I had a couple drinks at a live music show Ashley Felton and Daniel Bonte and the Bona Fide, I didn't have any food. The sound system was on point, both acts sounded great. The lighting and the sound system was on point with other great venues. This was my first visit to the Tiki Bar. Parking is limited and I had to find street parking a couple blocks away but no issues there. Prices were great, some venues like to gouge you for drinks. $9 for well cocktails $5 for bottled beer. You can't beat that in most venues. Compared to HOB it was a steal and the same level of music and people. Smeller venue but great sound, great energy and great people. Prior reviews that said bright lights and bad drinks I did not experience that at all. The tiki vibe is admittingly lacking there's a sparse amount of tiki related decor but the tiki drink I got was great and strong and cheap! What more can you ask for. The crowd was great except they all scattered like cockroaches when the music ended LOL!

First time at this bar, my best friend's husband was playing in one of the bands so we came to support of course! I really liked the vibe here, such a cool tucked away bar, the parking lot was full so we had to park down the way a bit which was ok! Our bartender was great, I did ask for a lemon drop and my gosh there drinks were strong lol! However he asked if I wanted sugar of course I do, I think I may have been the only one who asks for that drink there lol We had so much fun our bartender was awesome quick with the drinks. Had such a blast, love live music so coming here to watch music made me feel so good and alive! The Raptors were awesome our friends band, The Gringos never heard them but loved it and that was the band our friend's husband played in. Codefendants were amazing absolutely loved them! It was fun going to Costa Mesa and coming here it's been such a long time! Loved this bar can't wait to come back and see more shows. Live music makes me the happiest, I get lost in it and I'm in my own world closing my eyes dancing to the music and feeling it in my bones. Can't get enough of it helps me forget everything! Music is part of my heart and soul and maybe it will heal me! :) All and all this is a great bar good atmosphere they have two pool tables, and some high seating so you don't have to stand the whole time with some tables. They also have an outside patio area for smoking or fresh air also to buy some merch if you would like to. I would recommend this bar, it's good vibes and live music how could you really go wrong? I'm so glad we got invited to such a fun night here! Absolutely come check it out if you like live music Have a badass day :) Aloha

Main thing I liked was the tacos in the outdoor patio. Like really delicious street tacos. $3 per taco but worth. (I like the al pastor and brirra. Chicken if you like healthy, still good.) I ordered like 21 tacos total between 2 people. ***CASH ONLY*** Parking is small. You can park on Newland street if its full. Not a far walk, 2 minutes. There's barely AC. It was hot inside, but cool outside. $10 min for transactions inside. There 2 pool tables. 75 cents per round. I would probably only go back here just for the tacos.

Love the venue for the concert I attended, always support local businesses and bars. This place is a little rough around the edges but would come here for a concert again!

If you're look for a tiki bar this isn't the place. Service was slow. Only thing good was the cold beer and the two beautiful bartenders.

We came here with a small group to watch the World Cup finals. There is plenty of parking in the…read morelots on the side but you can also uber here. They did have uber/lyft pickup at the front door area too. They do have a strict 21 carding rule with no outside food/drinks/items so leave them in your car or they will not allow you in. The place is a typical sports bar with TV's of different sizes mounted in every wall and one projector mounted in the backroom. The TV quality is vary however with the best view and newest TVs in the center area in the back. They do also have pool tables available in another backroom and outdoor seating too. But most were closed off for the World Cup Finals event. The tables are ALL first come first serve so you have to come early for these special sports events! They do open early even though the posted hours said 12pm they actually opened around 11am when the line begins forming. We got a small high top table near the bar for our group of 5. The servers are very fast and attentive here even though they only have a few! They literally make rounds to check on every single table so you're very well taken care of! For the world cup they have a small menu available including all beers on tap and select cocktails. But you could order off menu if you remember the regular menu items. We got the California Burger which was HUGE and a very standard burger served with fries. You literally needed to eat this with a fork and knife it was that big. The meat was cooked well but tasted very standard without much seasoning. Chipotle Chicken Wrap: We upgraded regular fries to sweet potato fries. The wrap was also huge and tasty and probably the healthiest option available. Chicken Wings: Also very flavorful with your choice of sauce. Very standard bar wings with your classic ranch and celery sticks. The atmosphere was VERY loud inside packed full of football fans from both sides. They had set specific areas for Argentina and Spain with flags and jerseys set out with folding tables for overflow seating. Everyone was super respectful regardless of the side and supported each other even on the losing team. This place has a REALLY small bathroom with literally one toilet stall and urine in the mens, and two stalls in the women's so the bathroom line is always long! Overall, a fun place to come hangout to watch a game and enjoy some OK bar food. But the service is excellent and we'll likely come back for future sporting events or just to hangout with friends.

The atmosphere is…read morelaid-back but still feels upscale enough for a night out with friends or drinks after work. Biggest highlight: they offer FREE billiards Monday-Friday until 4 PM with a $15 lunch purchase which is honestly one of the best deals around. Normally it's $15 per hour with a $20 food/beverage minimum. Service was attentive and friendly. There are full-size and bar sized tables and they recently redid the felt last week so everything rolls super smooth and plays great. You can tell they actually maintain the equipment instead of just throwing tables in a corner like some places do. On the downside, i wasn't a huge fan of my expresso martini which didn't actually have expresso in it. They use a coffee liquor so it tasted like diluted coffee. The food was on the pricier side and was just typical bar food/smaller proportions.

Food was tasty, the location is fantastic right on Newport harbor with many tables having a wonderful view of the water and passing boats. Prices are reasonable for a waterfront dinner in Newport. Parking in their lot is valet only with a charge of $25 so not cheap but very convenient. There are lower cost options if you're willing to walk a block or 4 for street or municipal lot parking spaces. Service was good and attentive, especially considering the size of our group, 11 people. Tip is included in large groups. We would return in the future.
