They repaired decking sections that needed (they didn't overlook it and keep going), took care not to trample my wife's plants. I first met with the project manager December 9, 2025. We had purchased a home and wanted a…read moresunroom addition and interior work done. my goal was to have the work done by June/July. When we realized we would not move in for a couple of months I asked the project manager to see if he could separate the quotes and do interior renovations before moving in. This was a "NO" so that 20k of work went to another contractor. Note this was the beginning of January so I assume not a super busy time. By mid March I still did not have a quote/idea on how much addition would cost...not even a ballpark. I was the one that kept calling/checking in to get status update. Needless to say I decided to end discussion. The new company starts work next week. Poor customer service/communication cost this company in excess of $150k of work. Another company is starting work next week. The only reason that I'm posting this is that I'm looking for additional work to be done and realize how much I depend on/look at reviews.

All the workers we dealt with were pleasant and relatively competent. The reason I would not recommend Coastal Contracting is primarily due to the lack of follow through with their one year warranty on materials. Our addition has been completed for about 9 months at this point, and we have had 3 distinct issues come up. Twice the HVAC has failed, and once the shower plumbing was malfunctioning. The first time the HVAC failed was right before the ice storm of early 2026, and we called the installing company to arrange service. They came out promptly and fixed the HVAC (faulty part, but we now had heat!) but we were told that we had to pay out of pocket for repairs since we did not first contact Coastal in writing. Ok. It then failed a second time right before the heat wave of July 4th weekend, so we contacted Coastal. We did get a personal email back after business hours saying that they would contact us after the weekend, which after 2 business days we have not heard from them. Again we did some repairs on our own. The plumbing issue happened between the two HVAC issues, so I was wise to submit my request for service in writing and followed up with a phone call, during which I was assured I would hear back...which I never did. It is just disappointing. Also disappointing were the many mis-ordered parts and vanity that delayed our project, the cut corners that we had to be vigilant about inspecting, and the surprise few thousand dollar increase in fee for a plumbing issue they did not see when they were quoting us. They admitted they didn't look under the house as they should have (I thought we were paying for their expertise?), but assured us that we could be happy that we were still getting a good deal. Maybe these hiccups and lack of communication after they get their check are all normal on a project of this size-I don't have any other point of comparison.

Our experience: 1)…read more Took us nearly a month just to get any information on payment options because we were told there were "zero interest" options. When we finally heard back they said "oh, there's a finance charge for zero interest" 2) Pushed back the start date by nearly two weeks. When they finally showed up, they just hung out in our driveway for an entire afternoon and said "we'll start tomorrow" 3) Their crews are small and slow. Took a week to finish the siding for a one bedroom, 1100 square foot house. I'd guess it would take 2-3 weeks for a regular sizes home where most crews complete jobs for our sized home in 2 days, tops. 4) Didn't order enough product and had to come back two weeks later to finish it. Didn't cover the unfinished area and it rained a ton -- now hiring a company to come and inspect the work since it definitely will have moisture issues 5) Left a giant dumpster in our driveway for almost two weeks after the main job and cleanup was finished, and for a week after they finally completed the last small part. I called the dumpster company who hadn't heard from them, they were just lazy and irresponsible and left it there. Office manager refused to help me or provide any guidance on when a project would start, how long it would take, and when it would be completed. Barely speaks English so communication is very difficult. Claim to have been in business since 2004 but their site and reviews don't reflect that at all. Would not recommend as we were treated very poorly by these people despite spending $18,000 on siding for a 1100 sq ft house.

My lord! Did they use tar paper with gold weave, or shingles made with Kevlar?? We had another estimate completed the following day; the price was less than the first, but the gentleman wanted to do a complete "Dog and Pony Show" presentation afterwards. Sorry, but I had to cut the first guy off from his song and dance saga early, and I didn't want another high-pressure sales attempt-- he wasn't too pleased, but he did email me the paperwork the following morning. I was totally prepared for yet a third turgid screed titled, "Our Roof Is Better Than Their Roof!" from anyone coming down the pike, but I'm happy to say that I didn't have that issue with C. L. Wright Roofing! Let me first say I'm not one to write reviews on every little thing, and I'm not trying to blow a ray of sunshine up anyone's pant leg with this one- they did a darn fine job, and they deserve a darn good review! Here is the service breakdown: * The gentleman arrived on time and was polite, with a no-nonsense attitude- being a veteran, I like that! * Within about thirty-five to forty minutes, he had a written estimate in my hand. It had a everything covered: the shingles, paper, the water damaged soffit and hosed gutter that need to be replaced, and a damaged 4' x 8' plywood board that was bad; (we were aware of these before hand) he also noted that the skylight that provided some daytime light to the attic was broken and leaking! Noted on the estimate was that other plywood pieces could be water damaged, and we'd be advised if anymore needed replacing and gave the price of each piece upfront. I did go to the main office and picked out a shingle color; Jo Anne was very helpful, and I was on my way in no time. * The crew arrived on time on the date stated a few weeks later; they were polite, and cleaned up the small stuff as they went. No cigarette butts or personal trash was ever noted, either. * The project was completed on the second day, and the supervisor arrived later that evening. He did a sweep of the property, picking up any remaining rouge construction trash or wrapping, then used a magnetic roller to pick up any nails or metal debris. Afterwards, my wife and I did a walk around the property with him making sure all was good to go-- and it was! The final cost: $6,700.00 That's a far call from the other companies!
