Figured I'd share my experience with Timber Tree Service, no I didn't hire them for any of their services, and never would after reading their reviews averaging just above 1 Star (considering 1 is the lowest you can rate). My experience was limited to one of their trucks trying to run me off the road. Driving down Pleasant Hill merging from 3 to 2 lanes I guess I merged before they were able to speed up and cut me off. His responds was to tailgate me and when I moved over to let him pass he preferred to cut me off slam on his brakes and push me over into the median. Timer Tree Service is the worst contractor we ever used. It was a nightmare for us! We contacted this company to remove some trees from our backyard. Chris, the company owner, gave us a written quote, stating "cut tree, chip branches, haul away trunks". At the end of the 2nd day, he told me his crew finished almost all the work, and a few items left would be done the next day. Since he seemed nice, I trusted him and paid him the full amount. Apparently, that was a big mistake! To my surprise, they dumped all the 16 tree trunks at our cul-de-sac, including the ones which were cut the day before and were already loaded on the top of a flatbed truck. They just dumped everything at the cul-de-sac. Since that day, they haven't shown up again. I called, texted, left multiple voice mail on his office & cell phone, but no reply. After 8-9 days, he called and told me he was sick, and those debris will be hauled away in a few days. A few more days later, he told me his mom's company would pick up those tree trunks - after my repeated text inquires. Then again, "the truck is busy and so it would be done in a few more days". And a few more days later, he replied my text, saying the truck was broken and in the repair shop. One week after another, he kept finding all kinds of excuses. In the end, I had to pay another tree service provider to haul away these tree trunks in the cul-de-sac. They also made a 90% cut in the trunk area on one tree, but let it free-standing there. Chris told me his crew would be back the next morning to take it away. Well, it never happened. After 10 days, that tree fell down by itself, landed on the backyard, making a big mess. I had to buy a chain saw to cut it into smaller pieces to be disposed. From my experience with this company, I can say this company can NOT be trusted. We had some major limbs overhanging out garden on Lummi Island and were afraid that having them cut by someone that did not know what they were doing would result in a disaster. Taylor and his brother did an UNBELIEVABLE job cutting them down. One limb was over 20" long! They safely lowered each limb down by using ropes, hauled these giant limbs thru our yard that was filled with plants to the chipper and NOT ONE plant was damaged. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to be sure things are done right and done safely. read more

Then, they did not complete all work agreed to. It took longer to complete the job because his crew was late or needed to leave early, or go to a court date to avoid being locked up (or so I was told). Timber Tree Service still has a load of tree limbs that need to be picked 5 days after they pulled off the property. I very am disappointed on how they conduct business. Now, the company's phone is full of messages and I can't even get thru to them. How many other people are dealing with the same issues. That's why I felt I needed to post this negative experience. DO NOT USE !!! They stayed next door to us at my home in Hilton Head doing work for the Island following Hurricane Matthew. I had a tree partially down which they agreed to take down and remove in sections. Instead, one guy decided to take it down by himself, landed in my pool, broke my wrought iron deck railings, broke a window, cracked my pool deck, damaged my deck and gutter. They were very apologetic, as I had company coming, they said the owner would come over, have everything fixed and the debris would be cleaned up in the am. No one came, I cleaned up the entire mess which took 7 hours, ordered a new window and in process of having the other items fixed. After 2 days. I did ask them if they were going to move the logs, which they did, tearing up my side yard. Still no one has come over and I have not and will not pay as the damages exceed the little work that they did. read more

Never ever use Timber tree service from Woodstock Georgia. Very shady company, you make your check out to Nancy Varible. But yet her son Chris claims to be the owner, so why would you not make your check out to him or Timber tree service? They tore a hole in my roof while removing trees and then the very next day without repair want to me to pay them in full. Their own site supervisor, Patrick, was nowhere to be seen when it came time to have the damage repaired. As the customer, I was left to contact an electrician and the local power company to have all repairs made. I would never recommend this company to anyone!!! read more

Before using this company, consider this is the caliber of their employees. When I cane out of restaurant to find this large truck parked beside my Tahoe so closely my son could not walk between the two vehicles to get inside our car, I said," the whole parking lot is empty and he chose to park here?" Then I realized a man was inside truck with window down and started screaming at me, yes, the parking lot is empty and I picked this spot, I did!!! He did not offer to move to allow room for my son to get in car so I told son to wait on sidewalk til I backed out all while this man screamed profanities. After I put son in car, I stepped out to take pictures of company name to report when the driver and a lady jumped out screaming vulgar profanities and threatening. Disgusting . read more

Similar to Scott's review below I had a very disappointing experience with this company. Their crew destroyed a couple of trees that were not supposed to come out and made a complete mess of the front yard with their bobcat. They also broke our backyard fence. The logs that were placed near the street for pickup sat there for over a week. One of the logs wasn't taken and it's still on my property even though I called multiple times. Communication and updates are terrible. I would not use this company again! read more

Was driving down the interstate and saw a truck with their logo on it driving very aggressively and erratically putting others at danger. When I went on yelp I was not surprised to read all the negative reviews concerning this "company's" behavior. read more

First issue, the initial quote we were given was incorrect. The man was too lazy to get out of his car when quoting my mom, and we ended up paying an extra $130 than the initial quote. The first day we met them, they got one of three trees cut down. With the one tree they cut, they broke the fence to our back gate. They temporarily tied it up with string for the night. When they returned the next day to cut the remaining trees, they blocked it with the larges pieces of tree trunk. It took them about two months of phone calls and texts to finally get the fence situation figured out. Initially we were not pleased with our service, however Chris did his best getting us set up with a fence repair man, James. Fence repair took one day for measurements (20 minutes really) and only one day for James to fix the gate that was broken. Appreciate both Chris and James for their apologies about the delay. read more

DON'T EVER USE TIMBER TREE SERVICE!!!!! We had Bill come out and we both agreed on a price for the removal of 4 tree's from my property. Bill stated his guys would leave behind a little mulch. The crew came out and started the job on Friday evening and returned back on Saturday. They removed our Tree's and left piles of mulch behind in my backyard. They stated they would return to get the mulch and have not returned as of today. They even told us to get a dumpster for them to put the mulch in and still they have not returned. We have tried several times to contact them Chris and Patrick stated they would return and still have not returned. I am left with over 200 pounds of mulch on my property and a dumpster. It would take me months to haul this mulch away It requires a bobcat.They also damaged my back and front yard. Now I am left to find someone that will remove this mulch. They are a horrible company just trying to get the next gig. That is not how you do business. I would never recommend this company and think they should be out of business.IMG_2596.JPG read more

If I could put a flashing star that was negative I would. 1 of the worst experience you could have with this company. The owner and his crew came into our hurricane damaged area and did nothing but cause more problems. We rented our property to them Biggest mistake ever! Chris taked to my husband and promised to take care of our property! Wow! No words, we work our tails off for this property. They broke a window, they ripped crown molding off our kitchen cabinet. The pulled off the strike plate to our front door. It took a cleaning company 4 hours to clean! We had to have all our carpets cleaned. Hand prints all over the walls! More trash than you can possibly imagine. Beer cans, cigarette butts and marijuana found all over the inside and outside! They took a mattress from a damaged unit and put it in our storage area for guys to sleep in. No lie I have pictures!!! We called the police after they didn't leave at the time they should have. To be Sure the cleaning people would be ok. When they entered the night mare. The TV was totally disconnected and moved. Pretty sure they were going to take it but, didn't because the cleaning people were there. When we called the owner! I was angry! (That puts it mildly) I was yelling! Chris was a rude, button pushing jerk! He told me "that's what you get when you rent to a bunch of tree guys! I was livid! I swore at him and if I could have reached through the phone I would have! The icing on the cake! Was this guy had the audacity to write a bad review on our property. Stating I swore at him like a dog. Let me say the words I used don't come close to the names he called me! (Big tough guy) I put a message on our local Facebook page to beware of them and I received a list of places restaurants and bars that had problems with them. People had called the police about their driving and complaining about their service! I have pictures! I am sure at this point they are in Florida causing more devastation! While working at my next door neighbors house they damaged my property and will not take responsibility to fix the damage.

DO NOT USE THEM: I am very disappointed with them and I wouldn't recommend them. We had two trees cut down, they damaged my gate and fence. Patrick ran to Home Depot and bought a cheap gate that doesn't even remotely match our other gate or fence. I told him it was unacceptable and he was more concerned about collecting for the tree service than correcting the issue. We have called the owner Chris numerous times , he kept telling us he will call us back and now he refuses to take our calls. Finally after posting this on Facebook, the owner contacted me, once to say he left a message with my husband, which he did not, and a second time stating that someone would be coming by to pay for the damages. It has been 6 days, contacted them again, via Facebook since this is the only way they communicate and my post has been hidden and no response has been made. read more

I had 5 trees taken down by them three years ago and had a very good experience. When it came time to do my backyard I gave Chris a call again. I was happy with the agreed upon price and timeline. The crew arrived Friday at around noon and worked until night fall. They came back and finished up Saturday morning. All together they took out over a dozen very large trees and made short order of it. The entire crew was very polite and professional. Nobody in that industry is perfect but for the service and price Timber Tree offers I will use them again. read more

Chris advertises on CL $95 1/2 cord of seasoned firewood. When it was delivered I asked if it was seasoned and he said Yes right to my face. He lied. This guy owns a tree service so you got to figure he knows seasoned wood from green wood. Apparently he is ok with lying to his clients. If he had any sense he would know that people will buy from next year if he hadn't screwed them this year. They removed one large oak tree. They completely destroyed our lawn and landscaping, cracked our driveway, and never returned to complete the entire clean up of the job. They provide very poor customer service and are very unprofessional! I would not recommend them to anybody, ever! read more

Guys did a great job cutting down the trees... Needless to say they ruined my land & they refused to make good on their end of the contract.. Left with the trees that weren't chipped still in my yard almost a year later... Mgmt came to me when I disputed the charges with my credit card company, lied & said they would clean it up & make good on the contract... We used this company last year to take out several trees while they were across the street at the neighbors. Had a good experience. Called them this year to remove several more trees that were damaged. Took them several weeks to respond initially. Then they removed the first trees, and took 3 weeks to come back to collect their payment. When they came back, I had one more tree that needed to come out. The foreman said "I wondered why we weren't taking that one out when we were here". If he had called me in the first place, I would have had them take that out as well. Then they agreed to come back to take out that last tree, and of course charged extra. I paid them in advance, and it took them 30 days to come back, ignoring my repeated calls. I asked them to put the chips along the property line, and when I came home, they had scattered the wood chips along the entire garden area, killing every plant in that area, and burying all my plants and my nice path in 2 feet of mulch. In addition, they decided not to come back for the log of the tree, and they chipped it, leaving large pieces in the garden area. Do not recommended them at all. Very poor service. read more

Today Timber Tree Service were due to take a few branches from one of my pine trees as they were working next door. I asked the 'gentleman' in charge how long it would take as I was going and wanted to pay him after the job was complete. I also asked if he wouldn't mind putting a few small bushed through the chipper whilst doing the other branches. All he could tell me was I don't know repeatedly. For example: Was it safe to go down the side of my house? I don't know. How long will it take. I don't know. Could you shed some bushes. I don't know. I explained they were the ones I asked him about when I engaged the company's services. I don't know. I was quite frustrated as this point and said come on, this is your job you must have some idea. To this his response was to forget everything and he would not complete the job. I posted on the company's Facebook page. Post was removed. DO NOT USE this company if you want good customer service. In the dictionary next to the word "terrible" is a good place for Timber Tree Service's company logo. What they lack in incompetency they make up for with dishonesty. They used our house to stay in Hilton Head while they did clean up after Mathew. And we needed a massive clean up effort to put our house back in order after they left. The highlight of their residency was a call from Palmetto Dunes security at 3 AM the morning after they departed. Our garage door and front door were open, the lights were on all over the house, most windows were open and trash (real trash) was all over the house. A contractor who had done some repairs while they were there referred to them as animals. They broke in to the owner's closets and stole numerous items. The used $400 worth of water in 6 weeks. They dumped their garbage in the garage because they used the outdoor garbage cans for beer coolers in the middle of the house. My house watcher's crew spent over half a day "cleaning up" before they could allow the cleaning crew in. read more
