The 3-star rating would be a 5, but their drive thru was "designed" so that people can hardly use the actual parking lot. There are so many parking spaces in the lots surrounding it that it's far easier to park in those and walk to the store. That's the bugaboo with this business. Otherwise it's a fine, welcoming environment and the last time I was here they didn't get the size of the drink right so they made another and let me keep the "undersized" coffee. That was very generous and appreciated. When I need to walk a bit and have a coffee craving while in this neighborhood, this is where I'll be. It's a good thing we've had great weather this spring. I wouldn't come here if it was raining. There is certainly a better way to route the traffic in the drive thru. I understand the convenience of a drive thru, but I wouldn't sit and burn up all that gas and pollute the area just to sit in line for a cup of coffee or two. read more

I literally hate this starbucks so much. The communication behind the counter is so off it's ridiculous. I come here all the time & because i am a bulk merchandiser full time im always on the road, leaves me almost no time to take care of things at home. I'm notorious for buying and using the tumblers at Starbucks but sometimes i have to rinse them out a bit in the restroom to use it. Never been a issue before. All of a sudden Amy & grey tell me even if it's rinsed out it isn't clean so they can't use it. The wifi sucks even worse. This place is definitely on my s*** list. read more

I love this Starbucks!! Great friendly professional staff! My orders are always right with no mix ups. My drinks are hot and just like I ordered them. The baristas are the best in town and the staff always has a friendly smile to greet me. The store is modern and has a great selection of the newest merchandise. I will start off by saying, I frequent this Starbucks only because it is so close to my home and that is the only reason. The service is extremely slow, especially when you go inside or use their mobile ordering to "save time" - HA! The past week when I went in to purchase a pastry and a summer Venti refresher (I really do like the flavor of the mango dragonfruit refresher), there was no one in line but it still took them over 10 minutes to provide me with my drink and a pastry (no, it did not require being warmed up - heaven help them if it did need any extra work beside putting it in the bag and handing it to me). I have often placed my mobile order, waited at home for 10 minutes before leaving, to still have to sometimes stand in the store for another 15 minutes to pick up my drink - and they call that time savings. Now, not all things are that bad. As I said I really enjoy the refresher. The coffee drinks are hit and miss and I have often found the baristas do not follow Starbucks recipes, especially with toppings such as the Cascara on the top of your foam that often go missing. There are a few of the drive-thru employees that are amazing and really try to get to know you in the brief moment you pass by their window, but they do acknowledge their "regulars". I can commend one of the inside associates recently for introducing me to the addition of lemonade to my mango dragonfruit refresher - nice touch! I wish the help could be better but I understand there is trouble at this time finding good workers. It may help if the manager would be around more (I have never seen a manager at this Starbucks). Unfortunately, I will continue to visit this location, but not as often as I could given the proximity to my comings and goings. There are far better coffee shops in the area who have amazing employees that can fill an order correctly and in a matter of minutes. My main wish for this place is they improve. Please! read more

If you could give zero stars this would be the place. This is the DIRTIEST Starbucks I've ever been too and considering it is in a very nice area it is shocking territory management doesn't care. They are SLOW and it is so apparent the staff could care less and barely does the bare minimum of their job. I didn't see any hustle even though the drive thru line was around the building, about 20 people inside picking up mobile orders that were were 15 minutes behind. The guy doing the food prepped it when it came in so it was cold by the time you got your drink 25 minutes later. The staff here are really awesome, so courteous polite and go above and beyond to assist a finicky customer like me. They have a new little delight on offer right now, it's called the Bantam Bagel. Um...after multiple visits, I am disappointed with the Starbucks service here. I certainly was thrilled with a Starbucks being close, but the service here is now making me not want to come back.They need a lesson from the team on Coleman. Don't get me wrong, there was the basic greet at register upon arrival. But nothing else afterwards. We waited for our cold Refreshers at the bar near the clover machine. But the barista working here never looked at nor greeted us here. Rather odd. Then our drinks were served via auction name calling method, even though we were seated right at the end, and no one else was waiting. Meanwhile the rest of the crew were just self engaged with each other and not once demonstrated the friendly Starbucks service we have experienced at other locations. The store is so clean and it has preppy drinks and is preppy. I got to say first I am not sure who designed this Starbucks to include the parking lot but they should never be allowed to design anything else ever again. I really hate the parking set up and have actually avoided coming here when it is busy. I do like coffee and when needed come in for a caffeine influx when I need a pick me up. I prefer the Americano as it has more caffeine than most of their over offerings. Add in a caramel drizzle and wala I am back to my old self. We signed up for the rewards which makes SB a little more reasonable as we tend to get a free drink or snack after just a few visits. The staff here is OK but definitely like many other SB you are cattle being herded in and out. I go to SB out of convenience and not for quality coffee. Using their App to order gets me in and out super fast making visits much more bearable. read more

This is one of my least favorite Starbucks locations in Mount Pleasant. The parking lot is always jam packed, and if you don't park in the right place, the drive thru line will block you in. Service has gotten better here, with it taking under 5 minutes to receive an order (used to be worse). Ambience inside isn't great, and outside seating gives you views of the parking lot or drive thru lane. Not bad if you are grabbing a coffee quick and leaving, but would not recommend this location for a meeting, date, or get together. read more

Truthfully with both of the Starbucks around this area it is a 50/50 shot whether you will get a good drink or not. Yet again went through the drive thru and ordered a hot cocoa cloud macchiato. $6.05. Drink again came cold instead of hot . The drive thru lady was super nice and I heard her tell the barista it is supposed to be a hot cocoa cloud. Had to wait awhile for them to remake. Running late for work now so I poured it in my other cup when I got down the road and it cooled for a min, took a sip and it was the most sickenly strong taste of caramel. Totally wrong drink. And undrinkable. Again. I'm so so tired of wondering every time I order if my drink will be nasty again and I'm wasting my money. I'm pretty sure I'm going to stop going altogether. Btw, I go a lot! The hardest thing to achieve in business is consistency. Well, this Starbucks location was just able to achieve the unthinkable! Completely messed up my orders more than 60% of the time (I am very good with stats). Very consistent in getting it wrong... I understand being a barista at Starbucks might not be your career goal, but to make it to where you would like to be in life the advice would be to put 100% of effort into everything that you do, even if the situation is temporary. Besides the many mistakes on making the wrong coffee, giving a cup with milk and no coffee at all in it (that actually happened twice), and always waiting a tremendous amount of time even when the place is empty, today we hit the pinnacle of the bad services. Placed an online order, paid for it on the app, walked in, asked about my order: "not ready" was the answer. Waited a total of 30 more minutes understanding the place was packed, and when finally decided to ask again: "sorry our mobile orders have not been working all day". Here is another advice to management: please train your employees properly. If online orders are not working, and you are aware of it, a sign should be placed so costumers are aware. Employees should also announce that mobile orders are not working, even though the app says otherwise and you have paid for it. I am beyond happy a new location is opening just a few miles from this one so I won't have to deal with this ignorance and lack of ideal costumer service. Thank you Starbucks! After multiple visits to this particular sbux, I finally had to break down and write a review. Mediocrity thrives at this particular location. I pulled through the drive-thru and ordered an iced coffee w/ cream on the side. I paid for my drink and pulled back out onto 17 in the pouring rain, only to find that my coffee was loaded with sweetener. With an hour drive ahead I decided it was worth it to make the U-turn. Heather, the drive-thru wench, offered no apology and simply stated that if I order an iced coffee, it will come with sweetener. I've been to ATLEAST 15 different Sbux in different states and was always asked wether I wanted sweetener or not when ordering. This is far and away the slowest, and now rudest, Sbux I have ever visited. Unfortunate too, as its on my way to work. Save your time and $$, because this location will steal both. read more

"What a great location," I said to my husband as I drove onto this Starbucks' lot. "But, look at that line for the drive-up," he said ... "We'll be here for an hour." "No problem," I replied and pulled into a nice, wide parking spot (there were plenty of empty spaces). I parked and we easily walked to the entrance (as opposed to the frenetic parking area at the drive-up location across from the Town Centre). I noticed that while there were many customers inside, there was no line at the counter so I suggested that he sit at a table in the sun on the great patio with Teddy (our furson) and that I'd be outside to join them right away. I ordered two items ... my usual spinach feta wrap and a pumpkin spice latte (and picked up a pastry for my hub). The latte was ready in a flash; however, the wait for my wrap was unreasonable. In fact, my latte was lukewarm by the time the wrap was ready. I was not pleased and will not stop at this location, again. I go to this Starbucks very often and usually have friendly service but today was the first time I was super unhappy. The man who took my order in the drive thru was very condescending and was getting frustrated with me because I didn't know how to order the drink I wanted properly after I told him it was fine and not worry about it(because I didn't like the way he was talking to me) he kept going and at that point I felt uncomfortable.. we pull up to the window to him and another women talking badly about us. This Starbucks is sadly plagued by the same trio of street urchins who basically live at this store. I have never been here when there wasn't these two haggard old women and equally haggard man who set up a gigantic computer monitor on the largest table in the store. They then proceed to sit in the adjacent leather chairs for hours and sleep. So now you have 3 people taking up a table and 3 of the 4 leather chairs. basically occupying a whole corner of the store. ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!: THIS is exactly why Starbucks has to be allowed to ask people to leave the store! You have 3 non-customers who treat the store like their personal shack and fill a corner with their squalor. This is not insensitivity, it is just a business and these people take advantage of the business and ruin the experience for other paying customers. Otherwise Service here is also bit hit-or-miss. Often the baristas are FAR more obsessed with the Drive-Thru window and ignore customers actually at the counter inside. And the parking lot is pretty atrocious when crowded because its too small for parked cars and a busy drive-thru. read more

This is always a busy location but for some great rest reason, staff always gets you through quickly. We've tried both walk-in and drive-thru and at different times of the day. Only the occasional toasting of our croissant when we like them room temp happens. But that's a minor thing considering how courteous and speedy service is.
