We brought a spec home from them three years ago. We like the house but the owner was unresponsive when dealing with an issue.

Addison At Swift Creek

Addison At Swift Creek

I lived here for a little more than a year--quiet neighborhood, nice apartments, and maintenance…read more(rarely needed) was very responsive. I think the true character of an apartment company's management is revealed when it's time to move out--I had very quick and easy move out process and they made no attempts to hit me with spurious charges. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great apartment.

I have rewritten this review so many times because I simply do not know where to start. Our lease…read morewas 15 months - we moved out 6 months in because we had issue after issue with our apartment. Here are just some of the issues we faced: A tub leak that lasted months, that WE had to tell them how to fix, and the wet dry wall was never properly remediated. This also resulted in mold growth that the office denied, despite maintenance notes stating they "cleaned mold off the baseboard." Our fridge did not maintain temperature for the first several weeks we were in the apartment because it took them that long to fix it, despite me informing them I had tens of thousands of dollars worth of medications in my fridge. The wall behind our fridge leaked when it rained heavily. This was never fixed - all they did was clean out the gutters. It still leaked when it rained. There was mold growth at the corner of the vent in our kitchen that was completely ignored. During our struggles with the tub leak, I actually caught maintenance in a bald-faced lie regarding the moisture levels in the drywall. I felt they were so untrustworthy that I bought my own moisture meter, and the reading was 25% HIGHER THAN THEIRS! That was an astronomical difference! When dealing with the kitchen wall leaking, the leasing office refused to have maintenance cut a hole in the wall for airflow, despite that being the proper step for moisture remediation. As a result, the moisture levels in the drywall remained elevated for weeks. During this period, maintenance left a dehumidifier in our apartment, which we were expected to empty ourselves. It was so humid in that apartment that the dehumidifier had to be emptied 2-3x a day. The maintenance supervisor actually had the gall to state that he could only assume the moisture levels hadn't come down in the drywall because we weren't running the dehumidifier 24/7. He came to that conclusion because there were two instances where maintenance had entered my apartment and the dehumidifier had cut off due to it being full - mind you, they came into my apartment before I went on my lunch break and could empty said dehumidifier. Which I could only do because I worked from home. So what would have happened if I worked in an office and wasn't home to empty it during the day...? I also feel it is important to note that I actually had to start using an inhaler while living at Addison, which my doctor believed was due to mold exposure. I was able to come off of the inhaler within 2 weeks of moving out and no longer being exposed to whatever was in that apartment, for what it's worth. Despite all of these issues in our 6 months with Addison, we were never issued any rent concessions at all. Just apologies over and over again, with minimal fixes that their hand had to be forced to make happen. I will give them some credit though - they didn't charge us to move out early, which while grateful for, I highly doubt that was from the goodness of their own hearts. I don't think this review does the struggles my husband and I faced while living here justice, but this is the best I had left in me after dealing with this place. I would think long and hard before giving your money to the Addison at Swift Creek and Weinstein Properties. There are likely places safer for your health, your sanity, and your wallet than these apartments.

We brought some plans we liked online and brought them to Kevin (owner), essentially same way we did before. Kevin said no problem I'll send to my architect. This is when it gets to why I'm giving them one star. The first time we built with Kevin he did everything himself design wise and didn't charge a dime. Foolish us we thought it was the exact same process. Kevin did not once mention that the architect he was giving our plans to was $5000. We were a little upset then but figured $5k in a loan was not a huge deal. When formulating our budget we told Kevin several times our max budget which INCLUDED our lot cost. Once again same as last time and something I have no idea how he missed. When finalizing our budget we were way over our max because Kevin "didn't realize" we wanted everything included. I had a text showing him that it was indeed talked about and after that he said "we ll work it out". We had to get a second plan and ended up not building with Kevin. Long story short Kevin was not willing to work with us on paying some of the fees owed on the first plan even though it was entirely his fault. Just wish he did the right thing.

The whole project went smoothly and we love how it turned out! I worked closely with Faro on selecting our countertop material, and decided how to handle to renovation, and he was there to answer any and all questions that I had. They handled everything from tear down of the two tier peninsula to the countertop installation. They made it super easy to limit contact during the pandemic and handled as much of the planning as they could remotely. Everything was taken care of within a matter of weeks and it would have been even faster if not for me having to unexpectedly postpone the installation. I can honestly say that this was the most reliable and customer oriented business that I've ever worked with. We love our new counters and if we have any future upgrades to make, we will definitely be working with them again. It was clear from the start that they care about their clients, and that made all the difference.

I couldn't be happier with our decision to go with TopSource for our new countertops!…read more I'll start with the initial process- I never felt pressured or rushed into anything. I wanted a farmhouse sink to be part of our new counters project, so Faro took extra time and energy figuring out a size/depth sink that would work with our cabinet set up (who knew farmhouse sinks were such a complicated trend?!) Faro then took the time to talk me through picking out our stone choice- answering my questions, large and small without hesitation. He was attentive, quick to reply and knowledgeable. Come installation day, they were prompt and professional and worked quickly! I was surprised it only took a few hours. They cleaned up after themselves, and didn't leave a speck of debris- and our counters are absolutely stunning. Truly, I'm so glad we chose to support this family business rather than a large home improvement store. Faro was knee deep in the process from start to finish, they cared about their work and their customers- Genuinely we are so happy :) Thanks to Faro and Edwin!

Brian was very easy to communicate with and took care of ordering all of the supplies. They came by the following week and completed the install as scheduled. Our staircase not only looks better, but is as solid as a rock and not all wobbly like it was before.
