Okay place...it was nicely decorated and designed with a good color palette (browns, and maroons/darker reds), and it has some nicer seating options like couches or soft chairs. The service was at a decent pace, I don't have much else to say but that, they didn't give us a hard time about anything. The food was also okay, the banana bread was good, I ordered a sweet chai tea latte, it wasn't really that sweet.
Cute and cozy little cafe! My husband and I loved our ceremonial grade matcha drinks. He had a classic matcha latte and I have the cedar green (has ube!). Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely come back to enjoy a drink!
My go to spot! I can always rely on Cedar Bean's for quality coffee and service. As a Cedar Grove local, I appreciate the community atmosphere including open mic nights, local art openings and other fun events that happen on a regular basis. I always look forward to a cup of coffee here.
This review is long overdue. Cedar Bean's has a special place in my heart because it was one of my COVID refuges that made me feel normal/human again for at least a small part of my day when everything was just utterly insane. Prior to March of 2020, I stopped here once or twice to sample their coffee (perfectly favorable impression - I think I bought a pound of the Pompton Peach blend, which was light, fruit-forward, just how I like it) but wasn't a regular customer. During COVID, I started using their app and ordering lavender lattes once or twice a week for an afternoon pick-me-up while I was working from home. Back then, they opened their giant windows at the front of the store so you could just grab your order from the sidewalk. The owner was and is super, super friendly and always up for a few minutes of chatting. I honestly wouldn't recommend using the app if you have the choice, just because it's a little more expensive and it really doesn't take too long to get your coffee when you order in the store. It's nice to have the option though if you need it. I'm a big fan of their aforementioned lavender lattes, which is my go-to espresso drink these days. I've never had an issue with my order or any type of service problems whatsoever - given the sheer volume of visits, that's pretty astounding in my opinion. The one piece of constructive feedback I initially had with this place is that their baked goods were pretty mediocre. They heavily relied on third party pre-made, pre-packaged pastries that just didn't taste that great. I thought if they figured out a way to consistently provide homemade, fresh food, that would make this place great instead of just above average. Lo and behold, they did exactly that. Their sea salt chocolate chip cookies are excellent, and for someone like me who has zero portion control, their two-a-pack product is perfect. I'm also a big fan of their banana bread, which is probably closer to the cake family than the bread family, but at least I'm sort of getting a fruit serving in there. Especially with a place like this that isn't exclusively a to-go establishment, the atmosphere is pretty important and another area where they've checked the boxes off. I'm not totally sure how the antler theme ties in with coffee, but a lot of attention has been made to constructing a cozy coffeehouse vibe. I'm not sure I've ever been in there when they didn't have at least a small handful of customers hanging out. I also admire their willingness to just go for it with respect to their tip jars (see attached). A day or two after Slapgate, there were the competing jars with pictures of Will Smith and Chris Rock. Why any money ended up in Will Smith's jar is beyond me, but that kind of customer engagement I'm sure is bringing them a few extra bucks. Smart marketing. There are a lot of coffeehouses in the area, and I'd argue it's the type of business that is prone to inflated reviews, just by virtue of the fact that they're peddling in liquid gold. Who doesn't love a place that sells coffee? But Cedar Bean's is a cut above the rest and wholly deserving of the accolades.
Absolutely love cedar bean. It's become a part of my routine to at least visit a few times a month and hang out in the cafe, reading a book, for a few hours. I've had pleasant encounters with the staff and met the owner once and he seems really down to earth. The cafe itself feels very homey and warm; can't believe I didn't hear of this place until recently.
Wonderful establishment, friendly staff and creative thoughtful touches everywhere you look! As a family with two toddlers we are always on the lookout for kid friendly options that are open nice and early without having to sacrifice ambience, quality or menu options. This hits all the right spots with thoughtful and fun decor, like a pac man game table, faux fireplace, a shared library to pick up or drop off a book, got some quarters? Snag a fun toy from the machine across the register. The menu offers plenty of great caffeinated/non caffeinated drink options with some twists along with an array of food and snacks. (Even a vegan option which is helpful for my allergy child) I got the homemade chai with an espresso shot and splash of honey, (smooth, delightful and not your typical overly herby chai, and just a sprinkle of sweet) My husband got your classic cappuccino (solid choice :) For food we ordered a few breakfast sandwiches which did the trick and didn't stretch the wallet. The owner Dave was a delight and absolutely made us so much more inclined to visit again and support this local small business. So if you're looking for a quick coffee, a bite or want to sit on the leather lounger "fireside" with a creative coffee or tea. STOP BY! They also host authors, artists and the like on occasion which adds another great element. Can't wait to come back and drop off some books to replace the one my eldest snatched up for our collection.
Amazing coffee spot. 1) I got their home made chai. Which was good, very rustic taste. 2) Their Nutella toast was excellent. 3) The ambiance is amazing. They have these comfy couches. 4) Very cozy spot. Their servers even gave me a free coffee sample. Great service.
Read about this place so decided to give it a try. Nice menu with lots of coffee selections and a few good food options as well. I had a pour over and avocado toast. Both fantastic but I think the price for a pour over is extremely high for me plus the fact that you are charged extra for a cup, the actual pour over and then cream. ????????

My bestie and I decided to check out this shop on a Saturday, having established we wanted to check out a coffee place we hadn't been to yet. The layout is designed in a way that keeps the line easily organized, something I can appreciate. If you've read any of my former reviews, you'll know I despise a disorganized setup for lines. Their menu has a variety of specialty drinks to choose from, and I couldn't resist getting an iced blueberry pancake latte. We received our drinks quickly after placing our order, so shout out to the staff. We both really liked the coffee base itself and knew we'd be coming back. The décor is cool and I loved the vibe; it has a rustic feel that made the space feel very welcoming. We also met the super chill owner briefly and he let us know there was a sitting area in the back with some art on the wall. There is also ample parking to the side of where the shop is located, always a plus. read more

Had a wholesome bite and drink at this cute Cafe. I like their cold brews more than their seasonal and mixed drinks. The breakfast sandwich we ordered tasted like a Jimmy dean's sandwich. Oh, and you can request ketchup and hot sauce (it's RedHot) on the side too. It's a cute cafe with ample seating and there's wifi here so you can work here for a bit while sipping on your drink(s). I am not aware of the parking situation in this area but I was lucky to park in front of the cafe the last two times I was here. But definitely can't go wrong with their cold brew and banana bread; don't get the chocolate banana bread. Bon appetit! read more

My wife and I are so happy that this "joint" opened up in town. It is an attractive and inviting place. They offer all the drinks one would expect and much more with new and seasonal drinks seeming to always be introduced. The baristas are professional and super-friendly. There is outdoor seating in front with a view of the always exciting Rt. 23, comfy seating outside and a new quiet area opening in the back. Owner Dave is almost always there (and very social media savvy!) and is great about displaying artwork from local artists. He has also built a following for Thursday Caffeinated Open Mic nights and there is frequently music inside and outside in good weather. The music, drinks, and food are also kid-friendly with special items for them and folks that are not coffee or caffeine fans. They offer many alternatives including non-alcoholic beers and cocktails. My review will no doubt seem outdated soon because there is always something new there. There is street parking and also a big shared parking lot a few doors away. read more

Was here today for a friend and family soft opening and boy let me tell you this place did not disappoint! The decor is super rustic fabulous with every inch of this place well thought-out and not one detail didn't go unnoticed.... the place has a very cozy mellow vibe. I cannot wait to try everything on the menu and see what else this place has to offer when it opens to the public. I for sure will be a regular customer here. I tried the Pumpkin mocha and sweet Jesus it was delish! Just the right hint of pumpkin in a wonderful mocha. I can't wait to have another one! I have it with the oat milk and did not have to add anything else as it was complete perfection read more

Stopped here because it was down the street from my doctors office! Great find, they do curb side pick up or you can order right at the window. I got mine dropped off to my car and they even took my empty dunkin' cup and said they would gladly throw it out for me! Let me tell this place is MUCH better than dunkin', coffee AND food. The breakfast sausage sandwich is the perfect little size for a quick morning bite! Will be back when I'm around that area! read more
