Sure enough it was chipping quite easily during installation, and my contractor (not Alves) said it would not hold up over time. I returned the product to Alves and they gave me a full refund even though I'm the one who made a bad choice in purchasing the laminate. They were extremely helpful throughout the process, going as far as to listen to my contractor explain the problem with the product (of which they were already aware).
