My favorite pho place in Augusta. Authentic Vietnamese food. I usually get the spring rolls and bun bo hue. The spring rolls are always fresh and the bun bo hue tastes amazing. I was looking for a place to eat with a few co-workers, and we stumbled upon this place. I can always go for a Pho or Banh mi sandwich, so the decision was easy. After we got there, we were greeted and seated quickly. They brought some water and gave us a few minutes to review the menu and decide on our appetizers and entrees. I inquired if they had vegetarian broth, but unfortunately, they did not, so it made my decision to get a Tofy Banh Mi very easy. While all their ingredients are fresh, I wish the sandwich had come with a side sauce and was a little dry. Having never been to a Vietnamese restaurant, my co-worker got some pretty good recommendations, and he loved it. My other co-worker wanted to customize some of the spring rolls, and they were happy to do so since all the ingredients were fresh. Walked in expecting excellent food left disappointed. Food was ok. Prices are expensive. The service was awful and I hate to say that as years ago I worked in F&B...service leaves a whole lot to be desired. Server barely noticed we were there. Took 45 minutes to get our food. --Location/Parking-- In a small plaza on Washington road next to the Walmart. The location has several parking spots, which is easy to find. Only difficulty is if you are traveling east ward back to Riverwatch. It can be difficult to navigate through traffic. --Ambience-- Typical dining area with no frills. Simple and easy to clean. I saw only 2 or 3 people there at 11am. Easy to walk in and order. I took my order to-go so I didn't hang around there for long --Service/Staff-- The staff was friendly and explained the food and what is in it. I wish I got there earlier, because they had some desserts or baked goods in a cabinet in the front which was sold out. --Food/Products-- I order the banh mi which is a baguette sandwich with your choice of protein. Bread was okay, not fresh and the sandwich is really good for the area. For a banh mi, it is quite pricey, but for getting a banh mi in Augusta is quite rare. I also order a noodle dish, which was a crispy egg noodle mixed with a vegetable soup and chops of chicken. Classic noodle dish which you can't go wrong with. --Capacity-- 10-12 tables, which can sit a party of 4 to 2 people. There were plenty of seats when I came in the afternoon. --Overall-- I recommend this place for Vietnamese food. The sandwich was quite tasty, the location can be a bit troublesome with traffic. Have gotten diarrhea and nausea from here twice now. Customer service is downright creepy and the kitchen staff always comes out to scowl at customers. Food quality is impressively variable. Some days are fab, and others are cruel. I called asking them to remake food that made me sick the day before and they refused. Not a good sign. read more

I've had positive experiences with Banh Mi Dang in the past, so I brought my (immigrant Southeast Asian) parents here to try it out. Note that they are not Vietnamese, but they thoroughly enjoyed the food here and actually came here on their own accord without me a few days later. The meat was bursting with flavor, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. We ordered the crispy fried noodles with beef, pork skewers, goi cuon (spring rolls), house special pho, strawberry boba, five spice banh mi. The mediocre: - house special pho: broth didn't have a lot of flavor. Tasted bland. - strawberry milk boba: just ok. Boba was undercooked. Actual milk drink tastes artificial and like it came from a powdered mix. The great: - crispy fried noodles with beef: loved the crispy and crunchy texture of the noodles. The beef and seasonings were okay, but the noodles definitely made up for them. - pork skewers: SUPER well-seasoned. I really wanna know how they season this so I can try to recreate it at home, but of course that wouldn't be a great business tactic for them. - goi cuon: had the same type of pork inside as the pork skewers, so had a lot of incredible flavor. Loved it. - five spice banh mi: easily the best value item on this list. Meat is well-seasoned, portions are generous, and you get a balanced meal in one easy sandwich. Baguette bread is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The classic banh mi experience. I will continue to bring my patronage here, despite the 25 minute drive for me. Delicious food and MUCH improved service since my last review and that makes me so happy! I've since become obsessed with their pork banh mi (the char siu and pork skin as well as grilled pork), grilled pork rolls, and honeycomb cake. Their banh mi is made with delicious bread, fresh veggies and the meats are juicy and high quality. Banh mi Dang's caphe sua da coffee is also strong and not overly sweet or diluted. Another plus for Banh mi Dang is the online ordering - you can order in the restaurant, phone, or online for takeout. And of course, you can also eat in. There have been times in which I've ordered takeout, but decided to stay in and eat - they still made sure I was taken care of at my table. Congrats, Banh mi Dang. I seriously never write Yelp reviews, but specifically had to for Banh mi Dang. I have to go every single time I'm back in town visiting my parents. If you like Vietnamese food, COME HERE. Everything I've tried on the menu is phenomenal. They offer things you can't find on the menu of Viet places in big cities such as Bun Rieu. I also love their Banh mi, pork vermicelli bowl, pho of course. Also, their honeycomb cake is so so so good, I always have to finish with that. Seriously this place is better than places in major cities. Next time you're looking for something new, definitely check out and support this local biz. read more

Decided to try out the restaurant and ordered the Grill Chicken with white rice, however, the favor was mediocre. The chicken was precooked and reheated, (probably a day old, the way it tastes). From my perspective, it doesn't take that long to cook a pre-marinated uncooked piece of thigh meat. Gave it a try but probably won't go back. So far best Vietnamese restaurant in Augusta! Restaurant can be a little hard to spot since it is tucked away in the corner of the shopping plaza. Initially, went to try the banh mi, but upon entering the establishment the smell of the beef soup overcame me and I had to try the pho. The soup is delicious with nice deep flavor, which keeps making you want to go in for another sip. The noodles are cooked perfectly, initially thought they were a little under cooked, but as they soaked in the soup they became a perfect consistency. The other person I was with got the crispy noodles, which looked and tasted great. Really looking forward to returning to try the banh mi and have some more pho. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for good Vietnamese food in Augusta. I have been to 2 other Vietnamese restaurants I Augusta and so far this is the best! read more

Service was prompt. Food suggestions were perfect. The only thing wrong was we didn't take pictures to post. We ordered spring rolls, egg rolls, and pork BBQ skewers to start. Springs rolls were fresh and had a nice chew to them. The egg rolls were crunchy and full of meat. The pork BBQ was a surprise hit. The flavor profile was on point, with some charred bits and a nice bite of onion. It was a favorite all around the table and a reason to return. Even without the BBQ, we would be coming back for the banh mi. The fresh bread, snap of the fresh veggies, you just can't go wrong. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pho and a wide noodle dish. My husband and I stopped in for the first time today. First of all, I wanted to try EVERYTHING on the menu. It all looked so good. We had the tofu spring rolls as an appetizer and they were delicious. My husband had a chopped salad and I had the tofu pho. We LOVED what we ordered. Stopped by heard about this place from some coworkers so had to check it out. Got the fresh spring rolls, beef pho with filet and crunchy beef, as well as a banh mi with BBQ pork. The sandwich bread is probably the most authentic I've had in this area. Crispy French bread that's soft in the middle. not sure if we got the wrong one, I was expecting char sui pork but it had grilled pork inside...stil had great flavors though. Wish there was a little more filling and pickled veggies. Pho broth was delicious and liked the meat that came with it, the beef is not really crunchy since it goes into the broth. I started coming here for the banh mi and their rainbow dessert, but then I started to hear good things about the pho and other dishes they had. I came back with some friends to try their entre dishes. I ordered the Vietnamese pork ham banh mi and split the pho and bun rieu (crab noodle soup) with some friend, and they tasted so similar to what I could get back in the Atlanta/Duluth area. The food was fresh and came out fairly quickly. There was some confusion with some of our orders since it was a larger group of us, but it was quickly resolved. It's a little far from me, but I will be coming here whenever I'm craving pho when I have time. read more

I felt the Five Spice pork sandwich was not as good as the Pork BBQ. There was a lot less meat on it, the meat was fatty and there was some spicy flavor involved. The Pork BBQ on a stick which I tried before was still delicious. I actually stuffed my somewhat lacking Five Spice Pork sandwich with some of it. It changed the flavor profile for the better. The Spring rolls were a bit different in shape and contained some meat. I'm not used to anything other than shrimp in them. The flavor was good though. I do enjoy the food from Banh Mi Dang. The items are priced very reasonably and I'm happy to have found an exceptional spot for freshly made Vietnamese food nearby. read more

This place is one of the smaller Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, but it's definitely one that I keep coming back to. Their Pho and Banh Mi Sandwiches are very reasonably priced. I've been to quite a few handfuls of Vietnamese restaurants around Georgia and their Banh Mi is my favorite. Their bread is always crispy and the meat inside the Banh Mi is well seasoned and not too fatty. Phenomenal place. I rarely post this positive of a review but the service level and food quality were fantastic. In particular, one of their team members not only made the experience feel like fine dinning, they did it with a smile and positive attitude rarely seen.
