I always ask for Chad, he takes good care of me and gets straight to the issue and doesn't waste my time. Glancing at the other reviews, from what I understand, rebuilding or cleaning a carburetor is a pretty normal fix on small engines. Fuel issues, like dirty fuel, or debris getting into the carb after the fact can cause "revving" noises. I can't speak to that specific situation, but in my experience this shop has always been honest and reliable, which is why I keep going back. Thank you, Southwest Mower.

Just this year, we had to do our first major maintenance on the modern ag products heavy-duty shredder/bush hog. The stump-jumper pan finally gave out and needs to be replaced ($200-$250). Other than the annual greasing and gearbox oil check, we haven't had to do anything other than clean it after shredding and we have done some heavy shredding with it and it is not shedded. We appreciate their experience and advice and will be doing business with them again as we upgrade to a 15' mower (still keeping our 7' shredder). As for our 8' disk mower we have never had to do anything with it other than the usual annual maintenance. Wharton isn't the closest town with a tractor shop (we are in Bay City), but our next purchase will be with them.

A few months after their maintenance, the generator crashed and showed a message which said an oil pressure issue. They said "nope" not them. They could come out and check, but most likely there would be a fee.

So the way it works is you pay a trip charge for the first trip which if you agree to the repair it gets subtracted from the total at the end of the repair.
