After a hurricane paid us a visit in late September of 2022, our roof needed repaired. After he inspected, he then provided a very detailed explanation of what he determined needed repaired. Based on the the other estimates, Chris was going to be doing the most work, including installing a chimney cricket at our request and his estimate was the most reasonable. Once the work began, his team worked efficiently and finished earlier than expected. It looked amazing! I never imagined there'd be the amount of debris I saw but they did a phenomenal job at cleaning it up. We needed a new roof and gutters due to a botched installation by a different company. The initial estimated start date was late September but we needed the work done as soon as possible. Chris, the owner, pushed his schedule to accommodate us. He came out to provide an estimate himself and advised us that the work needed was extensive and would be costly. He even told us that we should be sitting down when we looked at the estimate. In fact, the proposal was extremely reasonable. He kept us informed about adjustments in the start date, and the delivery of materials for the job. After comparing quotes from several companies I chose Walter D Witt to replace my roof since their quotes seemed to cover everything I wanted to see. I knew there was a possibility of needing just more than a shingle replacement and my suspicion was correct. I was at work when I got the phone call with the bad news that my roof would require new sheeting, I wasn't surprised but Chris and his team initiated their plan and worked in parallel to keep the job moving along while they gathered materials for the added scope of work. I had my roof replace by this company and the installer were the best I have seen in a long time. Clean up everyday and it took 6 days to complete my roof replacement. Chris Was so nice that he let me pay for the materials to keep me from getting a cost increase on the roofing materials. We were so glad he offer this to us because it saved us. We would tell anyone that he is worth any cost over what you think you might save with another company. I received 6 bid on my house and he was not the in the bottom three and and not he cheapest. My 86 year old mom had a couple of roof leaks over main house and addition in Hopewell. Based on recommendations from others and some previous history I called Walter Witt Roofing. I lived 1.5 hours away so Chris adapted to my schedule and met me out there. Proposed a reasonable solution and subsequently repaired the spot over the main home and replaced the roof over the addition. It looks great, works great and mom is happy. Mr. Witt came out on a service call, he was prompt. He thoroughly checked out my concern regarding what I thought was a leak but it wasn't. From his observation he assured me it was condensation from the heavy rain storms we had few weeks ago. By my man cave being air tight this resulted in a small built up of condensation which did no internal damage. After explaining to me his observation, I was was very pleased with outcome. I've used Witt Roofing for several of my roofing projects such new gutters, gutter guards, new roofs on house and sun room , etc, which has met my expectations. Chris and his crew remedied what was a "less than professional" prior roof installation. They removed the old roof, addressed all the damaged wood and the questionable /starting to fail wood. Their preparation for the roof was intense and thorough on my old 1947 house with boards not plywood! Then came my GORGEOUS, Brownwood roof with its beautiful, weaving tones of brown that was both rustic and classy looking! Then seamless gutters replaced my old leaking, ugly, flimsy ones! I am now very proud of my house and smile as I drive up and see it! They treated my little house like it was a castle! Everyone was professional and friendly and the results were excellent. I needed new facia and guttering around my house and I picked Witt Roofing to do the work. I am very glad I did. The work and attention to detail by Josh and his team from the gutter division is exemplary and the team should be proud of themselves. There is no zipping down with a nail gun as fast as you can. After calling around and trying to get quotes , Mr. Witt came by and gave me the best one, also he was very nice and personable. But my best statement is this... After the job was done I called Mr. Witt so I could pay him, he stated that everything was fine and my roof wasn't going to leak but he was not happy with the outcome, so he wanted part of it redone. He said it was not up to his standards. He could of excepted my money and I would have not known the difference. Walter Witt Roofing did a great job on replacing my shingles about 3 years ago. They found hail damage and worked with my insurance company to get the shingles replaced. They did a great job! During an house inspection prior to selling the house this year the inspector said the shingles were pushing up at a point along the edge. Witt sent someone to check/repair it the next day. However it wasn't the roofing it was siding trim. They took care of the issue even thought it really wasn't their issue. Can't say enough about their workmanship and their integrity not to mention they beat the other quotes by about $6000. I would most definitely recommend Walter D Witt Roofing! read more

Somewhere above our third-floor window was a leak. I called several contractors, an inspector and our insurance company for suggestions on how to repair it. Paid one contractor who charged $150 but it did not fix the issue; leak continued. I called Walter D Witt and they coordinated around our schedule and came out and replaced the insulation, the plastic covering and several vinyl-siding pieces, I had on-hand, as well as seal everywhere around the window. Soon after buying our house, we discovered there was a layer of new roofing over an old roof, which had been leaking many years. The short: they were perfect. I requested service and they contacted me within a week and repaired within a month. Nobody wants to be a roofer so there is a lot more demand than there is roofers. Anyways, they came out to the house, did an inspection of my attic and there was a leak around my chimney because the last company did not put in flashing. The young man removed all the shingles and moist roofing wood. He created a professional flashing design around my roof and we have had no trouble for a year since the repair. We have a large back yard storage shed that needed a new roof. I called Walter D Witt Roofing and they came and replaced the old roof. They are 100% professional and do quality work!
