We visited the harp over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised of how nice this place still is. They always have great rock music. You're always close to the action and dancing is right in front of the band. The side door is open if you need to get out and get a breath of fresh air. The bar is off to the side, but you can still see the band. The food here is great. The drink drinks are always good and the bartender seems to be a really cool guy. If you're looking for a good place to catch some live music that's always good. Give this place a try Friday night and Saturday night is great.

Parking is a little tight! And the bar gets so full ! Come early ! The fans here are amazing, the energy the bar brings out is so fun! Waitresses are on top of checking in and bringing out drinks and food quickly. I don't care to much for the food but it's like typical bar food vibes not the best but not the worst. If you're an Eagles fan I'd highly recommend coming here ! But they had other games on while we were there !

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great place to whoop it up on St Paddy's Day. I've only ever been here on St. Paddy's day to meet up with some OC friends, and it's becoming a tradition. As such, it's a great place to hang on that holiday--they really do it up right: friendly servers, music, special food, and merriment all around. We get there early and leave early, but even so it gets very crowded, so I'm not sure how sloppy/ugly it gets later--your mileage may vary. Sláinte!

Was a cool place for St.Patricks day! They had a live band and their music was good. Definitely an older age group compared to many bars on the same street. The drink were pretty cheap and tasted good!

The food was good, not a huge selection but they do some staple items really well. Nice side salad instead of fries. Early dinner/late lunch nearly empty so easy for seating. Have out door seating so May be dog friendly on the outside patio area. Every bit of an Irish pub and they have bands on the weekends. Comfy booths and round top tables. Average table is a 4 top or 6 top. Staff was very nice, she was friendly and her service was great. She checked in on us a few times. I would recommend if you want some traditional Irish Pub dishes.

We got there a little before the game and had plenty of choices for seats. It definitely filled up as kickoff got closer, but with TVs everywhere, this place is pretty much built for watching sports. The food was surprisingly good, plenty of choices, good beer selection, and the service was excellent. Our waitresses were friendly and attentive even as the place got busier. The whole crowd had a fun energy, which made watching the World Cup even better. I've heard Wild Goose really cranks up at night with a younger crowd, but I haven't experienced that side of it yet. For a big sporting event, though, I'd absolutely come back. Great atmosphere, good food, cold beer, lots of TVs, and friendly service. Hard to ask for much more.

I will say the espresso martini was not 5 star, but other drinks were good. We tried the blood orange marg, the spicy strawberry marg, and the cowboy marg. My mom liked the blood orange but the second round did not taste the same as the first. A bit of a consistency issue but she nursed it and finished it. My favorite drink was the cowboy marg. It was on the sweeter side but refreshing. For food. We had an assortment. Standouts were the steak dinner and onion rings! I would come back to try other things. The short rib grilled cheese was mid, but would be great to soak up alcohol. Cassidy was an excellent server, even as it got really busy for a UFC fight. Ambiance is definitely fun and unique. Generally, the experience was good. I would give it another shot to try other food and drinks.

But I was caught off guard by the lack of music and overall how quiet the whole place was. I went on a Friday and there weren't many people there, which isn't bad just something I had noticed. Very stark comparison to the other breweries in the area, which were much more lively. The beers itself were decent; however, there were no prices posted anywhere on the chalk menu, or the paper menu from what I saw. I ordered 2 drinks, one of which needed to have the keg replaced. When the attendant returned she said they were actually completely out, but the drink I had ordered was a double IPA, and without any prices posted or itemized receipt, I wasn't sure what I was able to get instead. The attendant then tells me "if you get something cheaper, I won't change the price" which confused me. A double IPA is typically more expensive than a regular beer or seltzer and she didn't even offer a refund to compensate for the fact that it was sold out and I had already paid for it. This could have been mitigated if the prices were available or she offered me an itemized receipt. For 2 beers I paid $20 before tipping. As a customer I'd like to be informed of what I'm getting charged for, and if I'm charged for something more and given less, I'd like a partial refund. In the end I got my beers and sat down. The brewery itself doesn't serve food, so it was nice being able to bring my own food and est what I want. Again, up until 30 minutes of being there, no music was playing, so very off putting vibe. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience here and don't recommend anyone coming here when other breweries are in tbe area and much more clear with pricing and have a more lively vibe.

Pretty neat heavy, as Irish food tends to be, but there are a few vegetarian friendly options. The chips with malt vinegar are tasty, the vegan nuggets are good, great accompanying sauce. Unfortunately, my recent visit was such a disappointment. Let's start with food. We ordered wings, chips and whipped feta. The wings had clearly been refrigerated and thrown on the grill for a hot second. The fat on them were soft and gelatinous and when I bit into it, the center was hard and super cold. It also smelled like a fridge. We sent them back and asked for a fresh batch but they had just taken the same ones and warmed them up. Very possible they were microwaved. I knew they were the ones I sent back because the wing I had taken a bite out of and spit out was right back on the plate. Then let's get into the chips. They were stale. They advertised them as home made and I don't doubt that but it's like they made them 3 days ago and left them out. They were cold and barely crispy. We sent these back as well and we got a slightly better batch but I wasn't going to argue this with the staff. The saving grace was the whipped feta. This was actually good. Nothing wow but it was edible since the other two items were such a huge let down. Now service. The lady that served us was very very sweet. However, not a great server. She disappeared and we needed to flag down another server for a refill. She was also not the one that we could talk to about our disappointing food. Another server had to come check on us. I don't think I could convince my husband to come back here, let alone spend money on this. It's unfortunate since I was hoping to share a slice of my former Newport stomping grounds with him.

The staff is attentive from the moment you enter, and this morning was particularly busy with limited table availability. Despite this, they promptly acknowledged our presence and exhibited exceptional friendliness and assistance. During the order taking process, they continued to provide helpful guidance. Although the tables were packed I think the ambiance was acceptable. The noise level remained low and the service was swift and quiet. The menu had everything we would want. We had the chicken-friend steak and eggs and briskets and gravy. Eggs were cooked excellently, biscuits were also excellent. Here are my suggestions. Chicken-fried steak - this item tastes and feels like frozen steak pre-breaded and fried - tossed in the microwave and covered with white cream gravy. This item needs to be raised to the level of freshly fried and not in seed oil but in avocado or coconut oil (both are high temp and non-toxic) The gravy is white cream and flavorless - it needs to receive the "drippings" from the fried steak, sausages, or bacon to produce brown gravy with some flavor. This establishment does not have espresso - every other breakfast place in OC does - Breakfast Republic, Poached Kitchen, Cracked Egg, etc. Servers can make good espresso if the espresso machine is automatic like a Jura with two bean trays and a milk reservoir. This is a profit center and most places have a dedicated person who continuously make espresso drinks.
