Julio was the rep we met on the project site, he was very attentive and knowledgeable, absolutely no sales pressure like other companies. Julio took the measurements, gave us a great deal not only on the windows but also our slider doors. I am so excited I finally got my new windows and door installed. I interviewed about half a dozen companies before hiring United Windows. My main reason for choosing them is the reviews and follow-up responses on Yelp. Whenever a customer encountered an issue with the warranty, this was the only company I encountered that actually took measures on addressing whatever issues there may have been. Aside from this, everyone I encountered from United Windows was incredible. The salesperson, Allan, showed up promptly for our appointment. I gave him an estimate of how much I wanted to spend based on my other quotes. He provided me with an array of options and gave me an excellent price. I was told the installation would take about 3-4 months, however, I signed the contract on May 8th and the installation was completed on May 28th. Juan and Miguel were the installers. They are awesome. They always came exactly when promised (to do final measurements and installation). They were pleasant and professional. They removed all my old material and even cleaned up after themselves by sweeping all debris. I am so impressed by the service. Additionally, the quality and look of the windows and doors are absolutely beautiful. The mechanisms work seamlessly. Lastly, I have 7 Persian indoor cats. We own a beach front home on Topsail Island in NC. After hurricane Florence we had to replace 2 sliding patio doors. The only doors we could find were at Lowe's, they were from United. Long story short the contractor we hired did a poor job. It turns out they didn't realize they we missing some of the pieces. After a couple of return visits, they jimmy rigged the doors to work. After 5 years the rollers started to rust as does everything else on the beach. We called back that contractor to replace the rollers but he failed at replacing them. I contacted United Customer service, and they sent out, Will, one of their technicians. He not only replaced the rollers he provided the proper missing parts from the original installation. He did a fantastic professional job. Had I only gone through United in the beginning I would have saved years of frustration. I highly recommend United Window and Doors. Very bad experience with this company in trying to get an estimate/quote on replacing windows. They seem disorganized, slow in communication, and keep asking me for the same information that their sales people collected already when they came out to measure the windows. They keep dropping the ball - I have to follow up over and over again. They seem inept and lazy, unfortunately, after all of the energy I've put in to getting a simple cost quote. Several hours after writing the below update, the president of United Windows called me and left his personal cell number (Haven't been able to call back yet) Very nice message, indicating his philosophy is "The customer is King/Queen" and from the sound of his message, he is not kidding. This is extremely appreciated, and is text book customer centric above and beyond handling of an issue. Adding additional stars to my review now, and will complete these updates once service has been rendered. One of the single most important selling points for us, when we had the entire house "re-windowed", was the life time warrantee that this company offered. That is what sold us (Besides the extraordinary friendliness and helpfulness of the sales guy). We were also very impressed with the guys who came out to measure the windows a second time before installation, and the speed and neatness that the team displayed on install day. To see that United Windows takes a complaints this seriously, stands them heads and shoulders above MANY (If not all) companies that I have come into contact with in the recent past. Expect the price of contract to increase after you sign. They came back twice and asked me to pay significantly more after initial contract or they would cancel the contract. Is that even legal? How can you sign a contract and not execute to the terms? George the salesperson tells you everything you what need to hear but will not follow through and when you try to follow up after a week or two he is dealing with personal issues. I have an email confirmation that my order was sent to production and two weeks later that didn't turn out to be true. I called to check on the production after two weeks only to find out they NEVER started! They told me now they need to come out a third time to redo measurements. If you need him to explain the reason he becomes non responsive. Don't expect any customer service from their manager Jonathan. Expect Jonathan to hang up the phone on you as he is too busy and doesn't have the time to look into customer issues. I don't understand how they got such high rating. One of the worst experiences dealing with a contractor. Very disappointed. read more

Martin was our sales person for this project. Signed up in November 2020 install was supposed to be Dec but we requested to postpone until January 2021. We ordered a totally of 10 windows and 1 door. 2 of the windows had to be modified and 1 new window install. The 1 new window build was a little off. We communicated this to the vendor and it was swiftly resolved. Scheduling was fantastic. They always communicated when they'll be at my property and cleaned up after themselves. They were our first construction project during quarantine and they definitely set the bar. Our fave company until we got our doors done and then our plumbers and then our solar. So many excellent companies. We highly, highly recommend them and will definitely be using them for future projects. read more

Within minutes, I received a friendly and professional response from their team. Martin came out to measure the dimensions of our sliding glass patio door. Our sliding glass patio door is a lot larger than most, but when the final product and installation was complete, we were truly impressed. Before installation and drafting up a work order, we took a quick tour of the selection of trims and glass designs on site. They shared so much knowledge about the different materials and the history of glass patio doors. We definitely knew we could put our 100% trust in them to do a job well done! With 16 units and 25 occupants, there were a lot of people to please. United Windows manufactures their own windows... they are not only competitively priced, but Jesse & his team were always professional, timely and courteous. The installation went very smoothly. In 2017, we needed 33 windows for our 4-Plex in Mar Vista. Of course we relied on United to perform again, and we were not disappointed. Great price, quality and service. BUT... It's the after-sale service where United Windows really shined. We had a problem with a 93" X 45" custom window during the heavy rains earlier this year. They responded within 24 hours and were able to manufacture and install the new replacement window within 48 hours. Understandably, we are super satisfied... I received quotes from 6 companies and 2 for repair companies. I went with this company because they offered a lifetime warranty, offered a price match and they were easy to talk to. I needed 2 sets of patio sliding doors and Adrey came to measure initially. Once I signed a contract, Jesse came to measure again to double check the figures. They came in to install 2 weeks later. Manny and another gentleman whose name escapes me came in and completed the install in 3 hours. I'm on a second floor balcony and they were very efficient. I cleared the area and pathways in advance and everything went smoothly. I chose a heavy laminated patio door and a regular double pane door. If I had more money, I would have gone with the laminate for ally doors and windows as it decreases noise considerably more and you can really tell the difference. It's only been a week and so far I'm very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and family. read more

Again my post is regarding my experience and my experience alone. Let me clear this up by saying that day when they installed my windows i have called multiple times and the person i was intended to speak never called back. Not until the yelp review was posted. Then everyone started scrambling to reach me. Fast forward a week ago I received an email which I responded that i was out of the country for a personal issue and cannot call so the claim that i was refusing to communicate is a lie. These people are asking me to remove my post as they were claiming it's hurting their business. The first time they spoke to me they flat out told me that the reason they called was to learn from my experience not to ask me to take out my post. Imagine my surprise when all of a sudden I'm being bombarded by them to do exactly that. As a consumer I feel like people has the right to know experiences with businesses. I started my post by saying this was MY experience and experience alone. And FYI I don't need to wait to have everything finished for me to notice something is not right. It's every consumer's right to speak up if the job is not being done to their liking. I was offered by adrey a discount to please me but i even refused. I don't want any freebies or discount. He even repeated profusely that they were doing me a huge favor by removing my blinds and putting it back as if I didn't offer to pay EXTRA for the services. I have wanted to replace 2 sliders and 2 windows in my condo for several years...but lived with them since I wasn't home much....until Covid hit....having to look at the old ugly single pane aluminum sliding doors finally got to me after staring at them for a year!!! My friend had used United Windows and I have seen her windows so I knew the quality was good. I had 3 estimates... one big box home improvement store (the most expensive)-one I found here on Yelp (the WORST Rep) and United. George at United Windows came in substantially lower than the other 2...and he explained the entire process to me, telling me about their products and why they have such great prices (no middle man). Order came in quicker than I was quoted (my HOA requires bronze exterior which takes a bit longer and costs more ) Ivan and his team installed them quickly, cleaned up their mess, and were all around pleasant guys. I had one small issue with one of the sliders-and United was quick to remedy the issue as they stand behind their work and the windows are guaranteed. The customer service was 5 star from start to finish....Jennie, Michele, George, Ivan and the other installers whose names I don't recall....all were fantastic. United Windows = Patio Door Factory. I wanted to replace our existing single sliding glass door with double french doors. I found United thru Yelp reviews. I was a bit hesitant to make the change because I was afraid that french doors could easily be broken into. However, after reading many online articles, I found that they're just as safe, if not safer, than sliding doors (which have a flip up switch type lock). United carries the doors with a 3-point locking system - handle locks as well as turn-knob lock. (I also purchased a separate locking system on Amazon so the handles can't be turned to open - Patlock... see photo.) My sales guy was Martin Park - very nice and friendly. Seemed to be a pretty cut and dry deal since I knew exactly what I wanted... except the part where the doors came in on install day and they were - TOO BIG! I guess Martin measured wrong... oops. But United had them re-made asap - no charge to me - and they were installed PERFECTLY. I forgot the name of my installer but he was very professional and efficient... cute too. :) My other concern was that the windows would leave me too "exposed", since I was used to years of window blinds. Although that was always an option to install on the french doors (blinds, curtains, shades), I have to say now having my doors "wide open", that leaving them bare and making the change to french doors was the best choice I could've ever made!! United's door glass is the highest rating of UV protection and has a bit of a glare to it so it's harder to see inside during the daytime. The doors are beautiful!! The craftsmanship of the doors, the handles, the locking system, and trim all the way around are impeccable!! There was no mess, no damage to my existing door frame, and I am very happy with the results. Had 3 sliding doors installed. Over a year later after a big rainstorm water seeped in through one of the door frames. After it dried the wood moulding on the door frame turned brown and ugly. Called the company and they immediately emailed me a form to fill out requesting service. A day later I had an appointment and 2 days later they came out and fixed it and replaced the moulding. We just had new windows installed yesterday by United and are happy with the results. Initially we were told when we accepted the bid it would be 4 to 6 weeks before our order was ready and installers could come out. Instead, after about 3 weeks, I got a call our windows were ready. The installers came out at the scheduled time and in just under 3 hours we had new windows fully installed. Our two installers were knowledgeable, helpful and expert in every aspect of the installation. United's vinyl windows are no frills. They offer one style and one color. The fit and finish, however, is very nice and I think the windows look just fine. The exterior frame is maybe a little aggressive and is a "picture frame" style. On the inside, your new windows will slide and lock easily and the sliding portion can be easily removed if you choose to clean that pane without removing the screen. The double panes seem to do their job at reducing noise from our heavy traffic neighborhood. We got at least 5 different quotes from competitors before choosing United. Every quote for my 8 window home was $10k, while the big guys (the one you see on TV) wanted $27k for just 8 windows. United was recommended to me by a neighbor who used them and was happy with the result. Their bid came in at less than half the amount of their lowest competitor. If these new windows perform as I expect they will, I will come back and adjust this review as a full 5-star rating. read more
