Sivan just replaced all my windows, front door & hardware, and patio sliding door with new energy efficient ones. I was the 4th townhome in my complex to use Sivan for this work. Barak at Sivan was able to prepare the order to match the HOA window & door standards, coordinated the site visit and measurements and kept me informed on the status of the order. The installations went very smooth and surprisingly quick. I'm very happy with the results and the value add to my home. Would highly recommend Barak and Sivan Windows & Doors!

New windows

Such a good experience getting new windows. Barak came in for an initial visit and guided us through how it will look and the different finishes that could be done. The windows were cut very quickly and the installation was within 3 hours for 7 windows. The finished product was amazing! Thank you Barak. The windows keep the cold out unlike our old windows. Great price, get service, on time!

Excellent customer service. I needed to replace all my old and worn out aluminum windows due to safety concerns living in a high wind area and Sivan company was wonderful in assisting me with helping me choose. They showed up and took care of everything. Now my new windows are energy efficient and have sound reduction so when I work the night shift and the neighborhood kids are at play, I sleep with no noise! I thank Sivan for their wonderful job and customer service. I highly recommend!

Rock cladding removed and now? You guessed it....more moola!

So...you're in the market for some new windows huh? Cool. Well you're in luck. I just finished the process myself and I am ready to give you a blow by blow account of how it all went down. So after looking around a little bit to find windows that would replicate my beautiful and totally inefficient 1941 steel divided light windows, but yet modernize them and make them look fresh and new, I landed on Milgard Ultra. If you're in the market for new windows and you're looking at Milgard, you probably already know that there are several sales and installation companies locally that you'll reach out to. (Btw... if you reach out to Milgard HQ in Simi Valley directly be prepared for a shit show. I seriously think there may be a gas leak in that place. But I digress.) So I visited 4 showrooms. Here's what happened at each of them. American Vision Windows - nice, but their bid was about 10K higher than the others and don't let them fool you with gimmicks like 25% off sales... you somehow won't qualify. lol Progressive Windows - price was about $5K higher than others with tons of post installation costs. And the salesperson just didn't seem very interested in my business. There's a fine line between being low-key and being pushy when it comes to sales. I tend to like somewhere in between. Next was Aggressive Sash and Door. Salesperson was very nice and responsive to questions. Their bid was only about 2K higher than Sivan, but I thought that Sivan had less post installation costs. (Btw in the end their post installation costs were the same!) The last showroom I went to was Sivan. The Showroom itself is weird. A ginormous conference table surrounded by window samples. I didn't feel like it was conducive to actually shopping and choosing windows at all. But at that point I had already landed on Milgard Ultra so it really didn't matter to me. Plus they offered me birthday cake. But what mattered to me at that stage was customer service, reputation, final price, and post installation costs. I met with Sapir - the first female salesperson I encountered. Yay! At that point, quite honestly, I was so over being mansplained to that I did a happy dance when I saw a woman was going to be working with me. Her quote came in at $22800 for 7 windows - less than every other place I had visited. (Your mileage may vary.) The bid included a line item of about $5500 for installation. Sapir explained to me that that would be the maximum I would spend and would include reframing if need be due to water or termite damage. She even said that that cost may come down if there was no reframing. I would say this was one of the few negatives of my experience. I watched the installers who by the way, did a nice job (shout out to Jaime and his 2 guys!), and there was ZERO reframing. Yes, they did add some small one by ones to each window, which took all of about 15 minutes and $10 for each window. Not happy about that...I felt duped. But whatever..... at least Sivan was going to be responsible for the restucco of the exterior of every window. Or would they? Unfortunately, yeah, my bad, I guess I misunderstood when I asked for clarification of post window install costs, and I believed I was told that they would not be responsible for painting the re-stucco, or repairs to the interior plaster or drywall or painting the interior. I took that to me that they did the re-stucco of the windows. (See first photo for how my windows look today. Insert angry face emoji. In the end, the experience with Sivan was good - not amazing. My windows are beautiful and the installation was very well done. I'd say there were a couple of hiccups along the way and I think that all of these window companies should be WAY more specific about post installation costs because I'm now looking at $7000-$8000 additional to get my house back to baseline. What a fun surprise! Not a tiny chunk of change by any stretch of the imagination! Sapir was a decent communicator, but I also felt that my business wasn't terribly appreciated. No warm and fuzzies here! Sorry! Everybody needs a different level of hand holding, and I guess I'm just somebody that likes a little bit more for my 23 grand. Very professional though from start to finish! Update: as I've lived with my windows for 24 hours and now I have carefully inspected each one and the rooms they are in, I came across one very large negative. My walls are lathe anc plaster and created a tremendous amount of dust when they were cut into and they did not cover my furniture. So all of my living room furniture is now deeply embedded with plaster dust. The entire house is a mess! I'm going to have an additional expense now of hiring someone to come over and clean all of my furniture, as well as an inch of dust on my piano, my coffee table, my mantle, etc. Better preparation is a must! You should be leaving a place cleaner than when you found it!

We recently had two Milgard windows installed on the second floor of our townhouse, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Barak provided excellent, flawless service from start to finish. From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, Barak and his installation team were professional, punctual, and incredibly hardworking. They arrived on time, completed the job efficiently, and left the work area spotless -- you'd never know a construction project had just taken place. Barak was also very easy to communicate with throughout the process. He was always responsive, customer-focused, and clearly takes pride in delivering quality work. On top of all that, his pricing was very reasonable for the level of service provided. If you're looking for someone reliable and skilled to handle your window installation, I highly recommend Barak. He and his team did an outstanding job!

I worked with Barak to order 16 windows and 1 sliding door. He explained the installation process thoroughly and gave me confidence that the company could deliver on my expectations. Overall, the experience was professional and reassuring. Installation crew were careful and made sure everything was working properly before they left.

If you plan to work with this company, I strongly recommend putting clear liability terms in writing from the start to protect yourself from their mistakes. He was professional, kind, and wanted me to hear his side of the story. Avi explained that the first delivery issue was indeed their mistake, he explained that they immediately took full responsibility, rushed the remanufacturing, and quickly sent replacements at their own cost. The second time, however, the sizing problem turned out to be caused by my general contractor's measurement error, it was not their mistake. One company didn't even bother to come out--just asked for measurements and sent a generic quote for basic Milgard windows. Another contractor did show up, but he was extremely pushy and basically demanded that I make a decision on the spot. He was also the most expensive of the three. Approved Contractor was the complete opposite experience. Their sales rep came out, took his time, was very relaxed and professional, walked me through all my options, and provided full license and insurance info. He left me with a written estimate and zero pressure. Their pricing came in right in the middle, but the service level made it the best value by a mile. Once my HOA approved the project, everything moved exactly on schedule. The windows were custom, and the team showed up within the four-week lead time they quoted. They installed all five windows in less than a day. They also removed the brand-new blinds I had just installed and put them back up perfectly--like they were never touched. Huge bonus. Communication was great the entire time. The installer met me in the morning so I could walk him through the space, and he called ahead before finishing so I could come back from the office, inspect everything, and sign off. The finished product looks fantastic. From the first phone call to the sales visit to installation day, the whole experience was smooth, honest, and professional. I'd absolutely recommend Approved Contractor Inc. if you're looking for quality window replacement without the pressure or runaround.
