I really hate to leave a bad review for these guys but after the last experience they earned it. Used Chipper many times so when I needed to clear some trees for my son I hired Chipper, even though I had two quotes for $1000 and $1200 less. Figured I would do them a favor plus get some really good work since I was a previous customer. The other quotes didn't include pulling a city permit which Nathan said he would do if I hired Chipper. He never did that, telling me he would charge extra after hiring Chipper. The contract with Chipper was to leave all chips on site but on the last day Nathan showed up and said "you ain't getting those chips". He said the crew threw logs in them but how is that my fault? I talked to the crew directly and they agreed to dump the chips onsite. We needed those chips for erosion control and they were the purest, perfect hardwood chips. The crew left a tree trunk covering the area beneath which ran my son's internet cable which they broke. It was over a week before they removed it and they got internet repaired. They pretty much wrecked the slope in my son's back yard and his front lawn too. Even though the contract said they would climb the trees in the back, they used a lift and that did the damage. We bought another house and it needs a lot of tree work. However I will never use Chipper again. This time I'll just use the lowest bidder. This job couldn't have been much worse. read more

Fantastic work from this company. Extremely fair pricing for all the work we've called them out to our property for, ranging from a dozen tree removal (on two separate occasions) to firewood delivery. With the firewood delivery they even bring it up a hill and across my back yard to a couple racks and stack it neatly for us, which is ALWAYS appreciated. Never felt pressure from getting quotes on which trees we wanted removed as well, even a couple they recommended keeping/saving for one reason or another. They even helped us prioritize which trees should get removed based on how healthy they were and location. Can't recommend them enough and will continue doing work with them. read more

I saw this company's dumpster parked in my neighbor's yard. They do equipment rental in addition to full service landscaping and tree cutting. I had enough trees that needed to go where I decided a do it yourself dumpster rental was not the way to go. I called the office to schedule an estimator visit. The estimator, Jason, was very polite and agreed with my assessment of which trees needed to go that could be a problem for the house. He was able to put together a quote on his iPad and have it emailed in about 15 minutes. The price was a lot less than the service I had used in the past. The work crew came out at the agreed upon time and we went over the areas that were marked by the estimator. Everything was cleaned up neatly after they left and they took care not to damage the lawn.For the price and value you get you can't go wrong with this service. read more

Chipper LLC has done work for us on two separate occasions. The first time they removed 2 dead pines and a maple that had split completely down the center and fallen. The second time they removed 2 more pines, did some major pruning on 5 maples and 2 pines and cleaned up several trashy brush piles that had collected over the years. Both times I was very impressed - the employees are friendly and professional, they provide proof of insurance, they are reasonably priced, and they do an exceptional job. I ordered a cord of firewood and I got a cord of firewood. Out of the cord 1 piece was a little rotted, 1 piece was infested with ants, and 1 piece had a bunch of holes eaten through it but no signs of infestation. Which I thought was a pretty good stats out of a cord. I burned those first. The wood burns well and seemed well seasoned. I would buy from them again. read more

We recently purchased a house and the backyard needed work. The slope and furthest parts of the yard were completely overgrown with briar, small trees, and tall weeds. It was a mini forest and after we saw a fox run through our yard, we needed it cleared out ASAP. A friend recommended Chipper LLC and we got a quote on a Monday and they did the service on Tuesday. The guy brought a tractor/bushhog and a chainsaw and had almost a half acre cleared out in just 3 hours. The price was terrific, far less than what we thought we would have to pay. Nice guys (on the surface) and good prices. Customer service and keeping their word... not their strong suit. Needed chipper machine work to be done. What started out as "lets put you on the schedule, set an appt for a specific time", turned into "we'll try to make it if we finish up around the shop and our guy has time". That's not a summary... that's Robby's words! Followed by... "maybe tomorrow, but not sure". Bottom line, any "service" they offer is second to tasks around the shop, equipment SALES, and maybe firewood. I suppose if you don't really care about your own schedule or what you asked for gets done at all... by all means, give these guys a call! And then there's the chipper I rented, since they couldn't be bothered to show up. I can't believe I actually decided to rent from them. I was blinded by the considerably lessor price they had compared to HD, Lowes, or even Talisman. I live 15 min from their shop. Picked up the chipper 1.5 hrs. before they closed for the day. Highly unlikely anyone else was going to show up for the day to rent THAT, much less the others just like it sitting in the yard. I brought the chipper home, found that it was simply just going to be too dangerous to position the chipper to actually use. Never even turned the key to run the machine. Literally... ZERO time put on the machine. Called them about the time they were closing to let them know, they said sure... bring it back and "we'll figure it out". Only thing they figured is they wanted to keep the $200+. Their logic? "Well.. it left the yard. Well... we had to fill out the paper work. Well, he had to grease the machine to get it ready." Literally, again... Robby's words! Collectively, all of this took 15 mins... not that it should matter. Wound up getting 1/2 the money back... which took 20 mins. worth of conversation and convincing. Unbelievable these guys... Customer Service is really measured when things are not black and white. Jason and his helper did a great job. We had about twenty trees growing over our septic tank drain field and we were concerned with root infiltration causing a stoppage of the drain line. Several of the trees were quite large - over 18" in diameter. All 20+ trees were cut down, chopped up and hauled away in a matter of about 10 hours. The price was very fair.
