It said open on yelp but closed. I would have liked trying something new. The door didn't have hours open posted either.

Fifth and Fire is ABSOLUTELY LEGIT .... I had smoked sausage, pulled pork and brisket…read more The smoked sausage had the absolute right amount of spice. The pulled pork was juicy, not dry like most places. And the brisket as off the chain!!!! Sit at the Bar and my man Ryan will make you the BEST Ole Fashion this side of the Mississippi. Just like he made for his grandma. Fifth a Fire is now on my list of MUST HAVE stops while I'm on the road. And as always .... Don't forget the Banana Pudding!!!

Trust your gut!!…read more I had always told myself that if you ever go to a bbq spot, one of the requirements before entering is that you should smell BBQ smoke. FROM NOW ON, I WILL NOT DEVIATE FROM THAT SAYING. I stopped by this place and when I got out of my vehicle, I stopped and looked at the store front and said......this is a bbq spot !?? No bbq smell nor smoke. Himnnn. Ok. So I proceed inside......no BBQ SMELL EITHER. internally, red flags popped on. I talked to this young lady who had ordered Togo and I asked if she had eaten here before and she said it's her first time too. I wished I had gotten her number so I could have asked how did she like it. Anyways, ambiance and service was fine. The food was not on par for my liking. I had sausage and Brisket and my sides were beans and potato salad. The meats lacked BBQ SOUL in my opinion. The beans were great and the potatoe salad was terrible ( like the potatoes were not fully cooked.;They were hard just not hitting) Will go find another spot in town. I wanted some good bbq and I am left with a unsatisfied need for bbq. Thanks.

Today I liked the service of my chef who covered for the waiter. Burger cooked nice and medium juicy. Also order"half n half" onion rings and fries. With unsweetened tea. The burger was nice except wish the bun was toasted as it was cold. The fries were nice hot crispy. However the onion rings were soggy and greasy today. Sigh. Wasn't busy either. Hmm. Total with $18 with tip $22. Nice try e server helped me out with getting cash. Yes- defiant still CAsH ONLY business. Sigh today.

Someone mentioned to me that The Sports Center here has fried chicken that tastes very close to Dairyland which has a distinctive taste. I visited and was a little disappointed that there's no fried chicken as stated however the burgers are just as amazing as Dairyland's in my hometown. If you want laidback, chill peaceful setting with great food, this place is it. My burger was not only huge but very tasty. The service was great and the server connected with everyone that walked through the door as if she knew them. I loved that part. I enjoyed my time there and will return.

Takes a little finesse getting into this precarious parking area. A chain. Today service was friendly and gave me suggestions on sauces. This is my 2nd time at a Wingstop and I'm just. It a fan overall. Today was a $70 special for boneless wings. They're like little chunks of fried breast meat. Very well seasoned. But try to get with sauces on side. I have yet to like any of their sauces as there are so many to try. Either over salty or grainy texture. Have tried Parmesan garlic/ lemon pepper/ hot honey / and new limited Mexican corn flavor. At this location YOu get to spin a wheel for FREE item as long as you fill out a survey. Cashier was friendly to explain how to signup and fill out. You gave tone somewhat computer savvy to fill these surveys out. I actually like my free 5 cuts of corn prices deep fried and sprinkled with the medicine corn flavoring. That was an enjoyable moist tender fried corny bites. My other complaint is there are NO trash cans inside the facility...you have to exit outside to a curbside trash can to Throw away your trash. No wonder so many people seem to leave their trash in the tables. Today was just okay. Liked my service and the fried hot corn! They're chicken bites. Just okay.

Southern charm, incredible lunch, legendary desserts, and truly wonderful service…read more Boll Weevil is one of those places that feels like you stumbled into something special. From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.
