First time at this bar, my best friend's husband was playing in one of the bands so we came to support of course! I really liked the vibe here, such a cool tucked away bar, the parking lot was full so we had to park down the way a bit which was ok! Our bartender was great, I did ask for a lemon drop and my gosh there drinks were strong lol! However he asked if I wanted sugar of course I do, I think I may have been the only one who asks for that drink there lol We had so much fun our bartender was awesome quick with the drinks. Had such a blast, love live music so coming here to watch music made me feel so good and alive! The Raptors were awesome our friends band, The Gringos never heard them but loved it and that was the band our friend's husband played in. Codefendants were amazing absolutely loved them! It was fun going to Costa Mesa and coming here it's been such a long time! Loved this bar can't wait to come back and see more shows. Live music makes me the happiest, I get lost in it and I'm in my own world closing my eyes dancing to the music and feeling it in my bones. Can't get enough of it helps me forget everything! Music is part of my heart and soul and maybe it will heal me! :) All and all this is a great bar good atmosphere they have two pool tables, and some high seating so you don't have to stand the whole time with some tables. They also have an outside patio area for smoking or fresh air also to buy some merch if you would like to. I would recommend this bar, it's good vibes and live music how could you really go wrong? I'm so glad we got invited to such a fun night here! Absolutely come check it out if you like live music Have a badass day :) Aloha

Main thing I liked was the tacos in the outdoor patio. Like really delicious street tacos. $3 per taco but worth. (I like the al pastor and brirra. Chicken if you like healthy, still good.) I ordered like 21 tacos total between 2 people. ***CASH ONLY*** Parking is small. You can park on Newland street if its full. Not a far walk, 2 minutes. There's barely AC. It was hot inside, but cool outside. $10 min for transactions inside. There 2 pool tables. 75 cents per round. I would probably only go back here just for the tacos.

Love the venue for the concert I attended, always support local businesses and bars. This place is a little rough around the edges but would come here for a concert again!

There was an auction fundraiser event here last night and it was a blast. The beer offerings were solid. Mixed drinks flowing and there's a taco stand in the back.

If you're look for a tiki bar this isn't the place. Service was slow. Only thing good was the cold beer and the two beautiful bartenders.

Food was tasty, the location is fantastic right on Newport harbor with many tables having a wonderful view of the water and passing boats. Prices are reasonable for a waterfront dinner in Newport. Parking in their lot is valet only with a charge of $25 so not cheap but very convenient. There are lower cost options if you're willing to walk a block or 4 for street or municipal lot parking spaces. Service was good and attentive, especially considering the size of our group, 11 people. Tip is included in large groups. We would return in the future.

The service was beyond EXCELENT! I had a large group and still EVERYTHING was basically PERFECT! Thank you for the great evening! I would score this place a 10 out of 10. The only negative thing I could give you a heads up is the valet parking. All good for the $10 + tip but they brought the car around and stopped like 3 car links back and walked away (where there is water runoff from the next building that you would literally be stepping in as you load up). When I asked the guy if he was going to bring the car up to the valet station he waved me off.?? and said no? I 100% recommend Billy's! Just don't let the valet ruin your great time!

They were knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and never missed a beat. For drinks, my boyfriend ordered the Zombie and the Guanko Grog, while I enjoyed the Chi Chi Royale and the Nui Nui. Every cocktail was perfectly balanced, beautifully crafted, and deceptively strong. Royal absolutely nailed it. We started with the Spam Musubi, which was delicious. It was so flavorful that it didn't need any extra soy sauce, and we appreciated that it was cut in half for sharing. Later, we ordered the Poke Bowl. It's a bit more salad-forward than a traditional poke bowl, with plenty of fresh greens, but the flavors were spot on and the tuna was incredibly fresh. We also tried the Loco Moco, and I can honestly say it may have had the best gravy we've ever had. It was rich, flavorful, and completely unforgettable. Between the outstanding cocktails, delicious food, and excellent service, this was easily one of the highlights of our trip. We can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu!

We enjoyed the flavors of the steak. The noise level inside the Royal Hawaiian was not bad. We could easily have a conversation at dinner time. The server was fantastic. She was very pleasant to talk to and knowledgeable of the entrees.

The ambiance alone makes it feel like a whole experience, not just drinks. We tried a few of their specialty cocktails, all super well done, but the real highlight was our server John. He was amazing -- attentive, fun, and clearly knows his drinks. At one point he made us an off-menu cocktail that was STRONG (in the best way) and honestly one of my favorites of the night.
