The owner is very personable and kind, easy to talk to. Wholesome environment and community based. The drinks are super fun and presentation is beautiful. She's also super knowledgeable on coffee and taught me about decaf while I was there which I enjoyed. read more

Landauer Cafe - Creme brulee latte and pumpkin spice latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Montville, New Jersey

I regularly order crepes from Landauer Cafe -- they're absolutely delicious. Today's pick was turkey, cheese, cucumber, avocado, and eggs -- all made gluten-free by Christina, per my special request, who's always kind and accommodating. There's a variety of flavors to choose from, and I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere is cozy and homemade, with a relaxed charm that makes it a great local spot. Highly recommend, especially for the crepes read more

I was so looking forward to be in this cafe, only to be totally disappointed. The veggies crepe was no good and à fried egg on top made me feel strange and question the French style? Coffee was just ok. I had to take the food with me, and à got charged for the cointainer!?!?! Really. Ok I'm done! Never again will be there :-( read more

What a great experience! Our lattes were perfect and the chocolate biscotti & lemon cookies were amazing. Thank you Christina! read more

Do NOT recommend their lattes. There is 1 size for $5.75 and it came half full. Asked for more milk, then cup was filled 3/4 (photo) and put into the microwave to warm. Was told by server, 'just can't make you happy'. Enjoy supporting local coffee shops but this latte isn't worth the cost. read more

I've come a regular customer at Landauer and this place is fantastic! Definitely try the hot chocolate- some of the best I've ever had. The owner is lovely and extremely personable. Easy to sit and eat or get takeout! read more

Moved to the area and had been meaning to try Landauer Cafe. I started following them on instagram. Do yourself a favor - you will be in awe at the delicious creations. I ordered a gingerbread cookie making kit. Everyone said they were out of this world amazing. I ate at least 12 of them within two days. Not good for my diet, but oh so good for my soul. It's January 5th and I am already dreaming about that gingerbread dough for next Christmas season. Can't wait until the weather is nicer and I can come eat a bubble waffle outside! read more

I love the hazelnut and almond cookies here. It's really very delicious! Once I eat one, I just can't resist eating more. The owner, she is lovely and accomodating. In at least two occasions, it was after store hours when I got there, but she went out of her way to sell me coffee and cookies. I'm glad to find this very special place! Try their cookies, chocolates and crepes. read more

I first found out about this place a while ago (a year or so) from a friend who loves the raspberry cookie dessert (a cookie/mini tart topped with fresh whipped cream and some jam), (definitely NOT a linzer cookie, just a special dessert that is randomly added on the menu) it was super good and as I was eating it I couldn't help but notice it tasted exactly like the giant box of the ones I bought from Costco that were sitting on my counter! Sure enough when I looked one of them without the toppings on it, it was the same exact cookie! Pretty large markup on a dessert that is from Costco with some fancy things thrown on top. Save yourself the money and check out the Costco bakery section because I have a feeling that's not the only thing that is being passed off as homemade. Definitely a place that has some things that look really good but is very pricey. read more

Stopped by to pick up our hot chocolate bombs. Decided to have lunch. Lobster bisque was excellent. The grilled cheese with roasted veggies & olives with Swiss was incredible. Enjoyed a nice latte also. The owner, Christina is full of spunk and full steam ahead with fulfilling the popular chocolate bomb orders. Due to Covid you can't go in the store but it was a nice day and we were able to sit outside. Look forward to trying the chocolate bombs. Would definitely return. read more

Wonderful bakery and Creperie. Everything Christina, the owner makes is absolutely delicious and beautiful to look at. It feels like you stepped into a Dickens's Christmas Bake Shop. The owner is a sweetheart and very talented. Yes, I recommend this gem 1000%. read more

This is a great find, Christina is a real doll, makes you feel like a guest. Crepes, savory and sweet, freshly made and as good as you'd get in France. Delicious freshly made chocolate and pastries. Coffee and conversation! I would go out of my way to come back. read more

Although the crepes were huge and delicious, the extra charges On the credit slip were unacceptable. There was an automatic 21% gratuity charge, and an additional "Non-cash Adjustment"... I would not go back there...there are plenty of honest bakeries around. read more

This place is absolutely adorable and oh the sweet smell when you walk in! I got to watch the owner, Christina, prepping a crepe for a customer and wow I wish I had been feeling better and got that! Great place for a coffee, snack, chit chat, or to purchase dessert gifts! Highly recommend!

Went in here today for the first time. The owner Christina was very helpful and very friendly. Picked up some stocking stuffer hot chocolate and some linzer tart cookies which were delicious! Would love to go back and try some of the other homemade treats. Yes it's a little pricey but if what I am buying is decent then I don't have a problem paying a little more. read more

I love this cute cafe and bakery. When you open the door, you are greeted by Christina, the owner, who is usually making a crepe for a customer or adding a final touch to her creation. I enjoyed her savory crepes for late lunch on my recent visits on weekends. These were huge and tasty. All the cookies I tried so far were good. The most amazing was the Christmas cake I had last year. It was the most beautiful and delicious Xmas cake I ever had! Yesterday I got these mini cakes for Easter. Can't wait to eat! I highly recommend this cafe. read more

Stumbled upon this gem accidentally and walked in. Chatted it up with the owner, Christina, who was very accommodating and kept me company while I sat there. I had a smoothie and got some chocolate truffles to go. Truffles are made from scratch and taste delicious and silky smooth and they aren't very expensive. I felt like a kid in this candy shop and will definitely stop by if I am in the area. Recommend! read more

The owner is such a wonderful person! The truffles and nut dolce smoothies are our favorites

Discovered this place through Yelp when looking for chocolatiers in Morris County, NJ. (Thanks Yelpers!) I walked in and ordered the chocolate caramel truffles for my wife a day or two before Valentine's Day. The owner was very helpful and easy to talk to. The place was very charming inside. My wife really enjoyed the truffles and I was lucky enough to sample a few. They were delicious. I would like to go back to the Landauer for lunch or to try some of the crepes. They looked delicious. read more

You are a liar! I will never come back. You yelled at your waitress and made her cry. You did not explain any special I was given a menu with one price and not told of a "special". You kept the additional money and told me it was the tip that you were not going to give to the waitress as punishment for not telling me about the special. read more

I love this cafe! I frequent this cafe often. There are not too many places where you can get a decent crepe...but this is the place to get them! Not only do they have crepes (and a variety of them at that) but she also has homemade chocolate! Amazingly delicious chocolate! Most chocolate gives me severe migraines...not Landauers! The chocolate truffles are to die for! The owner is always willing to help whenever I need a gift basket for someone or whenever I need some favors for a party! This cafe is a great place to stop by to have a cup of coffee, and you want a place sit and talk and hangout! Love this cafe read more

8 word review: Lovely cafe. Great pastries, good coffee, friendly service. Yelp doesn't like short reviews and posts them as 'tips'. With this added sentence it now qualifies as a review. read more

Landauer Cafe is a piece of heaven with the best crepes, warm hospitality and the owner makes you feel at home right as you walk in the door. It's European /west coast hospitality with a French flair. All of the ingredients are fresh and crepes are made to order. The owner creates all of her own chocolate treats and create beautiful gift baskets. I strongly suggest you give the Landauer Cafe a try. Why such low ratings by others? I have been here a decade from the west coast and NJ natives are not use to such friendly customer service. I have grown to love NJ and see places like the Landauer Cafe are making life a bit more pleasant. read more

I absolutely loved Landauer from its atmosphere to its owner. As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly and offered an explanation of the menu.It truly felt like the perfect homely neighborhood nook. We had crepes, which yes were not cheap considering they were for breakfast, but I had leftovers for another day because they were huge! We came back to buy easter candy which was worth every penny. Yes, a bunny was 5$ but where else can you get a solid dark chocolate bunny and expect to pay any less? The chocolate was decadent and real. Due to the prices we won't be coming back too too often, but it is certainly the perfect treat I looking forward to for another weekend. read more

Cute little authentic French cafe complete with crepes, truffle chocolates, gifts etc. I was so surprised to find this little gem in downtown Montville. This cafe is adorable and filled with delicious treats. The owner is sooo friendly and helpful- def will come back again.

omg. You can't get a cuter place than this. Totally not expecting to land upon this gem, I ordered a savory crepe with eggs, spinach and tomatoes and it totally knocked my socks off. I didn't even know that there would be such beautiful Easter baskets and candies for taking with you, it's a dream come true if you're looking to pick up something for someone you really care about. I will definitely be back to this intimate space. Talking to Christina Renfer, the owner, was so awesome because she is not only the owner, but also creates all the goods! She knows everything that goes into her stuff, so no worries for anyone with allergies. Love this place, be back soon. read more

Dropped in hoping to get a cup of coffee, and the manager(?) flatly said tables were reserved only for dinner. Stood on the street and told us they only had lobster tacos. I am so put off by the customer service. There are better ways to communicate to potential customers and I will not be giving this cafe my business. read more

Chocolates behind counter LOOK very impressive. Have tried some custom Easter goodies that were ok. Very expensive. Coffee is meh, crepes are pretty bad. Owner is very chatty but not in a good way. ETA on 2/4: I just got a private message from someone named Carrie L. who wrote a glowing review after me and wanted to tell me I should be ashamed of myself for my review. Hmmm... is it the owner herself? Whoever it is needs to get over themself and understand that's what a review site is, the good AND the bad. And this place is bad. Have a great day! - * Love that I had to take my pic off and change my name because of stalkers like Carrie L. read more

What a great place!!!!! Had the eggs, ham, spinach, and cheddar crepe. It was huge and delicious! Will be back again. Wife and daughter had some sweet crepes that they loved too! Why are there any reviews less than 5 stars for this place? Landauer cafe is on 202 in Towoco where there is nowhere else really to eat a great snack. Landauer crepes are as good as any crepe I have ever had and better than a crepe I had in Paris. The owner is super sweet and takes great pride in providing high quality fresh food. She has a 2nd location in morristown which is at the arboretum, another hidden gem. Crepes, waffles, omelettes, chocolates, smoothies and great coffee and drinks- this place is too good for anything less than 5 stars. Thank god I found this place- best crepe in the god damn world. read more

Ever since we discovered this place a year ago, we can't stop going back. The crepes are wonderful and customizable (berries and chocolate? Spinach egg and tomato? Gluten free?). She also has pancakes and waffles in the rotation. My kids love it! And if you need a hostess gift, stop by. Either choose from one of her premade sets or let her know what you are looking for and she will assemble a beautiful dish of cookies, chocolates, and accents. She also does limited catering and advanced orders of baked goods like apple turnovers or pies. I can not say enough good things about Landauer. read more
