We were in NJ to see family and wanted to visit the local, non-chain coffee shops. What a unique and funky vibe! Walking in, we couldn't help but smile at the bookcase wallpaper, chandeliers, candles, ships wheel, guitar, tic tac toe board, and more fun decor. Continuing with the unique theme, I ordered the peanut butter latte. It's as it sounds: a latte blended with peanut butter! I'm curious what PB they used - it tasted like the sugary peanut butters of my childhood (think Skippy or Jiffy). I enjoyed the drink and the childhood memories. I'm glad I tried it. Next time I'll try a more traditional latte. What a fun shop! Cheers!

Came here for my wife to get caffeinated after hiking and it was definitely worth the trip thanks to IG. Food: my wife got a lovely pistachio coffee and we ended up splitting an apple crumb cake which was amazing. I love the tea decanters on the display and next time I come I plan on getting some. Aesthetic: if there is any coffee shop you come for in NJ for the mood, this is it. I definitely appreciated all the detail and beautiful, eccentric display. Service: the girl working the counter was especially nice and seemed like she was excited to be there!

Does Boonton really need yet another coffee shop??Yes it does! This place is amazing. Don't pass on the Apple Spice Latte! It's a life changer for sure. Starbucks and the larger coffee shop down the bock be damned! And oh yes that oatmeal raisin cookie was calling my name and I'm glad it did.

A really bad iced bourbon mocha latte. - A person holds a plastic cup of iced coffee with a straw inside a car, with a dashboard and windshield visible in the background.

Terrible coffee. One barista, all alone, who stated she was "struggling." My group got pistachio lattes and an iced bourbon mocha latte. All the drinks were uniformly terrible. None of them tasted like the flavor they were supposed to be, they were all incredibly watery, as if the lattes we were given were just weak iced coffees (we specified lattes and specific milks). Didn't bother to tell the struggling barista to fix them, as we didn't think she actually could.

Yum! Walked in and was immediately struck by how quaint the decor and place was. If I had more time, I'd love to sit and relax. I ordered a lavender latte and it tasted fabulous. The date bars intrigued me so I'll be sure to get one next time. My daughter would love to try a smoothie...there's something for everyone here!

This is such a beautiful, relaxing, and aesthetic coffee shop! The drinks are delicious and potent, the staff lovely and kindly. I adore the eclectic Victorian and maximalist boho chic decor. A great place to chill, meet up with friends, or get some work done. Simply delightful!

What a cute little spot for coffee/tea and a pastry! I love the decor and the set up of different places inside the cafe, it was perfect for a creative meeting with my friend. The chocolate chip scone was absolutely delicious, though I wished the matcha packed more flavor. That might just be me, though - I'll be back to try other things for sure!! :)

New gem in town for coffee aficionados! Heard it opened just this February. I stopped by this Saturday morning. Street parking was easy. They have a good mix of sofas and high chairs inside. This cafe exudes cozy and classy vibes without being stuffy because they are super friendly. Inside is like an antique Victorian feel. Very cute for a date, quiet place to study, or spend time with friends. There is a bookcase wall, indoor string lights adorning the walls, and a visual fireplace. I first tried a warm bourbon coffee which was interesting! This flavor lives up to its name with the strong bourbon aftertaste. I also got a pistachio latte to go. The froth and nutty finish was just delightful. Definitely coming back for more~

Stumbled upon this place while walking down Main Street and wow, what a great find! The interior is cozy with an antique-y (new word alert) vibe. There's even games you can play, and we enjoyed a round of checkers with our drinks. We opted for a couple of their specials - the ruby spritzer and an iced blueberry lavender matcha. The spritzer was super refreshing and was the perfect pick-me-up sans caffeine. The blueberry lavender was prominently matcha, with subtle hints of blueberry and lavender. The owner was very friendly and our drinks were made quickly. Definitely worth checking out!

This lounge style coffee, tea and health café offers smoothies, teas and all varieties of coffee, including bourbon barrel aged! They have wallpaper that's reminiscent of a parlor in a Victorian home, making for a cool vibe. The space is big, with huge windows, offering tons of sunlight. It's the hub of the 900 block, across the street from what's known as the best crystal shop in the northeast, Gemtuitive, and the loose tea and herb shop, Sheep Hill Herbals. Also, Uptowne Antiques is right next door. Be sure to grab a coffee, a tea, or a smoothie, along with a snack, and relax a while, then shop the 900 block!

Absolutely beautiful coffee shop, welcoming and friendly baristas and something for everyone (smoothies and non coffee items too!). They hosted the Boonton book swap tonight and I loved it there.

Love this new place in Boonton! The ambiance is unique, maybe like, fancy pirate vibes? :) I got their Bourbon Coffee, which seems to be quite popular, and I could easily see why! Great bourbon flavor, and what I love most about this place -- the coffee was ground fresh before it was served to me! Lastly, the owner was so kind, and you could tell he's passionate about what he does. Will be back for sure!

Good and fast service. Came here after a hike at Pyramid mountain. Was nice to get a little drink and chill for a bit. Cute coffee shop, nice and varied seating options, lots of options and large portions for the price! Will definitely come back!!

In a time when there are so many options for food, any place that people will willingly wait in line for has to be great. I managed to finally arrive at a time that had only a small wait & once inside it was smaller than I imagined - but that's not a bad thing. Limited tables means the servers can spend more time at each table rather than running around tending to too many tables at once. There were a few booths & a few more tables, closely spaced together with different parties. The decor is similar to what you'd find on an old country kitchen with witty sayings. Again, no frills. They're not looking to distract their patrons with aesthetics. Their menu was healthy & had lots to choose from. I went with my old reliable - taylor ham & cheese on a roll & it did not disappoint. They did not skimp on the meat & the cheese was melted well. ALL of their bread is homemade & delicious. This week's special was cornbread & sun-dried tomatoes, we got a side of that & it was very good. Great value for the price & would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast.

Denville Seafood / Codmother's Cafe on Broadway in downtown Denville stands out for all the right reasons -- with incredibly fresh and tasty locally-sourced fish, a welcoming midscale atmosphere, and staff that actually cares about the customers and food they're serving. Denville Seafood / Codmother's Cafe operates as a seafood market and restaurant. The market offers a variety of fresh seafood all of which is locally-sourced from the New Fulton Fish Market in NYC as well as seafood-based soups and salads prepared on-site to enjoy elsewhere. The other side of the shop offers a sit-down restaurant where the chef can prepare anything sold in the market in a variety of ways for diners to enjoy in the indoor or outdoor dining areas or to go. The menu is extensive and any of the fresh fish -- from bass to tuna -- or shellfish sold in the market are available in the restaurant in a wide variety of preparation styles -- baked, broiled, and fried with white wine-butter sauce, rosemary, lemon-caper, scampi, or teriyaki sauces. Dinner platters (which range from $28 to $45 as of December 2025) include coleslaw, steamed vegetables, and your choice of fries, rice, potatoes, pasta, or extra steamed vegetables. Your imagination is the only thing limiting the number of iterations available. For diners who don't enjoy seafood, Codmother's Cafe offers linguine with or without broccoli, chicken tenders, and the New Jersey-staple Chicken Parmigiana. The atmosphere in the dining room hits that perfect "midscale" sweet spot where it feels special enough for a nice night out, but still relaxed and welcoming for a casual meal with friends and family. The high-energy servers are clearly on top of their game and make the whole experience fun. We'll definitely be back. PRO TIP #1: Be flexible with your order. With all of the seafood sourced daily based on what's available at the New Fulton Fish Market and sold in both the market and restaurant, there's a real risk they might run out of something on the menu so make sure you have a back-up in case your initial craving is 86-ed for the day when you order. PRO TIP #2: Free street parking is available on Broadway and 1st Avenue as well as in the Denville municipal parking lots located on 1st Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue.
