They did a great job on the first screen door, and I thought, "These guys are truly Screen Masters!" However, the second door came around, and I was very disappointed. Due to the construction of the existing door frame, installers could not fit the screen door to fully close, which I am not blaming them for. This was when I needed them to fully execute their "custom" work. However, their attitudes started changing when they faced this challenge and they wanted to go home. Their arguments summed up: 1) "I installed your door - my work is done" 2) "Your door is your problem - hire a handyman" 3) "We don't even service your location" 4) "We have a busy schedule and cannot return" They kept reminding me that they don't service my location, and that that they were too busy to return, yet, Yelp showed their business in my location and they accepted my request. All I asked was for them to be more understanding and willing to work it out. I clearly told them I would be willing to wait another two weeks for their schedule to free up, yet, they really didn't want to deal with it. They told me to hire a handyman to grind it and make more space for it to close, and upon asking him how much that would cost, he said probably couple hundred bucks. To sum up my experience... in an extreme analogy. It felt like hiring a general contractor to remodel my kitchen, then the GC leaving the job because their customized cabinets and cupboards did not fit in my kitchen due to the kitchen's layout, and telling me to hire a handyman. Lastly, I just want to tell the business owner that I am not blaming you guys for my door problem. I am disappointed in the way you guys handled the situation. It would've been really nice for you guys to offer to return and fix it. I had to ask first, but all I got was excuses for why you guys can't return. On a positive note, I think Screen Masters are very good at installing doors and can install doors in most cases. I admit my door was a unique situation. read more

I had a problem with my window screens, so I gave the screen masters a call hoping to replace my screens. Joseph answered me and asked me in detail regarding my situation. Within minutes he had a simple fix for me and also educated me on what my window screen was missing. Following his advice, I was able to head to the hardware store and fix it myself easily. After dealing with multiple fails from a big box store that shall remain nameless, Yvette and her team came in and literally saved the day: not only is the installation exceptional and highly functional and aesthetically beautiful, but they are so committed to quality and transparency. Our house has an admittedly crooked frame and door jam, and they took the time to fully explain the potential challenges and solutions to get the best result; additionally, they were completely honest and informative in helping us make a screen selection (durability, popularity etc). These guys are great. They dealt with a bunch of beat-up, bent aluminum screens (most of which had at least one hole) that were on the windows when we bought the house in 1994. It was very pleasant dealing with Frank, who really knows what he's doing. The work was completed a lot faster than I thought it would be, and the screens look great. I was really debating whether I should give them 4 stars or 5 as I can be a tough reviewer at times. Part of the reason is that I think the pricing is a little bit on the high side and I probably could have gone cheaper if I used my existing contractor during his next project to do the same work. I also think their prices on screen doors are a bit high, though I'm sure on their end they would say it is because of the quality of what they are delivering. I held off on the screen doors for now, though I may end up using them in the end. I just need to do more research and repair the casing of one of the screen doors prior to anyone actually providing the door itself. Nonetheless, the reason I settled on 5 stars is because from start to finish, they were extremely professional and I was satisfied with the work. It was very easy to schedule an appointment for a quotation. That took about 30 minutes at most. I never felt rushed as if they had to get somewhere next (which they did). It was also easy to schedule the work. I had 3 workers arrive only 2 or 3 days after the quote and all of them were very friendly, very professional, easy to talk to, and ultimately they did a good job. The workers performed a total of 7 window screen replacements and repair. Out of those 7, 2 of them I was not satisfied with the fit. So they took the extra time for some rework which ultimately came out fine. The fact that they didn't argue with me above very very small openings was a plus. They remained professional the whole time. In fact, one guy apologized for sounding grouchy, but I told him being from New York his grouchiness was just a fraction of what I was used to lol. I didn't find him grouchy at all. Anyway, I would use them again and I would recommend them to others if asked. Very nice company. My only suggestion to any of you out there is that as they are walking you through the quotation, label each windows during the quote with whether the window is a repair or a replacement. Overall I was very pleased with this experience. 29 custom window screens on a 100 year old house was a challenge. The price was a bit of a shock but I think it was worth it. I reached out to Yvette on a Thursday, they came to the house unsupervised on Friday to estimate, and showed up in their van/custom screen making mobile at 10am the next morning to start work. I ordered bronze frames and Ultra Vue screens and was ensured from the get go that was the right choice for my windows even if pricier. Once they showed we asked what it would look like if we chose white frames, and they came prepared if we were to switch it, which we didn't. They were right, the bronze looked much better. Ray and Frank worked from 10am to 5pm meticulously fitting all 29 screens perfectly with no screen sag and with uniform fit throughout. All with a great attitude and patience. You could see them going back and forth from the sawing board until they got each frame perfect. Even though I paid a heavy price for this service, I won't have to think about them for a long time as they are stylish, with nearly no light loss, and look to be very sturdy.
