Sweet Vinyl has been on my to-visit list for a while, and I can't believe it's taken me so long to get over there. My fiancé and I decided to have a Sunday morning coffee date and check it out. The shop is nothing short of fun, I feel like I could find something new every day while browsing the selections. The vinyl collection is great and there's plenty to choose from. Big shoutout for the shop having a soundtrack section, that's the first thing I always look for when I'm browsing records. I managed to find a record and a cool poster before I even browsed the cafe menu. The barista was super chill and recommended some of their popular items to try for our first visit. We both opted for tiramisu iced lattes and we were not disappointed. The coffee base was excellent, and the flavoring was very balanced. My fiancé also got a lil' treat, courtesy of me, a mochaccino muffin, which got the thumbs up of approval. We both agreed that the space is cool and exactly the kind of spot we'd prefer to hang out in. Sweet Vinyl will definitely be in our coffee outing rotation going forward. read more

FYI - I can only review this place from a vinyl shop perspective, as I did not purchase their coffee or sweets. This is, by far, the best vinyl store I have been to in New Jersey!! Their sections are not only labeled by genre, but within it they have the name of every artist available and even 80s, 90s, and 70s sections, which makes browsing so much easier! Every other record store I've been to only has it by genre, and that's if you get lucky! Their selection is also great as I have found vinyls here that other stores didn't have, and weren't even available online. Their prices are also great, much cheaper for a lot of vinyls (though not for all of them). I will most definitely frequent this spot! read more

What a fun find! Had no clue this vinyl shop also had a super cute cafe inside. I'm just bummed I didn't have more time to hang out because it really looked like a cool spot for cool folks to gather. My friend who is a collector found a great vintage record. I was really impressed with how much time the cashier took polishing the record and wrapping it before he sold it to her. Cozy, maybe a little hispter and trendy vibe, with some couches and seats. Fun little cafe for some treats and interesting seasonal drinks (that are updated and posted on their Instagram)! I went a few times and the coffee-espresso machine was unfortunately unavailable, but there's enough vinyl variety that I was able to get some great gifts for friends. Coffee shop/cafe meets record store...Sweet Vinyl! We were staying in Parsippany and wanted to check out the independent coffee shops in the area. Glad we stopped here and so happy to see that Sweet Vinyl holds its own just a few doors away from a big chain coffee shop. We ordered a latte - smooth and easy to drink - and a matcha latte. Perused the records and music memorabilia while waiting for our drinks. There were a number of other customers inside working on their computers. Cool to see that it's that third place for folks. A cute record shop/cafe in Denville. Met up with a few friends there over the weekend. First time at this record shop, which is well maintained. Majority of inventory is vinyl, with some CDs, 8 tracks, music-related DVD/laserdisc, and audio equipment. The ladies at the cafe were friendly and make good drinks. There's some seating available, but it was crowded when we were there so there may not be seats when you visit. Prices are decent and fair. Vinyl is organized. Nice record shop! read more

Went on Halloween first time here they were dressed up and the coffee was great! I got one of their fall specials, Halloween harvest (latte). Very good and not tooo sweet which i like. Everyone was so nice and the place is very cute. You can walk around and check out their vinyl collection. No pets allowed. They also have two tables for outdoor seating. read more

This is THE PLACE! I was saving up my 200th review for something very exciting. I love coffee and I even take my own coffee maker with me on vacation. I'm serious. Me and my partner have been putting off giving Sweet Vinyl a try, but on a whim today we decided to give it a whirl! We were not disappointed, you walk in and are greeted by the most awesome welcoming, warm, cozy, hip atmosphere with the most amazingly delightful staff. They've got some fun music playing in the background and a vinyl selection (and cds, dvds, Blu-ray, and swag) and awesomely delicious coffee and pastries. Awesome little shop in downtown denville. Definitely covering a niche that is untapped. Awesome record store Cafe combo. The drinks are priced well and there is a good amount of selection didn't try a pastry but they looked good as well. The swag is awesome when it comes to the shop: stickers, pins and whatnot. The prices for the tapes and CDs are pretty good. The records are a little high but that's what's happening now with vinyl so don't expect a flip through $1 milk crate. I was looking for a special gift for a vinyl collector in the family. She lives in the area and while I was visiting I checked out this place for a gift idea. They have a generous selection of new and used vinyls in many music genres. They also have a nice cafe where you can rest after trying to decide on what record to buy. I was a bit overwhelmed so I decided on a gift certificate which they offer in the denomination of your choice. The owners are nice people who obviously love vinyls. Give it a try. Adam, the owner, is a really smart knowledgeable dude, and everyone who works there is very friendly. Good coffee and a great atmosphere. They play all of the music I loved in the 90s and have vinyl records, CDs and 8-tracks (!) for sale. I also loved the music-related books and magazines hanging around for you to peruse. I would have lived in this place when I was in high school or college, but I only remember record/CD stores back then that had no cafe part to them. If you haven't seen a turntable in the flesh recently, you can do that here too. I want to come back for the live music. read more

I initially came on a Monday, to unfortunately find out that they were closed, but visited again today. The ambiance is great. An edgy vibe with vinyls, records, cds, and posters in the back.
