I really do like how the project turned out and that goes to the sub contractors. Several of them were fantastic and I would highly recommend the sub contractors. Unfortunately, the management of the project was less than. I expected more communication. We were told several times when the manager could not make a meeting or was rushing there to meet for 10min, they were just "so busy with their other projects." Even the owner came at the end to look at a few things and didn't say one word besides hello. Honestly, we are still waiting on them to find a solution to paint on the custom oven hood and I doubt we will ever hear from them. Guess they are just writing off the small payment that's left. We have friends all over Southside and it's a shame that we cannot recommend this company because people ask all the time.

No, it took 11 months because we had to fire RVA Restoration due to their incompetent sub contractors and an argumentative superintendent. If you choose them, be prepared to oversee everything they do or you will be sorry. They don't even deserve ONE star! We made the unfortunate decision to choose this company for restoration work. They are highly unprofessional and incompetent. Do not make the mistake of thinking they will finish your project skillfully or on time. You are better off finding qualified tradesmen specializing in specific areas, who care and take pride in the work they do. This company is nothing more than an embarrassment to the industry. They will do low-grade work and leave your home worse off than it was.

Right now, it's tough trying to find a contractor to do work, much less good work. I was pleased and satisfied with the whole process. The owner came and made the estimate on the promised day at the promised time, they then gave me an honest price that fell in my range of estimates. I opted for new fixtures and tile resurfacing in the shower, as well. On the day the job was supposed to begin, they showed up in the morning and worked diligently for the next several days, completing the job in the timeframe they gave. Overall the experience was great. On top of that, the work was excellent. The shower looks brand new, my floor is modern and nice, and everything is symmetrical and color matched to provide a perfect aesthetic. Jeff and his team took the time and did it right. They kept in touch and never had a problem with keeping me in the loop. I'd recommend to anyone based on this experience and I'll use them with my next bathroom or tile remodel, for sure.

Absolutely disappointed in results and customer service. The website states that the owner does the…read morework himself and guarantees satisfaction.... not true at all. Two employees came to do the initial job and there were several areas that needed to be fixed. The owner came to do the repairs but ended up painting the shower floor the wrong color and not repairing areas specifically discussed. Another visit, new paint on the floor again, a couple more repairs... each time an area was repainted it left crackle marks and is very obvious. Within a week the newest layer of paint began to peel up... after yet another repaint (all this time I had expressed concern that the lower portions didn't seem to have been well covered and perhaps just a total re-do would be best) I gave up on trying to get satisfactory results. It also took repeated attempts to get the owner to contact me back every single time and even then he was clearly annoyed by me. None of these issues were caused by anything we did so I didn't understand why I was made to feel otherwise. Total waste of money... the floor doesn't come clean and you can see areas of the old blue color still and areas of exposed old grout. There were dings left in our freshly painted walls and areas can be seen on our brand new tile floor where something was dripped and ruined the glaze on the tile. Total waste of money- 100% unhappy.

After months of dealing with demo and setbacks with mold, lead and asbestos we were very jaded and wondered if the house would ever be restored to its former glory. We had multiple friends who worked with Lane homes for their renovations and they all recommended them highly. Ed Lane came out in June 2023 six months after the flood once demo was complete. He was professional, knowledgeable, super communicative and set our minds at ease. Work began in July and we were told to expect it to last four months. In my mind I hoped it would be complete by Thanksgiving. We have lived in several homes over the years and used several different contractors and have NEVER finished a renovation a month ahead of schedule!!!! We just finished the end of project walk through today with our project manager Kevin Joyner and we are honestly a bit sad that we won't see Kevin and his team around here on a daily basis. Kevin went above and beyond the call of duty. He is EXTREMELY thorough and a complete perfectionist. He and his team were so communicative. He returned our calls/texts any time of day, night and on the weekends. We always knew what to expect the following day; who would be on site and when they would arrive and depart. I can honestly say in this months long process there was not a wasted day or lag time. Kevin is meticulously and expects the same out of his crews. From the painters, to the plumbers and finish carpenter each Lane employee was a delight to work with. If we ever move or renovate down the road we will use Lane Homes for all our remodeling needs. If every company was as honest, thorough and easy to work with as Lane there would be a lot less frustration in the world! Thank you Lane Homes and Kevin Joyner, we are so thankful and proud of the beautiful work you all did. You guys truly are the best!!!!! And thanks for the caulking the kitchen sink Kevin....over and beyond

They worked all day on a Saturday to get ahead of a serious rainstorm forecast for the next day. In addition, they also replaced the flashing under an exterior door along with some adjacent siding. The final cost was only a little more than their original estimate (very reasonable). We were very impressed with AHE's communication and work ethic.
