Passed by this place every morning when it was under construction. I didn't realized it was steady opened. I happen to pass by as free work and saw this place opened and decided To give it a try. They had an opening promo of buy 3 get 1 free so I decided to try all the brown sugar drinks. However the staff put in my order wrong and gave me 2 drinks with cream mousse instead of the regular brown sugar milk. I ended up with 2 brown sugar with cream mousse, 1 brown sugar black tea and 1 brown sugar green tea. The black and green tea definitely does not taste like there was any brown sugar. It is more of a regular boba in black and green tea. There was not even a slight flavor of brown sugar. In fact it didn't taste like they added any sugar. I didn't omit sugar or change the level of sweetness so I'm not sure if they put in the wrong order or it was mislabeled in the menu. The brown sugar boba with cream mousse was definitely better. You can taste the sweetness from the brown sugar. This place is small and it share a space with what looks like a make your own noodle place. Although there wasn't really a long line when I was here the foot traffic made it crowded. One thing is to definitely mix the brown sugar boba when you get it. I left it as is in the bag and by the time I got home the brown sugar solidified and didn't mix into the drink. But the tea was fine as there wasn't any brown sugar in it.

Order delivery via Chowbus today. We didn't have high expectations since this place has low ratings and a few friends said it was just bakery tasting bubble tea with a higher price. We wanted to try it anyways and glad we did. Their customer service was quick and professional, reason of a 5 star rating. Customer service: 5 Taste: 4 Ordered: - Brown sugar pearl milk w/cream mousse - 4 - Sun moon lake black tea - 4 both with less sugar and less ice The store immediately called once order was confirmed to advise they do not have hot brown sugar pearl milk available and if changed to a cold drink was ok or wanted a different drink. They even made sure how I would like it served cold (ice and sugar level). Very sincere, apologetic and professional customer service. The brown sugar pearl milk was better than bakery bubble tea. It didn't taste water down nor put too much milk like a lot of places do. Still could taste the brown sugar and tea flavor and the boba was fresh. My drink didn't have any cream mousse or it may have melted cause of distance of delivery but have ordered delivery numerous times from a very popular bubble tea place with cream mousse and never had melted before. It's a solid 4 star drink, may be better if ordered in person. Sun moon lake black tea was smooth, refreshing and has a nice mild distinct tea taste. I would prefer it to be a bit stronger in tea flavor but not sure was it cause of the delivery distance the ice melted and diluted it to a mild tea taste or not. To me it has a slight cardamom taste at the end. I would order again but would like try ordering it in person after this pandemic.

I have been trying the brown sugar bubble w milk all of flushing. This is one of my favorite bubble tea. I went to try tiger hill for few time. At first time the bubble is very soft and fresh. I thought when the beginning of open business every store has the same fresh. But I have tried for few time I always get the same stable soft and chewed! Plus always get the good experience with the cashier. Highly recommend

    Is this even milk???

Just, no. I got their signature brown sugar boba with cream mousse. Wasn't milky at all and taste more like ghetto used skim milk. Not enough brown sugar flavor either. For $6, I'd rather go to Tiger Tea or Tiger Sugar. Also the milk looks like they used milk powder vs. real milk.

This is absolutely gross I almost choked on a hair that was inside my milk tea!!! The cleanliness of this place is not good.

Their signature fresh boba is what makes their bubble tea stand out from the rest--the "bubbles" are made from cassava starch otherwise known as tapioca pearls or balls--soaked then cooked and sweetened in a brown sugar syrup. Here they have a whole wok full of these, and they're super soft, incredibly chewy and bouncy, on the sweeter side compared to some other chains, but not too cloyingly so. Their menu consists of a number of a bubble tea and coffee drinks, mostly with milk though some without, you have an option of regular milk, lactaid milk (+$0.50) or oatmilk (+$1.00). Two sizes regular or large (+$2.00) and add-ins for +$0.50 more of the following: Brown Sugar Boba Strawberry Boba Taro Boba Honey Jelly Herbal Jelly Milk Foam Matcha Shot (+$1.00) I got their regular brown sugar boba and it was a treat! Like I mentioned above, the bubbles are sooo good! Prices are on the higher side $7.99 for a regular size, it made me really miss the days of $3.75 regular-sized drinks! After ordering it took about 7-8 minutes to be ready considering the store was really busy. Note: the brown sugar boba milk tea is where they line the cup with brown sugar syrup in addition to adding boba. Technically their standard boba milk tea is without the additional sugar syrup but since the boba are already cooked in brown sugar, there's no true option of getting unflavored boba without brown sugar. Like most boba stores in NYC, the shop isn't very big, just enough space for a small line to form for ordering and then waiting to pick up drinks. All customers are taking these to go, there's no room or seats to linger.

In case you're wondering what happened to Molly Tea:…read more Here's the Real Tea (per Google): The "Molly Tea scandal" is an international franchise dispute involving the Shenzhen-based parent company of the trendy Chinese tea chain and its US franchise operators. A court injunction barred the US operators from using the brand's trademarks, forcing a viral rebrand to "? Tea" in New York. Headquarters' Allegations: According to court documents, the corporate office revoked the operators' trademark rights after claiming: - Unauthorized Expansions: The US operator opened a Los Angeles location without prior corporate approval. - Unapproved Ingredients: The franchise was sourcing ingredients independently, violating strict corporate quality and recipe standards. - Hiding Profits: Headquarters accused the operators of voiding their contract by allegedly hiding store revenues and bypassing royalty payments. The Franchisee's Perspective: The US operators disputed the claims. Before the courts stepped in, franchisees alleged that corporate HQ had attempted to aggressively renegotiate the ownership equity, attempting to slash the operator's share from 80% to 30% after the US locations proved highly lucrative. Current Status & Rebranding: Due to the legal injunction, the affected stores were forced to scrub the name "Molly Tea" from their storefronts, uniforms, and delivery apps. The operator complied by covering up the logos and using hand-drawn question marks on cups, quickly earning the nickname "? Tea" among fans.
