of 38k from him after 2 hours of wasted time. I never did find out what the quote was with the "program" never got a call back or quote sent to me and he never even gave me a card either. Hmm creepy. Never did catch his name because he said it too fast. Anyway, I found another company that does the exact same roofing system just less color selection for way less than 38k. Maybe doesn't include insulation like maybe these people did? Not sure cause he was too busy telling me my roof was caving in and never sent a quote. BUT, after they removed the shingles from my mobile home, Sean, from Timeless, came to my home and informed me that to finish the job they had to replace the damaged plywood and it would cost an additional $8,460. They led me to believe that the $12,925 would be the total cost to replace my roof but now I realize they gave me a price that seemed to be reasonable just so I would not seek a 2nd or 3rd bid for the replacement of my roof. ED Plumbing Services is a total rip-off! Firstly, I called them to clear a mainline drain, and when they showed up, he said I had roots in the pipe and needed to replace it or have a liner put in to repair it. Mind you, he hadn't even done a bit of work or exploration before he made that recommendation....none...nothing.... not at all.... Little did he know, I had the lines inspected 6 months ago and there were no roots at all in the lines, and the lines were intact and clear. When I told him this, he said that he would just snake the drain then, but wouldn't guarantee the work...Secondly, he quoted $389 for a simple snaking of the mainline from a rooftop vent pipe (I don't have a cleanout). In the past, I had another rooter company clear the line from that vent pipe and it worked perfectly, and they charged me just $150. In this instance, ED said they'd reduce the quote to $250....Still overpriced, but since they were at the house, I authorized the work... The guys from ED then proceeded to attempt to get their snake onto the roof, but it was too heavy and they succeeded only in mangling my brand new gutter to the point that it has to be replaced...and they still couldn't do the job because their machine was too heavy for them to pull up. Now, mind you that I told them on the phone that we'd need to clear the drain from the roof, and that they should bring equipment for that task. But they showed up unprepared for that task, probably because he thought we'd authorize the totally unnecessary work he was recommending without doing ANY kind of inspection to our plumbing lines. ED saved the day! So get this: we were on day 2 of our hot water heater not working and ED was the third company our home warranty company sent out.
