Chicken cordon blue. It's freakin' excellent

Here's a place with a mission to provide a great variety of excellent items at a fair price and really fast pace. It's not your run of the mill deli it's a sandwich experience! I came in for lunch and was really wowed by the two man team and their creations. I had a difficult time choosing from their pre made on display deliciousness! They have a great selection of chips and beverages. They do hot dishes and salads too. They all looked remarkable, all this from a six stool corner joint. There are a couple picnic tables out near the ample parking lot. Here's a place I will seek out whenever I'm working in the area.

This place is great. Always quick and delicious. I'm a huge fan of their pre-made specials because I can't make up my mind too often. Stop by...it'll be good for you

So the peeps around the Shoffee.com offices have been buzzing about this place since it opened a few weeks ago, but I hadn't had a chance to try it until today. I have to admit, for a very long time, I have been saying that Fairfield, New Jersey needs a really good lunch spot - well Fairfield, you now have one. The item I have heard the most about is Caboose on the Corner's "Philly Style" Rib-eye Cheesesteak, well that wasn't in the cards for me today since I was distracted by the roasted pork sandwich on the daily specials menu. Everything in the place was made fresh to order, and was fantastic! And the people were exceptionally nice as well (even though the guy making the sandwiches looked a lot like Matt Millen - lol). Bottom line: King's Supermarket will no longer be getting my lunchtime business; Caboose on the Corner will be the spot from here on out. If you live or work in the Fairfield, New Jersey area, there is no better place for lunch around (I will be back to rate the cheesesteak later this week - lol).

This is one of the best lunch spots in North Jersey, hands down! I have literally picked up my lunch here almost every day I am in the office. Bobby and Jerry are true gentlemen and treat everyone kindly and professionally, not to mention that they make a mean sandwich! Go there and have them give you the rundown on what they prepared that morning. It's the perfect experience that a small deli should give you!

Food was delicious! Quick and friendly service! We went to eat at 1pm and they were nice enough to still serve us breakfast. We will definitely be returning!

Real steak used for cheesesteak, hence the steep price, but totally delish!

The staff I encountered were friendly & patient, which is shockingly not the norm these days! I ordered the tuna melt & fries & took a seat at the counter. I was the only one sitting along the counter, but there are also a few tables in the back that had parties at them. My food was ready relatively quickly & was served to me with a smile. The fries were of the steak cut variety, which aren't my favorite, but no fault of the delis - just my personal preference. They were cooked well & served hot - can't ask for much more! The tuna melt was actually a sandwich & not an open faced sandwich, as they tend to be, and I found that to be a pleasant surprise. Open faced tend to get soggy quickly. The tuna was aplenty & it was delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted & buttery as well. I do wish it was served with a pickle spear, though. Not sure if that's the norm & mine was forgotten or if it is not served as such. Either way, I'm obviously grasping at straws. Otherwise, it was a delightful lunch. I'm happy to have discovered The Cutting Board & even happier they are in the immediate area of my job, I will definitely be back to try more.
