Finally tried Thai Kitchen after a coworkers recommendation and I was very impressed! We got the spring rolls, papaya salad, gang garie curry, and pad Thai. The spring rolls were crispy, had an excellent flavor and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The papaya salad was AMAZING! We got the "Thai style" and a level 3 on the heat meter. They were NOT messing around with the spice!! It was good, but I'll probably opt for a Level 2 next time. The gang garie curry was so so so good! We also got a Level 3 spice on this dish and it was perfect! The pad Thai was decent, but it was probably my least favorite dish we ordered. It was good, but I'm more of a drunken noodle person, so we will be trying that out next time we order. A favorite place for my friends and I to grab dinner and catch up. It's not a large restaurant so seating is limited. That being said I don't think we've ever had to wait. I appreciated the street food menu and will be back to try more of those dishes. I wasn't blown away here the way I was when I visited Fuji Asian a few weeks ago. The two restaurants have similar menus (the street food is unique to Thai Kitchen) and seem connected. Pad-ped: nice flavor, but I was hoping for more bamboo shoots. I ordered a level 4/5 spicy and it was nicely spiced but I would probably go 5/5 spicy next time Tofu vegetable soup - generous on the tofu and veggies in a light broth. My kids love this at both Thai Kitchen and Fuji Tom Kha soup - The broth was creamy and flavorful and delicious but I wished for more soup ingredients. I'd expected some veggies but in the tofu Tom kha it was just cubed tofu and a couple slices of mushroom floating in the soup. We were seated right away on a Friday evening. The service was very good. We weren't rushed as we needed extra time to review the menu. There are various options to fit anyone's taste. Came in to order a to-go meal for my first time here. Placed the order at the window and it came out within 10-15 minutes. The two employees I encountered were helpful and patient. Two meals served with rice(white, brown or fried), an appetizer and a Thai tea came out to just under $40. It was definitely enough to eat twice on each meal. The flavor of each of our dishes was good and the spice level 4 of 5 was not too spicy overall. Next time I may opt for the level 5 for some heat. The Thai tea was also pretty good and priced well compared to the last restaurant I ordered one. As soon as I walked into this establishment, I felt the energy of a family business coming to life. Surrounded by art, cuisine, and the ambience of one of the most beautiful southeastern Asian countries, I found myself in a restaurant I know I would be returning to! I know the family personally that owns the establishment, and their customer service is always worth five stars. This restaurant has gone downhill. I've been a regular customer for at least seven years. The prices have nearly doubled and the quality of the food has diminished. They used to give a small piece of cake for dessert with the lunch special, then only a piece of store bought candy, now nothing. Today I ordered Pad Thai and asked for plenty of raw bean sprouts. It came with none. I had to ask for them again. The salad roll was not cut into bite sized pieces the way it used to be, it was in big hunks. I think I'll try other Thai restaurants. read more

Food is fantastic and very authentic. Levels of spice are made to order. Drunken noodles are fantastic! I ordered a level 5 spice and it was awesome! The heat was not unbearable and it lingered a bit after eating. The frog legs were exceptionally tender and cooked perfectly with a light breading. The sauce was a little sweet but could be dialed into a heat level by using the chili sauces on the table. Definitely a returning visit soon! read more

We ordered takeout from this establishment..... Just appetizers, really. We ordered the chicken wings, Tom yum soup, and chicken laab. The prices seemed very reasonable to me and everything was packaged well I enjoyed the laab very much. It tasted authentic to me. I thought the soup was a bit too sweet for my preferences. There weren't any straw mushrooms or scallions to mention. I was disappointed by that. T there were only tomatoes and birds of chicken. Hubby ate the chicken wings but says they were a bit ordinary. I hope to try more dishes from this restaurant before I leave town. Thai is one of our favorite cuisines! But was still hopeful and some of our favorite places are a hole in the wall type places We ordered curry and a pad Thai dish, which is very common and hard to go wrong with . To say, we were disappointed as an understatement . The noodles were dry with no flavor at all and didn't taste anything like the pad Thai we've had . The curry was also good of flavor. Came here to celebrate after finals were done. I got the stir-fried flat noodles and they were really good. The lunch special is SUCH a good deal. You get a decently sized entrée and a spring roll. Also picked up some calamari and they were thicker than other places and I definitely liked that a lot more. Great lunch portion, Mon - Fri. We are here all the time and I always forget to check-in. We also order to-go quite often. Be sure to try the mango sticky rice when it's in season. They offer lots of great duck dishes. Keep in mind, duck is served with the fat layer still on. Basil duck, red curry duck, 3-Flavors duck, all delicious!! Went here today for the first time because I found it on Yelp and it's about 4 miles from home. Based on the reviews my mouth was watering. Agh.....Pad Thai dry and no flavor. The other noodle dish we ordered was DRY and tasted kind of burnt like it was a day old and they re-cooked it, it all tastes like it was frozen and reheated. The reason I hate that it was disappointing because I chose this place over my husband's request. It's like betting on opposite teams and your team loses. I should've just walked next door to Kroger and bought the ingredients and made it myself. The apps are definitely frozen store bought. I ordered the chicken volcano, which was like sweet and sour chicken so I would not order that again, that's my fault though. It was good, just not my preference. I've been coming here for years...best Thai food in Augusta. I've never gotten just 1 dish from here, it's usually 3-4 entrees and the crunchy spring rolls are a must-get item!! The noodle dishes are perfectly mixed with the noodles chewy and meat seasoned and flavorful. I usually get the shrimp pad thai and chicken drunken noodles. Recently started adding the massuman curry with chicken. It has a slightly sweet taste (which actually isn't a bad thing for this dish) so I usually get extra spicy to balance out the sweetness. Avocados and potatoes give it a creaminess and cashews give it a nice crunch! Once in a while I'll add swimming angel to my order if I'm feeling peanut-Ty (see what I did there?! Lol) but it's got shrimp and chicken in a curry-peanut based sauce . My usual orders are so good that I'll stray once in a while but everything is so good that Ill probably get to the point of ordering 5 dishes for only 2 of us! Also, I order so much from here that when they don't answer because they're on the other line, they call me back! That's service right there! The steamed vegetables are cooked perfectly. Each vegetable kept it's own unique taste & fresh texture. Not a slurry, like many places serve. It has been a few years since I've been here (I used to love their pad thai). I stopped by today and Wednesday because I was making my usual stop at Kroger. I saw they had lunch for $6.95 and that includes rice, egg roll, and a drink. Guess what? Pad Thai was on that menu. I ordered it both days. I called my order in so I wouldn't have to sit around looking awkward. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes both times and it was. I got the chicken pad Thai and it was really good. It had small bits of chicken and peanuts, I drizzled a little lime on it and it balanced the sweetness of it. The roll was small, but it was crispy. I have no complaints at all. We decided to try this place on a recommendation of a friend. I was slightly disappointed. The service was good but English is definitely not their first language. They sell beer which was a plus. However, the selection is one Thai beer and one Chinese beer. I got the G1 curry. It was ok. Their curry was watery, and lacking flavor. It's been pretty difficult for us to find places we really like. But this place has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants to eat at. My husband and I usually order takeout when we order from here. It's definitely become the restaurant we can order from that we know won't disappoint us.
