PAULA'S DONUTS IS A MUST!! Huge shoutout to Kelly Festa,…read moreExecutive Assistant, who made the whole ordering process seamless and honestly kind of magical. I placed a pickup order about a week in advance at Paula's Donuts and everything was smooth, easy, and ready right on time. Now let's talk about the donuts... THEY ARE MASSIVE. Like truly over-a-half-pound each. This is not a subtle pastry situation--this is a full commitment dessert, and I am here for it. I love a supersized, rich, fatty (I like what I like), over-the-top treat I would never attempt to make at home, and Paula's absolutely delivers. Every bite is indulgent in the best way. Must-tries: -Red velvet sticks (not on the standard menu--ask for them!!) -Chocolate peanut sticks -Cheese pockets (glazed donut filled with Danish cream cheese = unreal) -Cannoli-filled donuts (made to order and incredible) -Frycakes And don't sleep on the TEXAS-SIZED donuts, they are showstoppers and would easily replace a traditional celebration cake. Even the cinnamon rolls are gigantic. This place is pure joy. Paula's Donuts will always have my heart, an absolute MUST for locals and anyone visiting the area.

Then when they placed the donuts in the bag, the frosted top was not taken into consideration when bagging. We didn't say anything since they were free. I love the donuts, and the cookies are a great treat (the Smily Face is my favorite). Super busy at times, but are great at making sure everyone gets their turn in order. Old school bakery with cases full of fresh baked treats and loads of bread in the middle of the store. Almond Rings always makes people happy!

I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 11am to a packed parking lot but had no problems getting a parking spot still. Inside the bakery was bustling! People were taking numbers by the door and waiting to be called on by the staff behind the counter. I get into a decision paralysis whenever I'm here with the variety of treats I see and want to try. I was there for probably 20 minutes walking back and forth trying to figure out what I wanted! haha The staff here are always so kind and understanding though, they never make me feel bad or rushed as I figure out what I want. This time I walked out with four treats: an Almond Filled Sweet Roll square, a Mini Pastry Heart, an Almond Horn, and a Buffalo Bills cutout cookie. If you couldn't tell, I love almond so I indulged a bit. The almond filled sweet roll was fluffy and sweet with plenty of almond paste inside, very much what I want from a sweet roll. The almond horn was excellent! This pastry was akin to a danish and filled with plenty of almond paste. The Buffalo Bills cutout was cute with a softness and not dry. The mini pastry heart was delicious, as usual from Eileen's. In addition to my treats, the price was a(nother) treat as well, INCREDIBLY affordable! This visit to Eileen's Centerview Bakery was a great reminder for how awesome this bakery is. From customer service, quality, portions, pricing, all of it is excellent. I look forward to coming back soon and having more decision paralysis trying to figure out what treats I want! haha

I love cannoli's in general, but let's face it the worst part is the hard shell, well Sweet Ally's takes care of that for you, putting it inside a delicious donut! Reasonable pricing too! I may or may not be a little obsessed but they are so good! For weeks I keep meaning to take a picture, but I never remember before devouring them! They only make them on Sundays, but if it is a different day, stop by and enjoy their other selection of donuts, baked goods and candy. This time of year is the perfect time to visit, as right behind them Oakfield has a wonderful Christmas light up Wonderland, and across the street they have 100 decorated Christmas trees! Just don't call it "Angel cream" or the owner will remind you that "only Paula's calls it that."

I remember biting into a crispy on the outside but also fluffy Apple cider donut which really hit the spot. I stopped by at Duke's Donuts today at the NT Farmer's Market. For $10, you get 13 donuts which is a steal! The Apple Cider donuts were as amazing as I remembered them to be! Hands down, one of the best Apple Cider donuts I've had. They had a nice apple flavor to it and weren't overly sweet like other ones I've had. I also had the original sugared donuts. This was my first time having one of them. I really like how fluffy they were but they tasted a little boring and didn't have much flavor to them. Overall, I'm a huge fan of Duke's Donuts. It's a nice little comforting treat to have on a cold day!

Paula's Donuts helped heal me after surgery - seriously. But first, a few words about the best…read moredonuts in the United States. I feel confident that statement is true. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)
