I just had a 2nd antique clock serviced by Chappell Jordan. This one was a 175-year-old marble and patinated bronze French Figural Clock. The clock's movement hadn't been serviced in over 116 years according to the 2 November 1910 inscription on the pendulum bracket by its previous servicer. Also, the clock's marble base was missing most of the Roman numerals that were formerly attached to it to serve as the dial. Bernie Maya of Chappell Jordan completely cleaned and serviced the movement and bell such that the clock mechanism now looks brand new and the clock runs like new. Bernie also polished the marble and installed new Roman numerals for the dial on the clocks marble block. What a magnificent job ! Chappell Jordan hit it out of the ballpark again ! read more

I had Chappell Jordan come out to my home to repair a Grandfather clock that had stopped chiming and striking. I have never had better service than what was provided by the clock maker Aaron and Joe. While Aaron was cleaning then oiling all the cams, sprockets and levers, after removal from the case, Joe was cleaning the case inside and out. The clock has never been cleaner and it now runs and looks like new. Stepping into Chappell Jordan Clock Galleries is like stepping into history. I felt like I was in one of those artisan clock shops your find on the cobblestone streets in Germany. The two owners have been in the business of clock repairs and sales since 1965, and each of their staff has been with them for years. I went in to find my grandson a playful child's cuckoo clock, and their selection is incredible. Upon making my selection, I found myself wanting to know all about the various new and antique grandfather clocks they were selling.  I felt like I got a history lesson just listening to them tell me the stories of some of the clocks. Amazing! I asked to see the repair shop, and we went back to their building where they repair everything from watches to grandfather clocks. Chappell Jordan has a great selection of all kinds of clocks. I was looking for a mantel clock and they had several ranging from low-key classy to super fancy silver/gold plated face clocks. They also offered a great selection of both battery powered and mechanical. Prices are very fair in my opinion, especially for the quality of the clocks and the 1 year warranty you receive. All the clocks (or at least most of them) seem to be made in either the USA, Germany or London....no made in China garbage. Another thing I liked about Chappell Jordan is that they can do all repairs in house. Everyone I met at the store was very friendly and willing to help. I went to Chappell Jordan to drop off a clock for repair. The store is a series of rooms with all types of clocks--kitchen clocks, kit cat clocks, mantle clocks, antique and new grandfather clocks. There was a wide array of clocks for sale--everything from $50 all the way up to $15,000+. I couldn't resist looking around and came across the most gorgeous antique 1910 German grandfather clock. I was nervous to ask the price as there were some very expensive clocks in-store. To my surprise, the clock was very affordable and became my early Christmas present. Chappell delivered the clock the next week and showed me how to operate it. I couldn't be happier with my antique grandfather clock. There's something about the chimes that makes a house a home! The people at Chappell Jordan are so friendly and knowledgeable; it's a pleasure just to meet and interact with them. I totally recommend Chappell Jordan to everyone. We took three clocks in for repair. One of the clocks was originally from London and made in the mid 1800s. It had a beautiful chime but had quit working. When we picked it up, it's chime sounded like someone thumping a soft drink can. Its beautiful chime was gone. One of the other two clocks, a 30 year old Seth Thomas, has never worked correctly again and 1 year later will not stay wound. It is beautiful but useless. The last of the three clocks, a less old Howard Miller mantle clock now rings one time more than the actual time. At noon and midnight, it rings 13 times. We purchased a Howard Miller grandfather clock from Chapell Jordan 35 years ago and it still works fine. I'm glad because if it ever quits, I wouldn't trust Chapell Jordan to perform a repair again... ever. read more

I had a great experience with Chappell Jordan. I purchased a Howard Miller Arendal grandfather floor clock and the price was freaking unbelievable. I thought it was a mistake at first. Delivery and setup was free as well. The owner actually showed up at delivery if you can believe that!! I was at work during delivery by my wife was at home and the owner placed the clock in a number of locations to see where my wife thought it looked best. Today I brought my clock in and it was repaired while I browsed the nine rooms of clocks. After about 20 minutes, I returned to the service area and my clock was ticking away. After our Howard Miller Grandfather Clock had been ruined by the flood in June of '16 We went to a local dealer and was looking for a replacement. They have a large selection of clocks in store, but if you do not see the one you are looking for, they will order it for you.
