What a gem! I usually rate solely based on the food, but this place already gets five stars just for its hospitality alone. The owner is the nicest, most genuine woman - a truly rare find these days. You're basically just going over to your friend's house to hang out and eat. Yes, the slow food movement can come with a cost - but you can sit there all day with the free secured WiFi, climate control, and electricity and no one will say boo. Plus, the place is absolutely SPOTLESS (good luck finding this standard of cleanliness literally anywhere). Off-menu offerings vary daily and they'll pretty much make anything you want if they have the ingredients (breakfast frittata, here I come). For this first visit, I tried the apricot cornetto and The Classico specialty drink (a mocha with bits of Ferrero Rocher). Both were very good and not overloaded with added sugars. I stayed for a while and later ordered the prosciutto, mozzarella, and pesto sandwich for lunch; it was also very tasty and made with some great bread (wherever they sourced it from). read more

CaffeClassico is what happens when Italy accidentally opens a café in Jersey and doesn't bother explaining itself to anyone. Some of the pastries are literally imported from Italy, and the rest? Handmade by the baristas themselves like it's just a normal Tuesday. No hype, no speech, no "wait till you try this" they just slide you something life changing and move on with their day. The homemade pastries (like the one in the pic) are criminally good. Flaky, buttery, dusted with powdered sugar. One bite and you're mad this isn't closer to your house. This is NOT your "let me rearrange my croissant for Instagram" type of place. No neon signs, no latte art shaped like a swan having an identity crisis. And they don't need any of that. The coffee is legit, the imported pastries are elite, and the homemade stuff is on another level. Quality is doing all the talking here. I come here most mornings and the baristas are cool people, efficient, friendly, and not forcing small talk when you clearly haven't had caffeine yet (huge win). Only downside: the storefront blends in way too much with the other shops. This place deserves to stand out. Solution? Simple. Hang a big Italian flag outside. Problem solved. If you know, you know. Stumbled upon this wonderful little spot on a trip from Philly to the Catskills. Was excited to learn it's run -- and supplied with tasty treats -- by a sweet woman from Catania Sicily. Ignore the construction going on and go on in because they are open. Big parking lot! Very friendly customer service A bit on the pricey side for me but the brown sugar shaken espresso was delicious. Unique taste in comparison to other places but good in its own way. They have other items you can try but it was my first visit so I only grabbed the one drink to go. Plenty of seating inside. Caffe Classico in Pompton Plains is a delightful new addition to the neighborhood, and my recent lunch there was a charming culinary experience. After visiting my friends Andrew and Joanne at the Backyard Birding Store, I couldn't resist stopping by this inviting café right next door for a quick bite and a much-needed beverage. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed by Pina, one of the owners. Her enthusiasm and passion for authentic Italian cuisine were evident, as she not only cooks and bakes but also serves with a genuine smile. It felt like stepping into a little piece of Italy right in Northern New Jersey. Although I initially had my eye on their Arancini and focaccia, both of which were already sold out--an excellent sign of their popularity--I decided to try the mushroom risotto and a sugar-free French vanilla iced latte instead. The risotto was a delightful surprise; it had a creamy consistency that struck the perfect balance between being too soupy and too sticky. The rich, bold flavors were beautifully complemented by the earthy mushrooms, creating a harmonious blend of taste and texture that I thoroughly enjoyed. The iced latte paired wonderfully with my meal, offering a sweet contrast to the savory risotto. As a bonus, I couldn't resist sampling their homemade date cookies, which were a perfect sweet treat to finish off my lunch. Their soft, chewy texture and delightful flavor made them an absolute must-try. Beyond the delicious food, Caffe Classico also features a selection of pastries, beverages, and Italian specialty products, including Caffè Barbaro items. Cafe Classico is an amazing breakfast stop. The service is exceptional. The food is like a little tour of Italy. If you want a recommendation, you can get the donuts with pistachio or nutella, you can also get a pistachio croissant that's filled to the brim with creamy pistachio cream, and for a beverage, you can get the strawberry bliss. Went to Caffe Classico with my daughter and sister and it was amazing. I ordered the chocolate hazelnut bomboloni which the barista filled there. It was OVERFLOWING with cream absolutely delicious. The filling was smoothe and not grainy or artificial tasting at all. Also got the strawberry bliss, very similar to a strawberry lemonade: fresh not too sweet. Between the location, barista, and food we ordered there I would have given the caffe Classico five stars, but I put in a order to go which included a frozen cappuccino for my husband which he did say was good (not a man of many words so that's all I got out of him), we ordered two panini sandwiches a chicken cutlet and a turkey. The chicken cutlet sandwich had a great balsamic in it paired well with the arugula just could've used a little more chicken. And my turkey pesto panini was well done. Took a Lemon bar home which was refreshing and just the right amount of tartness we enjoyed it. My disappointment and the reason I only gave this location four stars lies in the chocolate hazel nut and vanilla pastry cream bombolonis we ordered to go. There was a dollop of the cream in the doughnut and that was it. So sad when compared to the amazing one I had on location. I wish I took a picture of that masterpiece. The doughnut itself is very good just lacked the amazing filling when we took it to go. Overall I very much enjoyed this place and would love to return and sample more treats thy have to offer!! read more

I want to like this place because I like to give small Mom and Pop businesses a boost, but this place I am on the fence about. Went in this weekend and there was a couple in front of me placing their order. I then placed my order for 2 iced drinks. The wait to received the drinks was greater than 15 minutes. During this time, there were two individuals behind the counter. One working on the order for the couple who ordered before me and the other mostly watching the young lady working. I have been there before and there was always a bit of a wait (less then 10 min), but this was excessive. While I was waiting, I saw one person start making a new batch of coffee and the coffee is from a pouch. Not horrible, in itself, but for a boutique place, I would expect fresh ground beans. Overall, the drinks were fine, but no worth the $15+ price, when considering the wait that was involved. I think they need to work on their organization skills and to be able to produce their drinks and dishes in a more timely fashion in order to be successful. read more

This place came recommended from my towns facebook page. I am so GLAD I went here! The people are the sweetest! The food was amazing! I wish I took a picture of it before I devoured it. I got my self and husband a rice ball each as well as this focaccia bread filled with all different vegetables. It was DELICIOUS!!!! I will definitely be coming back and the fact that my husband loved the meal was a huge plus since he's picky! I highly recommend!!! read more

I went here with my family. It was our first time going to here and we loved it! We had a bombolini, caramel frapp, focaccia, and a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was delicious! We will definitely come back here. They have a lot of options to choose from. The team working there was very friendly and welcoming. There was enough seating as well with good ambiance.
