The coffee and food was good. The service was fine. The ambiance was OK. It would help if te place was bigger.

Service was friendly and speedy, but their espresso shots have no crema. Yuck. An espresso shot without crema is not to be drank, so I will be eating my $3. Also, the coffee smells strongly of mint which is extremely strange. I also found the drive thru aspect of the shop to be unclear. Probably a spot best left for locals who like sugary Dunkin style coffees. read more

Extremely awkward that they ask you "would you like to leave a tip" when you hand them your credit card. I don't experience this at any other drive thru. Two stars and I won't return for this reason, because when I decline to tip it's awkward and then I wonder what they're doing with my drink. Bad vibes. Management take note. read more

This concept is absolutely adorable and such a great convenience! Perfect spot when heading to Rte. 23 from our house. Staff is always super friendly -- much appreciated guys!! Standard order is black coffee with oat milk. Always does the trick. Have had other drinks, lattes, etc, all have been good. Typical Starbucks pricing but much happier to support a local spot. Just wish we would have a cute sit-down cafe somewhere in Kinnelon!!! I love how dedicated Longfellow's is to their craft. They do coffee and they do it well. Their cold brew is the smoothest I've ever had and their "red eye" is a great drink when you need an energy jolt. When we arrived there were only 2 cars ahead of us, but a gentleman was kind enough to come out from the small hut and take our order. I was in the area and used to frequent here for coffee and that was always delicious. I tried their raspberry half iced tea half lemonade....wow!!! They need to bottle that drink immediately! Their prices are a bit steep however and I don't think having a bagel with cream cheese sitting out on the window on a 75 degree day is best for business. read more

Best coffee around the area! My family and I love this little coffee shop and everything about it. The smoothies are rich and full of fresh ingredients. My son had a seasonal pumpkin smoothie. He raved about how awesome it was. My caramel pumpkin latte made perfect and delicious. The wife got the same thing but with light this and sugar free that. A mouth full of an order, she says they always get right. Quality snacks and desserts are presented at the window. My wife loves their granola bars, if you want healthy. Sweet and rich, ask for a brownie warmed up. Comparable Starbuck's pricing but I believe a lot better. Drive through only, so the line of cars can wrap around the parking lot but give them a chance. I must have driven past this place over 50 times and i never knew how good it was. I'm actually really mad at myself for never going there. The outside of this place is very deceiving, it looks like a place where they would just have one or two coffee pots and that's it. WAS I WRONG. They have everything from coffee (even different roasts) to expressos to frozen coffee drinks. I just got a dark roast black coffee and it was really really good. This place is so cute! It's a little drive thru coffee shop. I actually drove around it two or three times because I had never seen one and I wasn't sure if that's what I was supposed to do. So, just drive up around it if you get confused. Anyway, I get a simple cup of black coffee with a shot of espresso. It was very good. I have no complaints what so ever. The service was quick, the price was cheap, and it woke me up on a long drive home. There are also numerous espresso drinks and smoothies! A Kinnelon/Butler staple! Some of the best coffee in the area (at least I think so)! I am a huge fan of the iced red eye and the seasonal pumpkin latte. I have yet to try the frozen hot chocolate drink in the summer, but it's on my Longfellow's Bucket List. I really enjoy the drive thru set up, too. It's a random little hut in the middle of a Blimpie and (I think) UPS drop off location, but boy does it get a line, especially on a Saturday morning. Don't pass this place by! It is the small drive-thru only place in the parking lot of the new NYSC at the intersection of Kiel and 23. If you are on your way to work, take an extra minute instead of going to one of the Dunkin stores a bit further down the road and give it a try! Great coffee, great prices and friendly people. Here are the basics: 2 roasts of coffee... the lighter one is more like DD flavor and the darker is more like SB. Their espresso drinks are ALL excellent... too many to name but all good! The prices are right on... falling in the middle of the bigger coffee places. The food is REALLY good. For a drive thru breakfast, it is hard to beat. I'm not sure they have it now but they have this really good "Recession Buster" sandwich for $1 when you buy a coffee (at least at the location on 15...can't remember if here too). A real egg (yes...not that DD crapwich) on a panini style piece of bread. Good stuff! I have also sampled a few different regular items as well that were great. I came to this little coffee shop in hopes of a new spot on my way to work . On my first attempt i ordered a medium size coffee . While I was a little set back by its price (slightly high) and its time to make just one cup it was on average . Nothing to brag But every place has its day so i went again to give it yet another shot . This time ordering a small . When came time to pay the price was the same as if I had purchased a medium like before . When I brought this up all the barista could respond with was "well that was a mistake" . Only mistake was coming to this place and thinking a small business would try to keep customers . This place is seriously top - notch. Favorite coffee place of my life currently. Decently expensive but i'd definitely say that its worth the half dollar extra in comparison to dunkin donuts. The only thing that bothers me is that the initial flavor is 50 cents extra, I wish only extra flavors to the primary would be extra, but its not too big of a deal.
