Our experience with the plumbing officials was absolutely amazing. Joe, who we worked with, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We needed a new custom shower installed because the old one was falling apart and wasn't installed properly by the previous homeowners. Joe guided us through the entire process and was always available to answer any questions we had. Additionally, he ensured that all the work was permitted. Unfortunately, we were still experiencing backups in the shower even after the new plumbing was installed. Joe discovered that the old cast iron coming into the house was completely rotten, which was causing the backup. Joe and his team promptly returned and fixed the issue. After a few weeks of hard work, we are finally up and running. Joe and the team at the plumbing officials are truly professional, and their pricing is extremely fair. They have earned our trust and are now our go-to plumbers. read more

I made a call to The Plumbing Officials on yesterday to find out how much it would cost me for them to come out to my home to give me an estimate. I had 3 toilets that was constantly running. I was told that there was no charge for them to come out and give me the estimate. And that statement was very true. They came within the time frame I was given. They were masked up when they enter my home and gave me an estimate to fix and repair. They completed the work in a timely manner. They were very respectful, polite, and attentive to my questions. They took the time to explain and show me what they had repaired. And the cost for the repairs was reasonable it did not cost me an arm and leg. I would recommend them to all my family and friends. And I will definitely use them again. LaVerne J. 12/10/2022 read more

My washer drain was overflowing. Called The Plumbing Officials at 4:30 PM. Mr. Ellis and Zach were at my door at within a couple of hours (they were on a job and came as soon as they were finished). Mr. Ellis was so polite and kind, they were masked up. They assessed the problem and told me they would be at my house the next morning. Sure enough, Mr. Ellis and Zach and Ollie, were at my house ready to go. Again, the whole team is kind and polite - like being with family. The problem was fixed and everything is draining as it should. I HIGHLY recommend this family owned and operated business. Pricing was fair better than I expected. I've got my Plumber now. If you need someone - this team will be there and fixing your issues with smiles and kind words. read more

We were moving our laundry room from the kitchen to the garage and could not find a plumber that would follow through, until I stumbled across the Plumbing Officials. They were amazing. They educated me about the process, quoted a fair price the day they came to look at the job, and completed the work that same day in a matter of hours. I have already shared their info with my network here in Richmond as a Master Plumber is a valuable referral to have. Not only did they knock it out the park, they gave me a number for a Master Electrician who came out the same week and hooked up all the outlets for a fridge and laundry down there. My advice, don't use anyone else if you're in the Richmond Area. Well done PO! read more

I needed immediate attention and called a few places only to get voicemails. When I called The Plumbing Officials, they actually answered and promised a tech that same day, around 2-4:00pm. They came earlier...around 1:00pm. They were professional, considerate, eager to help and listened when I explained what was going on. They provided a few options to fix the issue and I decided to take their recommendation. They were spot on. They fixed my issue, cleaned up their mess and told me the next steps to take to ensure I have no future issues. I was so anxious that I would not find anyone good to help me, but they were honest and knowledgeable!! Would definitely recommend them. read more

I put in a request via Yelp on a Saturday evening and Joseph was at our house on Sunday. When asked if he could do the job today his reply was "Yes!" I needed someone who could do a same day job. On Thursday of that same week, we had an emergency leak and Joseph, who was booked for the day, somehow squeezed us in as we were putting our house on the market the same day. Both times he was kind, timely, competent and worked efficiently. His son who works with him and was just as knowledgeable was a bonus. We have found our FOREVER plumbing company and I will recommend them to anyone. read more

We have called The Plumbing Officials twice, both times with emergency situations not uncommon in older homes. The first time they came out and spent an entire Sunday resolving the issue. For our second emergency (unrelated to the first), they rearranged their schedule to get to us quickly). Their work is excellent and thoroughly explained in advance. Their prices are extremely reasonable with a discount for seniors and they are meticulous about cleanup. We will always use The Plumbing Officials and recommend this family business to anyone needing plumbing help. read more

We have a 2 story house and had a total plumbing replacement. No matter what you do, this is a rough job with cutting lots of drywall and really disruptive to a household. They cut the water off and turned it back on as quickly as possible for the least disruption possible. Further, they have a carpenter on staff so we were able to get the drywall fixed quickly. We also had damage under the house which required some structural changes and the carpenter could manage that too. If I have a plumbing problem in the future, I'll be calling them again. read more

Mr. Ellis and Zak were awesome! Denisha was the one who helped me schedule everything and is super nice and responsive. We originally called them for just a quote on replacing our hot water heater. Turns out they had a unit in stock and could do the installation that very day (we did get another quote, but they were way more $$). Mr. Ellis and Zak worked quickly and left our home spotless! This is the company I'm calling whenever I have a plumbing issue in the future. Great experience!! read more

After a minor water line leak from my water heater, I learned that the Quest pipe running throughout my entire home had been recalled over a decade ago. I can't say enough how glad I am that I had The Plumbing Officials complete the job. Throughout the entire process, I was kept informed of what to expect and when the job would be completed. They were courteous and professional, compassionate and understanding of my situation, and by far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended! read more

I had The Plumbing Officials (TPO) replace 3 toilets in my home. The plumbers that came to house were great! Since TPO provided the toilets and hauled away the old ones, it was a no-fuss installation and as such I'm very happy with the new units that were installed! The price quoted was by far the most competitive of their peers, but the service and speed to get them into to the job was quick and easy. I would not hesitate to use them again for any plumbing needs. read more

Mr. Ellis (business owner) installed new water heater and quickly resolved two smaller plumbing issues, and did so with courtesy, efficiency, and at a reasonable price. (I obtained two other quotes - both higher - before hiring The Plumbing Officials.) office manager Dinessa quickly and positively responded to my telephone inquiries and provided prompt updates about scheduling the work. I enthusiastically recommend The Plumbing Officials to anyone in the RVA area. read more

We've had plumbing issues for years. Had a few others out over the years and they gave us temporary fixes. Plumbing Officials came out and found tile pieces from a remodel 20+ years ago had been tossed into the toilet flange and stuck between pipe connections - the root of the issues all along and no one else had found it! It's hard to find a plumber you can rely on. The Plumbing Officials are the best. They were prompt, professional, and reasonable. read more

Our toilet backed up all over our floor. The Plumbing Officials were so quick to respond, incredibly open about what they intended to do and what the charges would be, and they went above and beyond in their service. Our problem ended up actually being a city problem, but Joe and Zack went out of their way to give us all the info we would need to ensure the city could quickly handle the situation. read more

The Plumbing Officials responded quickly to my message and Joe came by the same day to look things over and give us a very reasonable quote for replacing the valves and flappers in our toilets and one of our sink faucets. When we scheduled the repair, they were prompt, polite and efficient, and got everything working in short order. We will definitely call them again for plumbing needs. read more

The team was quick to respond and schedule my service. Was super helpful in explaining my options and the cost before getting into installation. The toilet lid was broken on the toilet I had bought and Mr. Ellis advised me on what to do and stayed to install the new lid as I ran to Lowe's. Fast service and friendly team. I will be using them for all our plumbing needs moving forward! read more

100% satisfied with Joe's business from blind internet search for a plumber in the Richmond area all the way through completion of the job.
