I didn't even get a chance to ask a question about it. He then proceeded to point at the wall and said "I have hundreds of those and more in the back. Take your pick." Right before I left he said "do you have the glass dome?" To which I responded yes, and he replied with, "well put it on and leave it on the table because that's all it's good for." I left very soon after and was extremely discouraged. I went to a store and bought some electrical contact cleaner. I worked on the clock and I fixed it. The clock is now running beautifully and smoothly. I wish the employee had at least looked at any of it before saying those words but it does not matter now.

I just had a 2nd antique clock serviced by Chappell Jordan. This one was a 175-year-old marble and…read morepatinated bronze French Figural Clock. The clock's movement hadn't been serviced in over 116 years according to the 2 November 1910 inscription on the pendulum bracket by its previous servicer. Also, the clock's marble base was missing most of the Roman numerals that were formerly attached to it to serve as the dial. Bernie Maya of Chappell Jordan completely cleaned and serviced the movement and bell such that the clock mechanism now looks brand new and the clock runs like new. Bernie also polished the marble and installed new Roman numerals for the dial on the clocks marble block. What a magnificent job ! Chappell Jordan hit it out of the ballpark again !

DO NOT use this guy!! I left my $1000 watch with him to replace the batteries and after a year of…read morefrustration and a $150 deposit, he finally tells me he lost my watch. Then a couple of months later, he says his roommate's friend stole the watch! But he will replace it with a cheaper inferior model. I told him that was unacceptable so he suggested I find my own replacement. I do, but it is not as pristine as my watch, costs me almost $400, and it also needs batteries. I take it to him (assuming he would still have the original replacement batteries-wrong! He doesn't have those batteries either! Now he wants more money to get more batteries and that "when he gets a check, he will repay me for the replacement watch". Long story, short: it's been over 1 and 1/2 years, I'm out over $500, I don't have my original watch, no batteries, no repayment, and he won't return my calls or texts! Any way you cut it, I've been scammed by this guy!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from Black Forest Watch and Clock, Jewelry, or whatever else he's calling his business now!!
