I have passed by this location many times but never stopped to check. We were waiting for people in another shop and I wandered in. The selections of pastas was amazing. The fresh foods and cheeses. They have a pastry section too. Their sandwich options were very extensive. We bought a few things and can't wait to return. Next time I will order a sandwich.

Picking up lunch at Pastosa Ravioli today was a great experience. This was my first time here, but I've had this place bookmarked for a while. Besides the deli, the store itself has so many delicious food options. I ordered The Signature sandwich for lunch. This is a huge breaded chicken cutlet with homemade mozzarella and roasted red peppers with balsamic. The bread, from Brooklyn, is perfect. I ordered the half sandwich, but honestly it was so large, I split it with my wife for lunch. I really enjoyed The Signature, but there are many other great sounding sandwiches on their menu. I'll be back for those and next time, I'm picking up one of those mouth watering pastries by the counter!

This is probably my favorite place to get some fresh and tasty raviolis! I enjoy getting the refrigerated uncooked ravs and then popping a few in a pot for 5minutes. Their sauce is phenomenal as well. The food they sell here is also very good and the staff are always friendly. If you are lucky, you may also get a free loaf of bread before closing. Highly recommend for a quick and easy meal or to grab your Italian essentials!

Pastosa is a gem. The people that work here are amazing and take real pride in their work. The Brooklyn bread is for real, especially the semolina. The man at the counter hooked me up with honestly one of the best eggplant parm sandwiches I've ever had - gooey, cheesy, saucy, with the crunch of the semolina bread. Even the deli meat was perfectly sliced with care. Def reminiscent of a New York or Hudson county Italian deli (the first Pastosa is in BK).

I don't usually think to review grocery stores, but this one is different. Small and specializing in Italian food, it has a great selection of pasta, sauces, chess, meats and desserts of all kinds. I've been coming for a few years and the staff are really friendly, the food is fantastic. Support and shop local at this little gem!

A #2 just waiting to be devoured.

Their ravioli is obviously worth the trip. A few trays of goat's cheese ravioli, some sauce, some meatballs. That's dinner.

For $125/person, I had expected better tasting food though. The small appetizers (spinach salad, prosciutto, Parmesan, olives) may have been put together from a grocery store. For the pasta that we rolled out, the staff only added a plain tomato sauce. The side of vegetables was overcooked and mushy. Tiramisu was all right. We can blame the taste and texture of the pasta on ourselves, because we made it, but I had expected the rest of the food prepared by professionals to be better. No drinks were included -- Healthy Italia is BYOB. There was a nice intro video from the owner telling us about her history and philosophy. She said that she doesn't measure ingredients, and only mixes by feel. How does one teach a cooking class like this? If someone is taking a cooking class, they are less experienced and need precise measurements and instructions. Our flour and water were measured for us, so I guess they do measure something. We were never told the measurements, so didn't have any recipe or any specific learnings to take home. I enjoyed the social time with my group, and especially the long table set out for our group in true Italian fashion. It made us feel like a big cohesive family. However, for $125/person, I felt like we could have had a true learning experience elsewhere or had a much better Italian dinner at a restaurant with drinks. In fact, on the subsequent evening, a few individuals from our group went to a restaurant and ordered similar items served at this cooking class, and the food was remarkably better. And yes, it was less than $125/person with drinks.
