The clock's movement hadn't been serviced in over 116 years according to the 2 November 1910 inscription on the pendulum bracket by its previous servicer. Also, the clock's marble base was missing most of the Roman numerals that were formerly attached to it to serve as the dial. Bernie Maya of Chappell Jordan completely cleaned and serviced the movement and bell such that the clock mechanism now looks brand new and the clock runs like new. Bernie also polished the marble and installed new Roman numerals for the dial on the clocks marble block. What a magnificent job ! Chappell Jordan hit it out of the ballpark again !

He spent time talking with us about his family and even asked about ours, which made the experience feel very personal and genuine. He mentioned that he no longer sells clocks because he stays too busy and doesn't have time to deliver, but the shop still has some really neat clocks and artifacts throughout the store along with paintings and photos of him and his family everywhere. It gives the place a warm, unique feel that you do not find often anymore. I came in to have links removed from my new watch and to get batteries replaced in two other watches. Even though it was pouring rain that Saturday, Van kindly offered for us to stay and wait out the storm. That level of hospitality really stood out to me for an all-around great experience. After it was delivered, they kept the lawnmower for several weeks. When I received a phone call I went over to the shop. The owner told me I needed a tune up. The oil was black. The filter was dirty. I tuned the lawnmower a week before I had it delivered. He marched out to the lawnmower and told me I was wrong. He took off the filter cover and it was brand new! He still argued with me and he charged me for the tune up!!! I do not know how to add a photo, but the blade is an old, used blade. It does NOT cut. I wonder if he even changed the blade!? Did they even check for damage to the engine due to the fact i ran over an object. Untrustworthy. I went back to dispute the charges. The blade is at least 3/4 rusted. He told me I was wrong. i have to mow the lawn twice. And then weed eat over the entire area. Blades of grass are sticking up randomly. he implied I was lying.
