Time Out Cafe is deli/pizzeria with seating and all connected to an Exxon gas station of all things. I've been here a couple of times before and the food isn't bad. The pizza looks okay although I have never tried it. I ordered a whole wheat wrap because they were out of whole wheat rolls. They pile a good amount of meat in it but the lettuce didn't taste too fresh. Definitely not enough oil and vinegar and the wrap just tasted dry and bland as a result. Unfortunately they never seem to have their full menu. I've never been here once where I was able to get exactly what I wanted because they were out of one of the items. The location is very convenient since it's right at the corner of a busy area in Wayne. Their menu includes a whole bunch of things that include wings, breakfast sandwiches and burgers. Sometimes they only have one person doing everything so it can get slow, but usually there's at least two people working.

Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese on a roll with ketchup, mayo and pepper

Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese on a roll is literally my FAVORITE breakfast sandwich EVER. As a true Jersey girl, this is what I miss the most when I'm traveling out of State. A lot of places can definitely screw this sandwich up but Time Out does a really good job with it!! I always ask for it with ketchup, mayo and pepper (there's already enough salt in the Taylor ham) on a roll and it hits the SPOT. If you've never had it, you have to try it.

WORST SUB EVER! First off I ordered a #10 FROM THEIR PAMPHLET(turkey, ham, salami, provolone) What I got was a #10 their way (turkey & Provolone)!! When I brought it to the guys attention and showed him the pamphlet he was DUMB founded! But.....they remade it to what I ordered. Hmmm the sub, yes very big but big isnt always better first off why does the guy put the lettuce, tomato, mayo, and oil vinegar on the bottom and then pile the meat on top? This is NOT how a sub is suppose to be made, hellooooo i do not want to bite into my sandwich tasting the meat first, it doesnt mix well when you get a mouthful of lettuce on the bottom, WEIRD. As for the bread it needs alot of help its DAY OLD bread, YES CHEWY! oh and BTW look at my picture, this is where your meat is being cut a DIRTY GERM INFESTED SLICER, YUCK!! Ughhh guess this place should be TIME NOT, for NEVER AGAIN!

Pizza is delicousssss!!! I'm a pizza girl and it's just so good! The sandwiches are really good too!! They are not afraid to pack on the meat, for $3.99

This place was such a great place when it opened. Price of cold cuts has went up a couple bucks. Sandwiches are inconsistent. The price is extremely reasonable when they actually make your sandwich stacked with meat. Unfortunately every time I go now there's mostly Lettuce and tomato and barely any meat.

Never would I have imagined that a cafe in a gas station could be this good. And they are so quick in making sandwiches. I have to try the pizza next.

    That's it

This place is a lil sleeper !! Pizza is a new and fresh taste to this area and the subs put subway and blimpies to shame but the best part was the bill !! I got a large pie 2 toppings and an Italian hero for $15 and that's great

4.5 stars. I've ordered lunch here three times in the last 2 weeks and was pleasantly surprised each time at both the quality and price to value. I say surprised because time out is basically in what would usually be a convenience store of a local gas station. It's not where one would traditionally find an out of this world deli. Granted, it's not a full scale deli with pasta salads and such, but if you are looking for a place that serves a great sub or wrap piled high with fresh meat then look no further. I've attached a photo of their turkey roast beef and cheese wrap that was an absolute steal at 6 bucks. Compare to another review I made last week. Same wrap for 9 bucks...there simply is no comparison.

There's no restroom in the seating area (I'm sure they have one in the back) and the seating situation is super basic. I decided to eat in anyway, and the cashier very kindly brought me a paper plate with extra napkins. This drunk chicken sandwich (vodka sauce) was enormous; I knew right away that I'd have leftovers. The flavor was excellent. But I wish they wouldn't wrap the sandwich in foil like that. Not only does it look less appetizing, but I t really threatens to make the bread moist on the way to your house. Also I found the chicken a bit chewy. It is a bit out of the way, so there's plenty of parking when you get there.

Do not order this if you do not like olives. I never got served olives on a chef salad. I was hoping for a salad matching their sandwich portions. Little tiny scraps of Ham and cheese and barely a bit of turkey. My guest ordered ham, salami & provolone Sandwich, requested mayo, no mayo. Also requested to heat in oven (warm sub popular in many places). They absolutely refused to serve a heated sub. I will make a can of tuna and dump it over salad for tonight, and she took sub to heat in oven at home. The employee at the counter could tell we were not enjoying this lunch ($40 total) but did not seem to care. I will not be back. I have given this location 5 stars in the past.

No reason to go to nyc this is the jersey spot for corn, beef, pastrami, brisket, all hands down it's a great place a lot of people would compare it to Kats in New york. My advice is order on the phone to take out 30 min ahead. This place is busy. Once the word gets around on how great the food is it will be just a long to wait like Kats in nyc So go there now Service is as great as it can be because its busy now. I dont know whats going to happen when word of mouth hits because this place is really that great If you like my reviews add me as your friend

Pastrami Grill Bistro (Located in the Mini-Plaza)…read more83 River Dr. Garfield, NJ 07026 Latkes Pastrami on Rye Located in the local neighborhood strip mall in Garfield, New Jersey is an independently owned Jewish-style deli. Latkes: The potato pancakes included sour cream and applesauce. They were crispy and golden brown on the outside while warm and tender on the inside. This started was excellent and I enjoyed it down to the last bite. Pastrami on Rye: One of the unique aspects about this sandwich was being able to watch the chef prepare the main course right in front of you while waiting in line. This signature sandwich is stacked between two slices of rye bread and piled high & deep with pastrami and a smear of mustard. It has a flawless appearance and looks very appetizing. Unfortunately, I cannot say my taste buds agreed with my vision. I was unable to acquire a taste for this style of meat. The combined taste of the yellow mustard, untoasted bread, and meat was not satisfying. I gave it another chance by attempting to finish the leftovers the following day, but couldn't clear this plate. However, I can only speak for myself, as this is a top seller menu item and I witnessed other patrons eating it. Regardless of my dining experience, I can virtually guarantee this bistro has other menu items I will enjoy because the entire dining area was packed. There was a long line of customers that extended out the door. If I return, I will order an alternative lunch. #pastramigrillbistro #pastramionrye #garfieldnj
