Fantastic experience!!! Everyone was so personal and warm. I wish I could give them 10 stars! I was urgently looking for a leather sofa and loveseat. Raul was very helpful on the phone, sent pictures and measurements, and my husband and I went right away. They were the perfect high-quality leather sofa, and loveseat at the perfect price! (The shop was lovely and I found a few other eclectic items as well!) At checkout, when I explained why I needed the leather (having allergic/anaphylactic/respiratory reactions to a new fabric sofa and loveseat we purchased 6 weeks ago), Raul went above and beyond. Raul personally arranged for his delivery man to come in at 7am to load and deliver the next morning before the store opened so I wouldn't have to wait 3-5 days for delivery. I didn't ask for special treatment - he did it out of the kindness of his own heart! In fact, Raul (owner) himself and his driver delivered, set up, and picked up the other set for me at 8:00 the next morning. I cannot thank them enough for their care, concern, and willingness to go the extra mile to help me!!! They are literally lifesavers!!! Potros Resale will be my first stop and my first and highest recommendation from now on! read more

I was driving down Shepherd and noticed a beautiful table that looked exactly like what I've been picturing for my living space, and pulled over. I was greeted by Raul, the Owner, and he was so warm, friendly and welcoming! He took the time to chat with me for a bit, and he even showed me several extraordinary pieces he thought I may also like! He basically went above and beyond, and the piece I purchased is incredible and it's also in mint condition. I've been looking for a table like this and have never seen one under $100.00, I was stunned and sad I hadn't visited PRS sooner. I had an incredible experience today, thank you Raul for your kindness and may your business continue to thrive! I'll definitely be stopping by to check out your latest additions to your collection of beautiful things! read more

Every time I pop into Potros Resale Shop, I always find some highly distinctive piece of furniture or interior décor. On one of my visits this year, they had an amazing late-modern style, drum table in chrome and black marble. This was not some standard, mass-manufactured item of the kind that we've all seen before; it appears to be a one-off crafted by a local artist or designer and is very high quality. The price was quite reasonable, and store owner Raul was super-helpful when he delivered the table to my apartment later in the week. I highly recommend Potros Resale Shop for their unique selections! read more

Love perusing this place! I've many one of a kind treasures and will definitely be back!

Potros has some very interesting items in the front of the store... they are a little pricey on some of the items however their stuff is really unique. They also have furniture outside which tends to be more reasonable than the inside. The better priced items are to the back of the store but tend to be a little worn however great for do-it-yourselfers like me... overall it is worth a Saturday walk-through! read more

My wife and I got a really good deal on a drafting table from Raoul. He was super cool and price was super fair. Cool business, we'll be back soon! read more

This is my all time favorite resale shop! The stuff you find in here is so unique and never tacky. The guy that owns it is incredibly nice and helpful, and he will work with you if you don't like the price. My favorite is rummaging through the outdoor lean-to area - he's always got the most fascinating knick knacks. We try to come at least once a month because he's always getting new stuff. I don't want to miss anything! read more

Potros is definitely a furniture resale shop stop must. They have a truly unique selection of furniture, housewares, and odd industrial pieces that is ever changing. Prices are fair and the owner is very helpful. I recently bought an amazing contemporary Teak coffee table that is fabulous and a gently used leather Stressless chair for awesome prices. I highly recommend this shop. read more

I love this place. I've shopped here for years. It is a hidden treasures type of place- kind of place. It's not homegoods. Things are in antique/used condition and are fairly priced. It's an adventure just to walk around and look through what's here. Sometimes it's a little disorganized if they've just gotten new stuff but I find it fun, and Raul (owner) is always helpful and willing to make a deal if you're interested in multiple items read more

My wife and I just came in here on the off chance that we'd find something that would at least resemble what we were looking for. We found a beautiful antique piece of furniture that was exactly what we wanted. We were able to work with the price, as it needed a little extra love. Raul, the owner, is very professional, personable, and helpful. He even met us at the store the next day a couple of hours before he opened to help deliver the item to my house. It isn't just antiques here either. There's furniture, some appliances, some art, they even have building materials from older homes. it's worth checking out what they have every so often in my opinion. read more

Buyer beware!!! Horrible customer service and deceptive practices.. I purchased 2 wing back chairs for 375.00. I explained to the sometimes flirtatious owner that I traveled heavily and would need to find someone to pick up. At no time was it stated of a period of time in which the chairs had to be picked up. I returned to the store and my chairs had been resold supposedly but in the same breathe the owner says if I pay storage fees I could get the chairs. Really!! I asked for a refund of my money and never received anything. If a refund could not be given store credit would have been the right thing to do. I now have lost 375.00 and will never step foot in to this establishment. I intern took my business, several family members and friends to Alabama furniture on Yale. They have outstanding customer service, great prices and offer delivery services. read more

What a fun place! This is truly a best kept secret in Houston! Driving up to this place, I never would have expected what I found inside. The furniture, art work, and décor was very unique and high quality. There are also other items like records, VHS tapes, yard art, old windows, china dishes, and antique tools. The sales lady and owner were both very helpful and nice. They were well-informed about each piece in the building and were happy to answer all my questions and offer a good deal. read more
