I came here for a late lunch with a friend. This place was highly recommended but I kept my expectations low as Thai can be a hit or miss. We got the massaman curry and pad kee mow (drunken noodles). The massman curry was mediocre; the pineapples weren't sweet so the blandness took away from the flavor. The drunken noodles however were enjoyable to eat and properly spiced for Thai spice level. I wouldn't say they were amazing but good, which is why I gave a 3-star. Ambience wise, it is nothing special but the service was great! Our waitress was very sweet and patient.

Got to eat in this time, food is even better than the last time getting it fresh out of the kitchen. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Combo rice, not enough meat, small portions

The good: Service was nice, timely. Food tasted good, not amazing, but good. The bad: the portions were EXTREMELY small. Like less than a lunch portion at other restaurants. And pricy for how much you receive. I got the chilli duck. It did NOT look like the picture. The picture had a ton of duck on it with all the fixings. What I received was what looked like boiled duck slices, not roasted and I swear there was like 8 small slices on the plate with mostly onions and bell peppers. I took a picture after I ate one slice cause it was so crazy small to me. Especially with paying I think 18$ for it. I ordered mild and there was no spice in it. I had my family with me and all of the plates were small portions. We bought the rice with all the meat in it and there was 2 pieces of shrimp in the whole thing, 5 pieces of small beef and like 3 small pieces of chicken. A bit was taken before that photo as well, but that's it. The rice was prolly the best tasting thing, really good. Again wish there was more of it. We got it to share, it was way too small to. My daughter ordered the yellow curry which had hard and uncooked in the middle potatoes. And tiny little pieces of chicken in it. Taste of the actual curry was good though. There was more onion than chicken and potatoes. Dry crunchy if you like that. My husband got the beef dish, he said it tasted like beef and broccoli, and again barely any meat. Not bad, just not what he was expecting. We paid 77$ plus tip. It was maybe worth 35$ to me. 77$ in this economy is crazy for those portions. We were all still hungry afterwards and bought more food somewhere else.

Pad Thai, Thai tea, sticky rice and mango, sticky rice and taro

I was introduced to this restaurant at the Arts in the Heart of Augusta. At the festival they had the Thai food tent. Every day I would order Thai tea, mango and sticky rice, as well as pad thai, which is one of my all-time favorite foods. After learning that they had an actual restaurant, I vowed that I would stop by to try them out. One evening went in the area. I stopped at the restaurant and I feel like I ordered the entire menu. Lol. I ordered chicken pad Thai , egg rolls, mango and sticky rice, taro and sticky rice, and Thai tea. It was all top-tier. I enjoyed every bite of everything that i had to eat it slowly to savor the flavor. In the near future, I plan to sit down in the restaurant to see what's their best seller and possibly try that.

Pad woon sen

Good food but not the best I have had. This is a solid 4 out of 5. The Thai tea was too sweet, but the Tom Yum was amazing! The pad woon sen had a slightly sweet flavor which was unusual. The green beans were very bitter and pushed to the side.

Green tea

Highly recommend this place. It's is very authentic Thai food. A must have is the Green Chia tea. The food was superb from the Phat Thai to the Red Curry. The curry was very creamy with the right amount of spice leave to the huge shrimp that was in the Phat Thai. The service was excellent and very fast.

Service was excellent. Even with current warnings that service and food may be slow due to short staffing our entire meal was very timely. Our server took the time to explain various dishes and give recommendations based on our preferences. We were very pleased with her suggestions. I absolutely loved the drunken noodles, very flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. My husband had the Thai basil koa pad and it was also delicious. It had a very smoky robust flavor. The only let down for us were the sausage stuffed wings. They were good, but we have previously been spoiled by much larger Hmong style stuffed wings that fill the whole flat portion with stuffing so these just seemed small to us. Overall very delicious meal and we will definitely be back.

I went to this place hoping to have some good Thai food. The entire experience was disappointing- the server had no smile and was holding on to the corner of my menu while I was still looking over it...she was in such a rush. ( there were only 4 other occupied tables - it was not busy) The spring rolls were all dough and hardly any filling. The soup tasted as if it came out of a can and the vegetables that they used were most definitely frozen. I was hoping at least my entree would be somewhat palatable...big assumptions.... I had ordered something very simple, Pad Thai - which is a very simple dish to make. It was awful. Zero flavor ... actually it had the flavor of spoiled shrimp. I absolutely did not continue eating this and asked for it to be removed. The server and "manager" got quite hostile. I tried to quietly explain to them that we were not satisfied with our food - they said we could just leave but we were FORCED to pay. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHE EVEN SAID TO LOOK AT THEIR WEBSITE ON THEIR FOOD POLICY. THEY MUST HAVE A-LOT OF DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER IF THEY NEED TO PUT THIS TYPE OF DISCLOSURE. BEWARE IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR FOOD - TOO BAD EVEN IF IT'S SPOILED, YOU WILL STILL BE FORCED TO PAY FOR IT. FAR FROM "AUTHENTIC"

Ambience. B Service. A Food. A Price. A Yea! Thanks Sawasdee for moving from South Carolina to Augusta. Found on busy Washington road in large shopping center surrounded by other businesses. LOTS of Private parking lot spaces. Ambience is very mom n pop shop. Lots of Thai kitch and posters and Thai merchandise around to sell. They even have largerestaurant buckets for $3 when you enter. Too funny. Well, server was ultra friendly and helpful with the menu and information. AN authentic Thai restaurant as another option for true authenticity. When I look in the kitchen and see the owner Veen? And most workers are Asian, I'm looking forward to the meal. Lunch specials served Mon - Thurs 11:00 - 3:00. All under $10. People might think small portions but just right size for my appetite. If you want larger portions , just order off the main menu. Ordered pad Thai and came with a small fried spring roll. The noodles were cooked with ThaI HOT as my request. Perfect heat with nicely stir fried noodles in the sauce and nice fried tofu bites. $8.55 On side I ordered the fried pork stuffed flat wings !!! Oh, my...what a new unique way to eat chicken wings!!! Delish. 5 for $9.95 I found out they make their own Roast Duck!!! I asked if she would sell me a whole Duck, but she doesn't have it avail to buy that way...too bad. Maybe if we all keep asking ! Heh They have Apple Pay. No Amex... I will be back!!! I'm a fan

This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Augusta My mother and I love coming here. Just ordered for my husband and I. It's a small business and the food is delicious! I love feeling like I'm walking into a different space. I appreciate that the names of the food are not altered, but that's my culturally curious nature talking. There are descriptions of food items and pictures if you're not familiar with Thai food. The food tastes authentic and I love the plating of the food. I don't have any complaints honestly. I come here as often as I can and when I'm craving a more homemade flavor, I come here. By the way, Ms. Vina is amazing. I always see her here. She works so hard in the front of the restaurant. Recommended dishes: Pad Thai noodles (ND1) Piew Waan with Chicken (SF2) Pad Ka-Na (SF3) Pad Prik with Chicken (SF4) Satay (A6) Sawasdee Spring Rolls (A8) Gyoza (A12)

Green curry.

Food was good. Had green curry and drunken noodles. But now you don't get even a tiny egg roll. If you want egg roll you have to get an order which is like 11.00 bucks which is Ridiculous. Ordered satay and it was tiny for 11.00.

Coconut Soup.

I can't say this will be a go to often as $50 isn't cheap but it was so delicious! The place was slow for a Saturday afternoon, as I said but a lot of tables were full and it was relatively quiet. Got the grilled chicken & steak, which was solid. The grilled chicken had a great char flavor, while the steak tasted like something you'd eat at a hibachi restaurant. The fried rice wasn't oily or dry, best part was how's the portion was. Got a side of 6 piece gyoza which was meat and vegetable filled; that was also non oily and fried just right. Took about 7-8 minutes for the order to come out which was a fast then around. Plenty of room for dining & facilities were pretty clean. They also have other menu items like bubble teas and ramen. Definitely a diverse menu, will certainly be back.

After browsing their menu online, I called in a to-go order and headed over. The restaurant wasn't too busy when I arrived, which made for a smooth pickup experience. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming, and multiple people checked to make sure I had been helped while I waited for my food. The dining area was clean, spacious, and had a relaxed atmosphere that made me wish I had more time to dine in. Their menu is packed with options, pho, traditional Vietnamese dishes, seafood, vegetarian choices, honestly, narrowing it down was the hardest part of the visit. I was looking for something lighter without a mountain of noodles or rice, so I ordered the Seafood Stir Fry. This was easily one of the freshest and most flavorful Vietnamese meals I've had in a long time. The bowl was loaded with crisp vegetables and plenty of seafood, all perfectly seasoned and cooked. It came with rice on the side, but the portion was so generous and satisfying that I barely touched it. The prices were reasonable, the portions were large, and the service was excellent from start to finish. If you're in the Augusta area and craving flavorful, fresh Vietnamese food, Pho Viet Augusta absolutely deserves a spot on your restaurant list.

The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean. The food was fresh and delicious! The short ribs were absolutely amazing. The tofu was not our cup of tea but that was due to the actual texture of tofu and nothing to do with the restaurant. We'd never had tofu before and wanted to try it. Now we've tried it! I would go back again and try the other types of bulgogi they offer.

The bean sprouts were a bit salty. Chili cucumber was well seasoned and refreshing, and the sliced fish cake was the highlight with a slight sweet and sesame oil flavor. Each dish supposedly comes with a banchan, but if you eat with another person, then you get 1 set of banchan only with 1 refill and additional refills cost $2.50 which was different from most cities I have been to with a more established asian food scene (Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, etc). jjajangmyeon 4/5: The jjajangmyeon had decent portions. The noodles were really nice and chewy, and the sauce on top had a slight sweetness to it that made it different from the chinese jiajiang mian I normally eat. There were plenty of zucchini and onion pieces, and the pork was tender and just a bit fatty which I enjoyed. Highlight of the meal. Kimchi Jjigae 3/5: The kimchi jjigae comes with kimchi, tofu, and pork pieces in a stew and a side of rice. The stew itself comes out piping hot but is almost 90% kimchi and minimal tofu and pork. Very few pieces of tofu and pork, unlike the jjajangmyeon which had more generous amounts of pork. The rice bowl it comes with is quite small. We ran out well before the kimchi stew was completed, and they charge $2 for rice refills. Overall, the food was decent and service is solid. Pricing was slightly steep with a bowl of jjajangmyeon (noodles with stir fry pork sauce overlying) running at $19 and a bowl of mostly kimchi and a few pieces of tofu/pork pieces costing $17. Their banchan/rice refill policy is questionable, but the food scratches the itch in a city with a smaller Korean population and minimal competition.

The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food.
