Story/mission statement

A cafe with a great story and mission. The baked goods and coffees are delicious. A must visit.

Iced latte!

I absolutely love the coffee and pastries here. The staff is always super friendly and efficient too! I always grab a coffee here after my Pilates classes at Reform Studio down the street and it's quickly become my go to!! And I absolutely love their mission of hiring those with disabilities/differences!!

This place has quickly become a fave for me. I really like trying different cafes and ever since trying this one I have come back two other times. Small cafe and quiet. I can definitely picture being able to get some work done in here. Service is great. Every time I have been, there hasn't been a line or long wait. They take their time making your order but the outcome is delicious. They also give you a punch card which I love. You get a punch in it every time you get a drink. I tried the oatmilk vanilla latte the first time and it was so good. The last two times I had their Ube latte, once iced and the other hot. I must say hot wins for me! I love that this place is a non profit and has a bigger purpose than just serving coffee. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Iced latte and oatmeal cookie

Randomly stumbled upon this coffee shop on Instagram and made my way over. I love that they're a non profit, allowing for employment opportunities for people who may have more difficulties obtaining a job. The service was fine, my latte and cookie were good. Just didn't feel very welcome, which marred the experience a bit.

Some iced mocha for the road!

This place was the highlight of my day! I've been wanting to visit this coffee shop, their mission is unique and so inspiring. The place is clean, neat, so vibrant and the coffee is AMAZING, I have so many great things to say but the first thing y'all should know is that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I ordered an iced mocha (not too sweet) and they made it exactly how I wanted it. Then I saw a few fresh apple cider doughnuts and I had to get one, DELICIOUS! Although I'm a bit far from this coffee shop, I don't mind going for a ride, this is a one of-a-kind coffee shop with a great cause. Nothing more amazing and inspiring than a place that provides opportunities of employment to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You guys are amazing and I'm so looking forward to coming back!

On the horizon... those good jitters.

Heard about this shop from a great article from The Bergenite/northjersey.com and knew I had to pay them a visit. You walk in - the place is ultra-clean and vibrant with all sorts of artwork and merch and of course... the beans. The coffee (first visit I grabbed a pound of their mixed, on the second I got their dark) is stellar.  (Yeah, it's a tad expensive.  But what the shop is all about - awe-inspiring and worth supporting. ) The young lady behind the counter might very well be the nicest person ever (like, ever) to work retail and she happily answered my questions and I was out the door and excited to get home and grind up the beans that made my car smell so darn good. They also had treats 'n eats and teas and cold beverages as well.  (But it's that coffee that'll have me making the trek back up there sooner than later.) I have been wanting to come here for a while now and finally made it! Super cute coffee shop that also sells baked goods, candles, notebooks, aprons, mugs, jewelry & more! I love that this coffee shop is a non profit, charitable organization & offers opportunities to individuals of all needs. I had their lemon cranberry bread which is dense, slightly on the dryer side and filling but very rich in flavor! I look forward to coming back & trying more of what they have to offer. The service was great, the cashier was very respectful and welcoming.

What a great place to have a cup of coffee! I love what this place is all about Only disappointing part of my visit is that none of the kids we're working when we got there. Was told they work mostly in the morning so will have to make another visit soon My latte was great, the young lady that was there at the time was very pleasant and friendly and our latte and got chocolate was delicious We already had lunch so did not get to try any of the pastries Parking is a bit difficult, had to circle a half dozen times to get a spot but later learned there is town parking down the stairs in the back of this strip Of establishments I hope they continue to employ special Needs employees and continue to Open more coffee shops just like this

Great ambiance and coffee. Wish it was a bit bigger as it does get crowded from time to time.

Great staff!

The coffee is good here but it's not the best thing about Ethan and the Bean. The best thing about it is that they hire adults with developmental disabilities to work here and provides them the opportunity to have competitive employment. Nice atmosphere here & the staff are good about mask-wearing. Had the Grinch hot chocolate. Very good.

Coffee for a good cause. I was soooo excited to come by and this spot! I saw Ethan and the Bean in the paper last weekend and knew this was where I wanted to spend my #nationalcoffeeday ! I got a maple latte which was perfect and didn't need any additional sugar, it was just sweet enough, I also bought a large bag of fresh coffee and they ground it up for me (I don't have one at home right now). The large bag was only $14 and for artisan, fresh coffee, it's a great deal! They have merch on site as well. The barista informed me their a non-profit so your coffee comes with a good cause. You can sense the love in this shop, from the artwork to charl board of positive notes and aspirations. I will for sure be back!

I've been meaning to visit this place for quite some time and omg, what an amazing coffee shop. Not only is their coffee delicious, their mission and purpose for the coffee shop is so inspiring. The atmosphere was so vibrant and cozy and the gentleman working (Mark/Matt "sorry") was so welcoming and answered all of my endless questions about the shop! A must visit coffee shop in Little Falls

Ask the Community - Ethan and The Bean

When I buy a drink from here, does the shop allow for it to be made in a reusable to-go mug/thermos, or is that not allowed? If not, is there a non-plastic to-go option here?

Hi Ariel! It is absolutely allowed and encouraged! Please bring any to go mug and we will gladly make your beverage :) hope to see you soon!

I ordered a large latte with cinnamon, a croissant for chocolate chip cookies and a heated cinnamon roll. All this took 20 minutes to get. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed by the amount of people and took very long time to fulfill the order. Which was unfortunate because the coffee is actually pretty good, and it looks like they have a lot of events at this space that would be fun to come back to. Like a poetry open Mike game nights art painting. But the care in service leaves a lot to be desired. The cinnamon roll was soft and tasty and not overly sweet, which I appreciated and the chocolate chip cookies were also very good. the croissant was smashed inside the take away container as an afterthought and not with any care. This is something that I believe warrants attention by Management to train the staff. And waited essentially 25 minutes after ordering for

We had to wait about 5 minutes in line to order. Both baristas at the back were super efficient, handing out drinks rapidly. They were not wasting time in gossiping at all. Overall loved the vi be and service of the store.
