Here's what happened: I brought in a simple skirt to be pressed. The pleats were done, sure, but the rest of the skirt was completely wrinkled. I asked for a redo, picked it up the next day, and not only were the wrinkles STILL there, but the fabric now looked powdery white. My skirt is completely ruined and unusable. The worst part: The girl at the counter was completely unsympathetic and even tried to gaslight me, insisting she "didn't see any wrinkles or powder" and telling me that if I had a problem, I should "call her boss and take it up with him." Before I walked out, I took photos right in front of her specifically for this review. And for the grand finale... Said Boss is nowhere to be found! He hides behind his employees. They'll answer the phone, but somehow he's "never available." Three days, no call back. Shady business, period.

First off, the process they use is simple and efficient. I've never had to wait long in line to drop off my stuff, and they'll shoot you a text when it's ready for pickup. I similarly have never had to wait long to pick up my clothes. I've mostly been to Tatum Cleaners for button-up dress shirts and blazers. And once to clean a rug. The amount of time it takes them to take care of business is reasonable, and the prices are reasonable. I've never ran into any issues. That's the type of experience you look for at a dry cleaners.

The delivery person never showed up with my missing comforter. I later found out this missing comforter was sent to the Carefree location & given to another customer which I don't understand since I still have my claim ticket, what did this other person use to receive an item that isn't theirs? I couldn't get an answer when I called and spoke to someone who actually hung up on me instead of answering a simple question then refused to answer the phone during the last hour of business. This week I was finally told I would get my dry cleaning picked up on Wednesday and Delivered back on Friday so I would have it for the 3 day weekend. Well it is Thursday afternoon and my Dry Cleaning is still on my front steps. I personally spoke to the driver, Carlos and he said he can come and pick it up on Tuesday of next week. What happened to his promise of yesterdays pick up? Said there has been system issues? However, his message about being stuck in Denver for a few days got to me with no problems. Every Sunday at around 5PM I get a text asking which day I would like it picked up and not once have I been able to get it done. Once I take it in, they do drop it back off. I have asked to speak to the Manager at the Cave Creek location and they are never there. They told me to call Anthem today bacause she was over at that location. Well no she is not! The owner is Scott but no one has his number and or where he is? Horrible customer service! I told them I was cancelling my service and will not return. Carlos said, "OK." Go somewhere else that cares about you and the service they are supposed to be providing.

I decided to return to Express Cleaners because of my past experience. I dropped off my clothes Monday afternoon and requested Thursday pickup. I also asked for heavy starch on the shirt. I had a few other items cleaned with the same request. When I returned Thursday afternoon, my order was incomplete and one item was missing. The employee told me to come back the next day. I returned Friday and picked everything up. I trusted the order was correct and did not inspect the items before leaving. When I got back to my hotel, I noticed the shirts were not heavy starch at all. They were very lightly pressed. One red dress shirt also had a stain near the bottom that was not removed. That part is on me for not checking the clothes before leaving the store. I did pay extra for the heavy starch and expected the work to be done correctly. I tried calling the store so they could address the issue, but no one answered the phone. I now live in another state so there is little I can do about it. I am sharing this so others pay close attention when picking up their clothes. Check every item before you leave the counter. The quality and attention to detail were not what I expected based on my previous experience.
