Love this coffee shop! It has such a great interior decor, with many seating options. They even have fresh flower arrangements around that brighten it up even more. I frequently get a latte, but my favorite is the flash chilled iced coffee. My husband and I like stopping by here on a Saturday night after dinner. A nice coffee, cappuccino, or latte and cookie or pastry in the relaxing setting is great. I really need to frequent Tidal Grounds more, I like the fact they are a local small business. What a cool coffee house this is. The staff are so friendly and seem to love their job. Their enthusiasm adds to the ambiance and makes each visit a fun time. Each time i have went in we have had a fun time chatting with the staff. We have tried several of the coffees both hot and cold and have enjoyed each and everyone one of them. Their locally sourced baked goods are to die for. Our favorites are the bagel bombs and the quiche. We have tired all flavors of the quiche and they are all delicious. The inside is open and inviting so a great place to come and relax and take in a coffee and snack. I look forward to my next visit to take in some tasty coffee and some more bagel bombs. read more

Great study spot! Lots of seating and outlets available. There is wifi but I think you have to ask for the password, I usually just use my own hotspot or the public shopping center wifi. I'm not a huge coffee person but the cinnamon bun and honey, lavender lattes have been good and the baristas are really nice. read more

This place is always there when I need it! Tidal Grounds is the only coffee shop I know that is open early in the morning and doesn't close until around 9pm-10pm. They are in a great location and have even been open during a hurricane where I found myself working often when nothing else was open. The inside is small and quaint and has a lot of outlets for those who need to charge their electronics. They have all the essentials you need for coffee, tea, and pastries but I do wish there were more options for when I'm feeling something different. They have things I had never tried before such as the bagel bombs and monkey bread (from a coffee shop) and they really do deliver on these two items. So delicious! They also serve their tea in a cute setup with a tray and tea pot. Some of the time with their lattes they don't portion out the milk with the matcha or chai (depending on what you got) so it can taste watered down. The staff is friendly and I very much enjoy the atmosphere whenever I stop in or stay for awhile. read more

I'm not usually in this part of town as much anymore, but I was close by over the weekend and decided to stop in and check the place out. It's across the street from On Forty One in the same plaza. The inside is painted a Yelp red and adorned with your standard hipster coffee shop accouterments. My favorite is the live plants on the tables and built in power outlets galore! It was hot out so I wanted something cold. I'm a big fan of cold brew due to there being less acidity, but they didn't offer cold brew. I went with the next best thing which seemed to be the flash chilled iced coffee. It was delicious and I didn't feel like it was acidic at all... even drinking it black. I was hoping they had some food available and they did have a few cookies and pastries. I shared a raspberry cream cheese danish and would absolutely recommend it. This place seems like the perfect spot for a meeting or blasting out some emails. With the power outlets and wifi it's road warrior approved. I'd like to see some more food options, but overall I really enjoyed my experience. read more

Serving Black Tap coffee beans, one of my favs! Today I indulged in the tomato and spinach quiche. What a flavorful, creamy, and lovely brunch item. While I typically am not a quiche fan, today I wasn't in the mood for a pastry (my usual go to), and I am shockingly surprised at how wonderful each bite is! Heard about this new coffee shop and stopped in to check it out. It is conveniently located at the corner of 17 and 41. This place is truly a 'mom and pop' establishment, but more precisely a 'dad and daughter', Ray and Janelle. Both are very friendly and welcoming. I was there in the late afternoon and got a fresh-brewed 'blue eyes' iced tea served in a nice glass. Just what I needed on another humid 95+ degree summer day. And, for you iced tea drinkers out there, they offer simple syrup along with the creamers and sugars to sweeten up your drink to your liking. These guys epitomize what a local shop is all about. They just opened up a little over a week ago. Inside, they brew and serve locally roasted coffee fresh from Black Tap Coffee. They get their baked goods fresh from over at Bakies. And they are happy to talk to you and serve up custom requests (I talked to them about an iced Spanish latte...maybe next time). Oh, and just fyi, they offer free wifi if you want to stop in, connect, and catch up on some work. Ray told me a little about himself and getting the shop up and open. Most of the tables and wood furniture were created by Salt Wood Co. across the way on 41, and is made from reclaimed barn wood. The place has a modern but comfortable feel to it. And I like the big industrial fans overhead. I'll post a bunch of pics so you can get an idea of the interior. Ray, Janelle and family are new to Mt P over the past year.
