I rarely leave negative reviews--especially for small, family-owned businesses--but after a year or so of unresolved issues, I feel it's important to share my experience. We hired this company to replace all the windows in our home, hoping to support local. The window product itself is decent, but the installation and customer service were a huge disappointment. Despite having excellent credit, we were told we didn't qualify for financing--only to later learn they never even pulled my credit. It felt misleading and pressured us into paying cash without transparency. Installation was careless. I had just completed new floors and painting. They said furniture could stay, but their minimal coverings didn't protect our home. Cutting windows from inside with saws sent glass into bedrooms, damaging freshly painted walls. The day of the install was so upsetting--glass was everywhere. I recommended a different approach to cutting that would have reduced the mess, but one of the installers told me it would "take too long." I was so frustrated I had to leave my own home just to cool off. We cleaned for hours, wiping down walls, vacuuming, and picking up shards by hand. We don't wear shoes indoors, so glass throughout the house was a major concern. Even now, after a year or so, we still find glass in the yard--dangerous for our 6-year-old. Measurements also seemed off across different windows. Some were made noticeably smaller than the openings and "filled in" with whatever trim would cover the gap, while others were handled differently, with no consistency in approach. This left the windows mismatched in appearance. Some of the outer trim--which isn't even real wood--is already warping and bending. The company also had to return to redo sloppy caulking and touch up paint around the windows after the initial install. So far, one window has an obvious mechanical issue, and others had screens or parts that were damaged during install. Despite detailed phone calls, techs came out multiple times for the wrong windows. I had to walk one through the problem over the phone before they admitted it. I was told it would be fixed, but months later, nothing. Neighbors asked who did the work--I told them I couldn't recommend this company. They were never clear in communicating exactly what we would be getting. When you hire a company for a major project like this, you expect them to explain the product and process in detail--especially since most homeowners aren't experts. That clarity was missing from the start, and it showed in the end result. If you go with them and your windows are retrofit, expect a lot of filler plastic on the inside to make up for large gaps--and expect your original window openings to be reduced in size. At final payment, we shared our experience and concerns, but there was no acknowledgment or care from them at all. read more

Following the wind storm on 1/8/25 I feel compelled to leave a review to talk about how grateful I am for the quality of windows and doors I have from vista windows. The winds picked up to 60-80mph gusts and there was debris flying everywhere. Our windows and doors didn't shake or rattle once. Further, they have done such a great job of keeping the smoke out from the crazy fires in LA & pasadena. Lastly, Vista staff are warm and friendly and efficient. We hired this company to install a second French door in January 2025, hoping it would match the first French door they installed for us years ago. Both doors are on the first floor and close to each other, so we clearly requested that the hardware--especially the door knob--match the original door. The second door installation cost us over $6,000, and together, we've spent more than $12,000 on both doors with this company. However, four months have passed now in May 2025 and the matching knob for the original door still not installed. In January, 2025, we are told that the "new knob is on the way" and subsequent response in March to this date is that they are "trying their best." In reality, no real effort has been made. We shopped around to find a reputable company and decided on Vista Window. We liked that they were certified installers for the brand we selected. They offered a great price and were helpful at the beginning. The issue began when it came time for the installation. We were having 10 windows and a patio slider completed after having brand a new re-stucco completed. I explained our availability and that we could only be home for a weekend or evening install. I was told as long as we scheduled in advance that Saturday would be no problem. I setup for Saturday, August 14, 2021 but was called to reschedule for Friday being assured that the owner Phillip would be on site. I explained we would not be comfortable with not being home for such a big project. I am glad we did not agree after the problems that arose. We kept the Saturday install and I immediately explained to the installers upon arrival that my stucco was brand new. That I would be willing to cut out the windows if needed to prevent damage. The old window fin had been cut away so the stucco could get under. This was to allow room for chipping as the new window fins would cover any issues under 2 inches. I was assured that they would take care of it. I had also brought this up with the owner when signing the contract. t was upon his advice that I did the stucco first to provide a level foundation for the windows. As you can see by my pictures the damage left after the install was excessive. To make matters worse I had them argue with me after installing a window in the incorrect location. It only took me reading the measurements on the windows to figure that out. This was evidence showing the lack of attention to detail they took. They left a cut in my wall from using to large of a saw to remove my bathroom window. One worker even left before the work was complete leaving the other 2 to finish. Phillip apologized for the issues and assured me his team would return to fix the mistakes. I provided the information for them to purchase a stucco patch to match the original. Now begins the game of chase! I never hear back from anyone until I reached out to Phillip a few weeks later asking if they had the product. He said it was ordered so I offered to pick it up since I worked near the manufacturers location in Corona. The patch kit was a very small quantity so I purchased a full bag out of my pocket to ensure they had enough product. After this, I had scheduled a repair date with Phillip. They never showed and did not bother calling to let me know. I once again reached out and they apologized. They would get back to me with a date. Weeks go by and nothing at all so I reach out again. Once again they schedule a date and are a no show! It has now been months at this point. Out of the blue a scheduler in the office calls and I again explain evenings or weekends are when I am home. She said they will call me in a couple of days with a date. Big Shock... they never call back! This is what finally leads me here. I am 3 days shy of waiting 6 MONTHS for repairs that will take less that 6 hours!! The owner held back $500 form my bill until the repair was finished and not even that was enough motivation for them to come back. After this lack of follow up and customer service I would expect the repair work to be for free. Disappointing to have a great product made ugly by poor installation. They left open gaps and broken stucco that bugs me every time I see it. In case you are not sure... I would love to be contacted to have the repairs completed! read more

We did order our windows during a pandemic so I understand the long delay wasn't fully vista windows fault it was mostly a supply chain issue BUT we ordered our windows June 2020 and the last set of windows was finally installed April 2021. One of the owners Phil had originally quoted that it would take no longer than 6 months when we ordered the windows. I understand there were a lot of supply issues with covid but the lack of communication from vista windows regarding the delay was terrible. I had to continually call twice a month for updates. They offered a slight discount but when I requested a new invoice that took several phone calls as well. Overall I'm happy with the windows just not with the customer service. read more
