My back yard was hit hard by storms that came through Forsyth county Georgia the summer of 2023. I had some damage to my roof which meant tree removal was urgent. I called Acorn and they came to my home the next day with men, ropes, and a crane. Tree removal was completed in the same day. I was amazed! But the real issue here, and the real reason you should use them is the success I had when filing insurance. They know the insurance rules and regulations for tree removal, and wrote my estimate to provide full insurance coverage. The removal and cleanup after was done very professionally. The lead on the team is a master arborist who knows trees and the issues surrounding older trees in our county. I wish I could have videotaped the process and using that crane!! I have used these folks in the past and they did a good job so called them out again BIG MISTAKE We had two trees that needed to be trimmed and some brush that also needed to be chipped and hauled away Intially, They wanted to refer me to their previous owner stating that the "job sounded too small". When they asked if there was any climbing , I said there was a lot of deadwood so most likely yes They have a minimum of $800 just to show up When the crew arrived , I pointed out one additional branch and asked them to remove the pile of brush that I showed the guy who came out and gave me the quote Crew foreman said no problem. After they left we had a lot of wind and some of the branches they cut came falling out of the two trees they had just trimmed. so I called them back asking them to remove this debris I even hauled the branches to the curb making it easier for them to pick it up Michael came out and wanted to charge me again ! He started to argue with me over the phone that this was not what was quoted.." I think the $800 that I gave them for one hour of work was more than enough ... especially when they left debris behind There are a lot of other tree companies out there that you can use other than Acorn read more

I wanted to get some trees taken down from my yard. They were in my community's buffer zone and technically could not be touched. However, they were 80 to 140 feet tall pine and gum. I got a few quotes to get them taken down. One guy quoted me $1600 for just three of the larger trees. Another said $4000 for the lot of them, but would just bulldoze them down. ACORN came in at $4440, but said that they would take them down with precision. I ended up going with ACORN because they are arborist and their business is located in my county. ACORN provided a written explanation to my HOA, which was quickly approved. ACORN scheduled me in and gave me an estimated date, which they told me in advance was based on prior commitments/workload and weather conditions. They kept in contact with me to let me know how their week was progressing with other jobs. On the day ACORN came to remove the trees, I have to say that I was pretty impressed. Talk about professionalism. You see, the whole time prior to them coming out, I was expecting about four guys with climbing/repelling gear and a wood chipper. ACORN showed up with two large trucks (as big as the dump trucks that you see rolling around I85 and Beaver Ruin), a monster wood chipper, a cherry picker (not your typical cherry picker, but a $100,000+ one specifically made for tree trimming), a Bobcat and a bunch of guys with climbing/repelling gear. They made quick work of the trees. I was amazed at how fast the work progressed. I was amazed at how they would drop limbs in a way that would not damage the fence right beneath it. I was amazed at how their wood chipper would eat trees with trunks that were over a foot and a half. It even ate trees with all their branches still attached. I counted at least three truckloads of wood chips and an estimated total of 88 tons of logs and wood chips. I was up on the third floor to get a bird's eye view of the process. When they felled a tree, the ground would shudder and shake the whole house. They were dropping trees and clearing them out of the way so fast that I would miss the action if I stepped away. Through the entire process, ACORN was very professional, with communication, invoice/quotes, payment and so on. I offered to give them my credit card early, but they said that was not necessary and would be taken care of the day of service. read more

I have used the services of Acorn Tree Service many times over many years. I have, for financial reasons, even received bids from other companies. They have not always been the lowest bidder, but I know what I am getting from Acorn. They are Arborists, so they know what they are doing and they have the equipment to do it right! I just had them back this week for a variety of services, including removal, trimming and pruning. They performed each task with perfection and care. They even picked up and took away a few piles I had of dead limbs that had fallen over the winter. I do not know of a tree company you can trust this well. Highly recommended!! I recently had several companies out to estimate taking down 6 large trees , that were full of vines and close to power lines. They were the only company that showed up for the estimate on time and they were the most knowledgeable. They showed up in force to complete the job with cranes and bobcats and 10 professionally dressed professionals . They collected the job and cleaned up to boot ! Top notch work! They were very responsive and communicated well with me regarding my project. I had to have a bunch of trees removed from the forested part of my property due to pine bark beetle infestation. Acorn tree care removed several trees and pruned the front and back of our lot. The owner Clint is very professional and since he is an arborist provided important information about the health and safety of out trees. He owns his own equipment which is important to me because I do not like paying subcontractors. We had two ancient very large trees that posed a threat to our home. One was in our backyard and Clint was knowledgeable about how to safely remove the tree over our 2 story house! He also removed a 33 inch oak from our driveway that had a bad lean towards the house. He worked from early morning till after 6 in the evening with his crew to remove the trees and complete the work. The crew was very nice and made sure all of the work was done and cleaned up. I liked this company because the owner is like no ordinary tree guy. I will always use them for our tree care needs. read more

I have to agree with the previous post about poor customer relations. I can honestly say I cannot recommend this company due to total lack of customer service. They were recommended by a friend, and I asked them to take down two trees in my yard, one of which was leaning toward our home. I was told it would take two to three weeks to work it into their schedule. The next day the father of the owner shows up at my door to look at the trees again saying he has been in the tree service for forty years. He says his son has underpriced the job and was not happy about it. He said it was his company and his son works for him. I say I need them taken down and was willing to pay extra if needed. Same story as before about the time. The father did show up a few days later and after several verbal confrontations I asked them to leave and actually paid them for the job to leave with the job half done. Next day the son shows up to pick up the tree remains left from the previous day saying that "emergency jobs" normally cost $500 per hour and he was just trying to help me out by sending his father's smaller crew. This is just too much drama.One tree cost me $750 plus three days lot of agony. Needless to say this is not the company you need. Poor customer relations and lots of excuses. read more
