Located in the same plaza area as DSW and Nordstrom Rack, this World Market has a random set of…read moreitems for home decor. A staffer greeted us as we walked in. The pickup area is just a computer and the staff that pointed me out here was pleasant, and then we waited for a bit as they were all busy staffing the registers. Eventually another staffer came over and handled our pickup order but she seemed rather dour compared with the greeter at the door who was much more positive. Items in stock - check. Pickup - relatively smooth. Store did smell a little bit strange, but maybe it's all the random materials and items there (was looking at some brick wind chimes, wicker baskets and other decor). Definitely some challenges with quality control - some items were already chipped and cracked while on display, others looked great. I've been to another location and they were much better organized. Lots of furniture, though, so perhaps I'll have to dig more into that (though, yes, they are more expensive than Ikea, but less than Macy's). A nice thing around the holidays - various treats from around the world show up in stock that you can get to surprise as a little holiday gift for folks. I'll come back to see what else they have.

Huge shout out to the store staff especially John who went out of his way to assist with me with an…read moreonline order, even calling me back to follow up and ensure I get what I needed. That kind of customer service is rare these days so I appreciate it. Thanks John!

Always up for a party and this place has just about everything I need to get things started right…read more Quickly, I'm admittedly not the best at remembering everybody's special days that fall all around the calendar so whenever I find myself having to throw together a last minute throw-down for my peeps I know I can stop in and get whatever I need to save the day [and sometimes my ass] LOL!!    Anyhow I'm a big fan of this place and the Store Employees are friendly and helpful so that's always a plus. Say what you want about ordering all your stuff online but when it comes to party supplies I'd rather shop in person and eyeball the stuff you know? Mark my words we'll be missing all these nitch type stores if they ever decide to pack up the tent. And that'll mean I'm gonna have to come up with a much better way of remembering stuff. I proceeded to put several packages of plastic plates, tablecloths, and plastic champagne flutes into my shopping cart. However, the main reason I went to Party City on a Saturday morning was to inflate several Mylar party balloons that I had purchased on Amazon.com. Talk about helium sticker shock!!! Party City had the gumption to charge $12 PER BALLOON, for three 30" long balloons; and $5 apiece for two smaller "Happy Birthday" balloons. Damn ... $46 for a few small gusts of Helium! In my opinion, that is akin to Highway Robbery, on Rt. 10 West, on East Hanover, NJ. Never again!!!

For $125/person, I had expected better tasting food though. The small appetizers (spinach salad, prosciutto, Parmesan, olives) may have been put together from a grocery store. For the pasta that we rolled out, the staff only added a plain tomato sauce. The side of vegetables was overcooked and mushy. Tiramisu was all right. We can blame the taste and texture of the pasta on ourselves, because we made it, but I had expected the rest of the food prepared by professionals to be better. No drinks were included -- Healthy Italia is BYOB. There was a nice intro video from the owner telling us about her history and philosophy. She said that she doesn't measure ingredients, and only mixes by feel. How does one teach a cooking class like this? If someone is taking a cooking class, they are less experienced and need precise measurements and instructions. Our flour and water were measured for us, so I guess they do measure something. We were never told the measurements, so didn't have any recipe or any specific learnings to take home. I enjoyed the social time with my group, and especially the long table set out for our group in true Italian fashion. It made us feel like a big cohesive family. However, for $125/person, I felt like we could have had a true learning experience elsewhere or had a much better Italian dinner at a restaurant with drinks. In fact, on the subsequent evening, a few individuals from our group went to a restaurant and ordered similar items served at this cooking class, and the food was remarkably better. And yes, it was less than $125/person with drinks.

I had spinal surgery on Wednesday October 16th at Hanover Hills surgery center in Florham Park…read moreperformed by Dr Jonathan Baskin. The first thing I must say is this. Why, would anyone ever choose a hospital over a surgery center. I requested the center because I was in Healthcare for many years. I know what goes on in big hospitals. And, I must say, this place is spotless. One of the first things I look at. The level of care is totally different than a big hospital. Much more personalized. When we arrived the parking was so easy. We parked next to the front door and walked about 100 feet to the center. My brother could go one mile in any direction for a store. The waiting room is quiet and clean with fresh coffee for the person driving you & picking you up. I was checked in by Crystal, the receptionist & she had a sweet, kind smile from the minute she looked up to Greet me. Then my nurse, Maridel came out and took me in the back to prep me & she stayed with me until they wheeled me out. I then met Dr Cindy Chen, the anesthesiologist who explained everything and gave me a patch for nausea. I was taken in to the operating room, where I met Dr Baskins Physician assistant and a gentlemen named Michael who was there to watch over everything going on at all times and if need be run for items. Next thing I know I'm being woke up by my post op nurse Ellen. From start to finish I spent about 6 hours at the center before being released. The level of care is second to none- you have a much less chance of getting a staff infection and unlike the hospital- everyone knows your name. I would, without a doubt, recommend this center and it's doctors to all of my friends and family. I would encourage it in lieu of a hospital. Five stars for Hanover Hills.
